Even after decades my fascination with railroads never ends. Thank you!! What's sad though- it is so evident just how horrid the design was for this railroad (which actually was more of a freight line than a passenger line when it was conceived) Jamaica station switching is prehistoric & so outdated hence the reason the trains have to go 5 mph in both directions approaching the station from more than a half mile away. If the LIRR really want to bring their service into the 20th century they would tear out & completely redo the myriad of absurd switching that existing at both Jamaica & Sunnyside. Of course since this is the MTA & NYS train service would have to be halted for 25 years to do this and the cost over runs would probably be a trillion dollars...LOL
33:38 unless im wrong it looks like the line was realigned.
6:53 smooth track changes

Too Your Surprise It Still Is
I enjoy your vids; your camera lens are clean, you can hear the conductor clearly, and you're not moving your camera all over the place. Thanks👍🏾
Always dislikes for a simple yet very nice train video. Sad. You keep doing what you do!!🙂😍
we want more video...pleaseeeeeeee especially in Long Island !! Ciao from Milano Italia!!
Lovely video, thank you for posting this. The LIRR trains seem to run very slow, why don't they run faster like at least 110 mph?
MAS (maximum authorized speed) is 80mph on LIRR tracks.
Ayo! You passed my house!
Oh hell yeah, 9896's brake release is pure train porn right there lol !
