In Mushoku Tensei season 2 Rudeus met Sara, and while the Rudy x Sara pairing was short lived, it affected his story a lot. In the light novel version of Mushoku Tensei AKA Jobless Reincarnation, there is an extra section from Sara's POV that sees her talking to Suzanne, Timothy and even Elise after the incident where she saw Rudeus insulting her to Soldat. This piece from Sara's perspective reveals a lot about how she feels, even after Rudeus has left, and how she might approach things if Sara and Rudeus ever meet again.
This is a cut content video that does not spoil later events from the Mushoku Tensei anime, and includes a full reading of the Sara POV chapter, as well as analysis of what her perspective means in terms of the story.

I think if they meet again, it is likely they would become close friends after discussing what happened. It seems unlikely that they would get back together though

In the anime she was pretty consistently a bitch to Rudeus, so yes, this changes a perspective on her. She was also an orphan from a village that the Geayrat family failed to protect from monsters. She often saw young nobles escape their pampered lifestyles to become adventurers, only to put professionals they teamed up with in danger, then go back to being nobles afer a few quests, so pretty much like when Eris went Goblin hunting with a prodigy mage.
That said, I'd love to see Sara's reaction to the panty shrine as well as to Elisese Dragonroad sleeping around and ending up in Rudy's bed, or witnessing the awkward conversation between Elisese, Rudeus and Soldat.
Can we just acknowledge that if Rudeus had stayed with Sara… Hitogami would have won
While I do understand her position where she stood on, I kinda think, there is the so called "REDEMPTION ARK" for stuff like that. :X
I know this might sound dumb, but as a listener, i appreciate the ad placement. It wasn't mid sentence nor mid word. The placement came at a natural break in the video, right after you said you'd read the book and just before reading from the book. That is a perfect spot for an ad because now i know everything that you said before and know what is coming up. I can go about my business and not have to rewind to figure out what was said before. It is nicely done on your part.
The story was well written from a emotional perspective. but as far as the question goes on changing my perspective on sara. no since the story had some logical flaws to it. Its a little extra to spend 6 months with someone and not notice Rudeus was depressed based on their initial interactions and how he would continue to act for the whole 6 months. like didnt even give him a chance or benefit of the doubt. despite the fact that he saved her when the whole party basically abandoned her to save themselves(understandable) + she even acknowledges that she judged him wrong at the start and started to grow feelings for him. so for her to say that hes basically some sociopath that was lying to them was a far stretch considering that she kept advancing on him with her flirtyness and he only made a move at the very end when she initiated and was basically like "bring it home rudeus" so he wasn't trying to toy with her feelings like she was implying.
So no, i hope they get a chance to meet and she can apologize and talk things out but they should not have a romantic relationship again.

I do wish the anime gave us a bit of Sara's perspective after Rudeus left, it would of made the episode even more bitter-sweet. However I understand that the show is mostly from Rudy's point of view.

this is why i'm glad i've never gotten drunk before, cause when you're trying to build a relationship and things go wrong you lose yourself while being under the influence and you try to drown out those negative feelings of sadness in booze and end up just spouting a mix of things you mean and things that you don't mean.
I dont really feel all that bad for Sara, its hard to feel bad for impulsive people who just say and do whatever they want, most people will regret their wrongs as an after fact and thats if they find the excuse personally legit.
who I am really sorry for is Rudy given well... lets be honest he has a shit life from his past before coming there and even in the story with a few glimpses of joy here and there that are always fading, thats my thought at least and I find it ironic that Sara is the one who thinks he lived a sheltered life only to have that notion somehow flip on its head by the end of it.
In the heat of the moment we often say and do hurtful things. If we are lucky things can be patched up quickly or later on, but not always. What I love so much about this Story is that the Interactions and Emotions of Characters feel so real. Relationship and Life in general is often not pretty, but with any luck we will end up in a better place along the way. I have learned to look back at all the Mistakes and Pain made along the way in Life as it ending up with me being where I need to be. If not for all of them I would have never met the Woman who became my Wife, and without her I would surly be in a worse place. Keep moving forward because every step is another chance to find where you belong.

I kinda liked Sara at least as much as the other girls, and don't think she's at fault. Too bad the anime is cutting somethings, and the way they did it, very bad... It made Rudeus look way worse than he is, and it also destroyed Sara. A wasted character even in the LN.

Knowing more does make me like Sara better, but it's still hard for me to empathize with her. Even if she had been right and he just wasn't attracted to her, acting like having ED was a deliberate insult is kind of insane. No guy ever _wants_ to feel emasculated regardless of the situation. Even if he had chosen to sleep with her out of nothing but sheer loneliness and desperation, it still would have meant he was suffering too. Her reaction paints her as rather callous and self-centered even by her own understanding of the situation.

Personally, even if the story is about Rudeus, I do feel like they could still include things like this, maybe not in a episode, but more like an ova or something? Idk, I just feel like from listening to the story you read, it could've easily been maybe a couple minutes of an episode or ova, especially since I feel it adds to things in the story. If she does show up again, I hope we at least get a run down of things for an episode.

Yes they can. I dont know about you, but last time I checked this was Rudeus' story, not Sara's.
I get that there are people who will never know Sara's story, but thats okay. They dont need to know. Its not the point of Mushoku Tensei.
I think that's unlikely. There are plenty of parts like this that we're cut, for instance the story of what happened to Ghislaine after the teleportation incident, or how Fitts, Ariel and Luke escaped the kingdom.
If they had the choice and the budget to do sidestories, I think the studio would 99% opt to do Eris' or Roxy's or Sylphie's journey.

Sara was merely a means to highlighting, providing a better understanding of how bad and serious Rudeus's depression was after Eris leaving him, how he struggled with it and failed to overcome it and move on.
That is the whole point of the depressed mage arc (plus makimg his decision to enroll in the school more believable and compellimg). The arc (Volume 7, Anime S2 EP1-3) is not about Rudeus-Sara love story, but about a depressed mage, Rudeus.
Sara has already served her role in the main-story plot the author wanted her to do, and has little more to do from now on.
So she has only a couple of short return moments, but nothing more.
In short, she is pretty much a minor side character in the grand narrative scheme of Mushoku tensei (at least from now on)
The chracters you guys saw in the credit scene at the end of S2 EP 4- Cliff, Nanahoshi, two beast girls, Zanoba, Sylphy, Ariel, Luke, etc including Elinalise - are the Real Gang of the Mushoku tensei who will get deeply involved with the life of Rudeus and the main story-plot of Mushoku tensei till the end of the series.
So forget her and move on.
sara could be a great character though, i thought she'd come by on future episodes but sadly that's only saras purpose , to show how fragile rudeus is when eris left and dumped him

If they got together, everything would change. If Rudeus had rejected her, not much would have. Given the timing, he probably would have rejected her, but at least been happy to hear the apology.

I liked Sara quite a bit. Sure - she was rash and even a little bratty, but she was still just a child, living a life well beyond her years and emotional matureness. I hope they reunite and have a good talk, and maybe sort this out.

I think its always interesting when a change in perspective is done. Helps to being a better understanding to a situation even ones that seem black and white. I do feel bad for both Sara and Rudeus that this happened but it is nice to know they at least both learned from it. Do hope they can at least say their peace one day even if it might not be necessary.

Sara became my instant easily most hate-able character. One of the worst things a woman can do is say to a guy that she intended to lay with is stating that she was "Only doing it out of 'Obligation'". There isn't a man alive who would take that as anything remotely positive. If a woman was up front about saying that shes going to sleep with a man out of feeling "Obligated" to do so, then generally speaking on average a man would probably try, but in the end they'd hold themselves back and reject that as being a reason to sleep with a woman. If a man did intend to sleep with a woman that said she only felt "Obligated" to do so, then it would just be proof positive that the man didn't care about her at all in the first place -- but if a man did care about her, then he'd want to work towards her reciprocating such feelings for him before he could allow himself to sleep with her.
TL;DR On average, a man can't sleep with a woman if she feels "Obligated" to do so. It's a huge blow to a mans heart to know that she doesn't feel anything for him.
It's true that it was a terrible thing to say, but she was trying to save face. She thought he couldn't get it up because he wasn't attracted to her and what she said was out of pride rather than being ignorant as to how it would affect him. It literally says in the part I read in this video that if she had been older she would have seen things differently, but she is immature and inexperienced. The point is how they are both insecure in their own way and this is how a girl her age with no experience might act - it's that kind of 'I dumped you first' thing you do when you're like, 15.
@@NatalieXHunter Not gonna fly and doesn't make sense to be relate-able realistically. Rudeus would've been her first, there's nothing to compare herself to in order to feel insecure about such things, she technically shouldn't have even remotely felt like she was competing romantically for that to cross her mind. It's a mistake that shouldn't have blown out the way it did. Most girls her age IRL that I knew growing up acted snobby and stuck up their nose, they'd only felt insecure about whether or not a boy was attracted to them if they got cheated on or felt like they had competition amongst other girls for a specific boys attention.
Haven't read the LN but I'm pretty sure that even if I did at this point I'd know without reading it regardless, that there was no such mentions or elements of competition for Sara to be insecure & immature about.
She just made a mistake as a plot device for Rudeus to realize he's suffering from ED. I hoped that the anime would've branched out an alternate timeline from the LN due to the nature of reality within this anime to being only slightly different in that Sara would join the harem and/ or at the very least become a trusted companion. But sadly no, guess that for once an anime decided to not stray away too far from its source material, good or bad thing I couldn't say.
In any case, Sara is irredeemable now in my eyes. It's unnecessary for women in general to attack a mans libido, doesn't work on me anymore of course but I digress, women tend to all be the same, they know they can weaponize that sort of rhetoric towards men and they do it because they know they can hurt them. To me, it makes them sad and pathetic because they think that only men have a libido -- women also have a libido, it goes both ways, but the attacks on ones libido is one-sidedly weaponized against only one of the two sexes.

Odd question, but was there a volume in between eris leaving and crimson dragon hunt? I feel like I accidentally missed a volume while reading, cuz i dont remember sara or any of the counter arrow at all except later in the story when she appears again
It sounds like you read the web novel. Volume 7, where Sara appears, was added in in the LN, so she never appeared in the WN and that part was just a time skip.

I didn't hate Sarah and understood that they both messes up in the relationship by taking things too fast. This cut content changed my persoective from indeferent on both parties to positive on Sarah

I'm an anime only viewer, sara pissed me off, yeah she's immature yada yada. I still hate how she didn't try to understand him and just insulted him when he couldn't get it up. I understood her anger the second time after his drunken rambling, but still she pissed me off.
I also hate how rudeous keeps taking the blame of everything in himself and doesn't advocate for himself at all.
