Ado released cover song "unravel" today if you are interested.
There's a singer named AmaLee who has made english covers of Ado's songs from the "One Piece - Red" movie. She is very good. 😊❤
FYI, this was her second to last song of her concert where she sang, I think, 23 songs. The day she sang this was actually about a week before the song was officially released so the crowd really wasn't as responsive as they were just being blown away by whatever was blessing their ears, hearing it for the first time. She sang this as one of her 3 songs in the encore where she came out of the cage. While she was in her cage the band actually had spotlights on them so we can see the band playing while she hid behind her veil. I was in attendance at the concert the day before and it was worth every penny....er yen.

Most impressive thing about Ado is that she plays with his voice even more in Live performances. If you watch Unravel Live and studio version you'll see that she puts even more crazy things in the stage, its truly amazing.
Yes, usually what I hear is singers toning it down on the distortion for example, but she did that whistle note in dignity and lots of fry screaming and growling in unravel, actually the scream on "unraveling the world" sounds BETTER in the live version it's truly insane

Something that's absolutely crazy to me as well is that Ado is only 21 years old. Her voice has so much character, and is so developed, and at such a young age, it's mind-blowing.
It's 2 o'clock in the morning in Japan, but I got a notification and flew out of bed😆

Yes! When she started screaming in the live version of Usseewa I was shocked and amazed. She definitely captures the anger, disgust and anxiety of the current generation. Speaks to my soul.

I found you through Ado's reaction videos by musician and I really appreciate you as a whole because you not only reacting but also give very length full explanation and even practice it yourself! I am no musician or vocalist but whenever you encourage your viewers to try the techniques themselves to find out what can they do with their own voice is just wholesome. I learn new things from your videos
This live version is so much more pleasing then the recorded one. But both are great fun to listen to.

I saw her during her world tour in April and her voice is so cool to hear in person 😭
I really love how you point things out about her voice, and then when you replay it, you notice it more as it was described.
And something worth reacting to could be Tot-musica by Amalee. I know you listened to Ado's, but Amalee voices the same person as Ado but in english. I think she conveyed it very well for changing the language.

There is an interview where Ado talks about how she sings "Show"s song, a vocal coach talks to her, she said that the song was the most difficult for her, she had to practice a lot. GOGOGO, next song of Ado, "Unravel". Unravel is one of the hardest song to cover, but she did perfect.

I would politely ask not to watch the live performance of it (don't get me wrong...I love it and it's pure gold) because what's floating around is not officially released by her. Her entire concert was streamed on her birthday as a one shot deal, but somebody clipped Unravel and posted it online. I know there's no way to unsee it or completely scrape it off the internet, but I just ask that reactions, etc. be done of official releases out of respect for the artist.

It just shows how talented she is. And she does a lot of these shows back to back. Usually up to 4 days at most in between the concerts! I love how she actually performs without lipsyncing! Impressive pop artist! Now, you really want impressive, look up Metal bands called Dir en Grey and Maximum the Hormone!
I just have to give it to Giga for PUTTING OUT BANGER INSTURMENTALS, its insane, makes sense why every single japanese vocalist under the sun has worked with him

id LOVE to hear you do a cover of the song, or even do another vocal analysis of one of Ado's other songs!
i'd highly recommend Tot Musica, her vocals in that song are insane and the producer behind the song is extremely well-known in a lot of anime and gaming music experts.
Another song would be Ashura-chan, which the producer is known for producing Vocaloid rock songs and have very fun guitar sounds as a result.
Ussewa, her first original song, would be a BLAST to analyze, especially because the producer for that song is known for having an almost chaotic style of music that his own original songs have that same style of intensity in vocal performance and lyrics.
If you're looking for other Japanese vocalists to analyze, I would recommend checking out Mafumafu and seeing what your opinions on his vocal performances are like! If it helps, I would recommend the songs Sore wo Ai to Yobu Dake, Paradise Lost and Hitomodoki. After hearing what his usual vocal range is, then I would love to hear your reaction to his performance of Onnanoko ni Naritai since it caught a lot of people off guard.

One point to also make is that Japanese sounds in speech carry less information than syllables in English so there are more of them... leading to faster beats for similar amounts of linguistic expression, but the sounds themselves are simpler...

If you'd like to hear another Japanese artist, You should check out "Hollowness" by Minami. Not quite as insane as Ado's voice, but still very powerful and filled with emotion :)

You should check out a band Dead By April, I've loved them for a while but not well known unfortunately. The song Wasteland is a good start. Their music is kind of spacy & theatrical as I like to describe it. I just love that you're just into so many different types of music. I put my Dad on to your channel, he used to sing when he was a kid & I do now. Like father, like son 😂

I love all the Ado content. You should definitely check out the band Hanabie. Their main vocalist Yukina has such crazy range and control between her screams and high pitch kawaii vocals. I'd love to see a breakdown of their studio and live songs.
When you listen to her songs from the One Piece movie the Fleeting Lullaby you will hear the same Ado from this performance and yes she will surprise you every damn time I ain't gonna deny that

So about the one scream with the tuning in this video (towards the end), she posted a YT short called “Ready for my show?” with the raw scream, and it was perfect already imo ❤️ Great video as always! I just wanted to share this for you to hear it!

Im more curious how does she breathe when she dances and hitting those notes and changing registers. I'm tempted to believe she has another valve in her neck for air intake.
You should really take a look at her live performance of DIGNITY on her Mars tour (same concert). The part where she goes intentionally "off key" in the original is replaced by an insane whistle note in the live performance. Not going to lie but I feel like her live performance was even more amazing than the original already was!
