Nice, that one really shows off her vocal range. If you'd like a suggestion, I think 心という名の不可解 (KokoroToIuNanoFukakai) is really good to show her "voice acting" skills in a song.

She's recording on her own. She is completely self-produced. When she made her debut at the age of 17, she had a director, trainer, and other people with her, but she couldn't stand it when they gave her the OK without her being satisfied. She says that now she goes into the studio by herself, records on her own MacBook, including the backing chorus, and passes the data to the arranger. 20 years old and self-produced with such quality is a great talent.

She actually worked with Giga-P, Teddyloid and TOPHAMHAT-KYO for the song who are famous producers in the Utaite scene.

Her parents probably allowed and encouraged her to sing for as long as she spoke. She sings like someone who has sung their entire life because they love singing their feelings out.

yup! she started out recording vocaloid covers in her closet. stuck some foam she cut out on the walls to make a DIY recording booth and sat down on the ground and just started belting like the queen she is

I feel like that might be part of why her singing is so unique, because she started out with no guidance she had no limitations on her capabilities but could instead just see what she could accomplish.
The utaite/vocaloid scene really shaped these amazing singers coming out of recent.
Vocaloids were doing things we didnt think normal human could sing into back in the day. Now we have singers finding new and creative ways with their voices to reach and flex into ranges akin to what the vocaloids could do.
What's really amazing about Ado is that she can sing this song live with the same quality. Ado demonstrated this while dancing at a recent live performance.

I was at ADO's national tour in Japan here in Tokyo, and I can say that it's surely an experience. She has the stamina to put on a full show for 2 entire hours!!! She recently announced she is doing a world wide tour next, so if any of you have the chance to, I highly recommend going to her concerts. It's something you will enjoy and remember for a long time! ;)

@@galaxykitsune I want to tell you that nothing is worth your soul, but in this case, it is. The concert was absolutely amazing. At the end she did an encore of 3 songs, where one of them was "Show", so everyone there heard it live before it even was released to the public. The VIP tickets (which I got) was like 80 dollars, soooo worth it. Only issue is, getting a ticket here in Japan is so difficult because everyone wants one. Hopefully its easier when she goes abroad.
She announced the world tour at the concert, so more information will come out on her website "Ado Doki Doki" most likely when the current tour comes to a close.

One thing that surprised me was her age. She's born in 2002 and she's already this vocally amazing and successful. It's like she's had almost decades of experience singing.
She can do whatever the F she wants with her voice and it will sound like a master piece. Ado is what happens when you have the raw talent of a genius but also put in the hard work to master your abilities.
I've gotta say, I really appreciate this reaction. I've seen plently that loved Ado's growls or any other technique she uses, but I feel like you're the only one that really hit the nail on the head by mentioning how free her singing is. I hope you keep reacting to her because she is absolutely fantastic. She's also releasing a cover album in December so that should be fun~

Ado is 20 years old. She skyrocketed in to mainstream fame asia after her first Original song called Usseewa in 2020. (which is slang for shut up.) It was released a day before her 18th birthday. She has not ever revealed her face.
I feel like producers really love working with Ado because of her versatility and insane vocals.
The producers, Giga and teddyloid produce vocaloid songs too and I guess they're happy to have Ado sing their songs which are hard to sing. It must be so fun to let her sing and see how far her voice and skills can go.
Giga and Teddyloid said in a conversation with Ado, "We have lots of ideas, so please sing new songs again."
It's just amazing how you detect those ranges of frequencies she gave out. She let out mesmerising vocal tone, playfulness, and just like you said, freedom, openness that is not control and contained.
So happy to see you get in Ado's train. Enjoy this 20yo freaking genius

This song scratches such a specific part of my brain and it feels incredible to see someone getting as excited about the technical aspects of why Ado's voice is incredible as I get as a layman over the catharsis I get from it.

MILLIONS of people love Ado's voice. Not that many know two artists inspire her. If you wanna understand ONE singers style. Gotta see their influences. And in interviews she's said TOPHAMHATKYO is one VERY strong influence. Also fun fact: ussewa (her first debut) was recorded in a closet and hit top 100 in Japan! And if you wanna hear someone similar to TOPHAMHATKYO, Fake type is another VERY similar artist.

ADO herself explains this song on the しらすた channel, and I thought it was great that she grasped what ADO was thinking and singing about, for those who could understand it.
This dude's boutta get blown away once he digs more into japanese artists and anime openings, and I'm sure it won't disappoint especially that majority of those songs are differently engineered musically.
the crazy thing is for every amazing popular japanese artist there's about 10 underrated ones that are on that level or higher, its crazy. Found an artist similar to Ado called megatera zero who goes absolutely crazy with his vocal arrangements and it makes his songs sound just as free as hers. You should check out his yoi dore shirazu, they both just have the controlled insanity feel to them. Ado and Megatera have basically become my addictions in music this year.

I'd never heard this before. I absolutely loved it. As "free" as her singing is, the music is just as free. I love art that seems wild and uninhibited. But it never seems like weirdness for the sake of weirdness. It seems like weirdness as a pure and unbridled expression of the self.
