I love him. I could watch him all day lol. I just learned about how Capybaras are about to make friends with all different types of species, and scientists don't know why. They are fascinating, and very Zen lol..

Capybaras seem so well mannered most of the time. They have the positive traits of large dogs without some of the annoying traits. Lol. But that sorta worries me, because if people perceive them to be ideal pets, then a disgusting capybara pet trade will spring up, and you'll have capys stolen from the wild, forced into breeding mills, and you'll have people buy them with no clue about their special needs as animals, which means you'll have idiots releasing them into the wild, or killing them due to neglect, or giving them up over and over because they weren't capable of providing for them properly. It almost makes me wish that capys didn't seem like such cool animals, because if people thought they wouldn't make good pets, they'd leave them the hell alone!
They are wonderful, but hopefully not too much for their own good, given inconsiderate and greedy as well as kind people.
HighlanderNorth1 I remember watching a documentary with other people that owned a Capy and it was aggressive. They definitely aren’t all cuteness and love, still wild animals
You can also butcher a capybara & eat it if you're sick of it as a pet. I mean, tribal people in South America do that. #CIRCLEofLIFE

I think I might get one of these for a pet myself. Looks like they can eat a lot of the same vegetables I'd have in the kitchen anyway. That and they also like dogs; that's always a plus.
