- I’m painting a Master Study from John Singer Sargent, called Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose. I’ll be creating this Master Study by using my van Gogh Oil paint. John Singer Sargent is one of my favorite painters, and especially this magical painting has caught my eye for a very long time. Creating Master studies is very important in my journey to become a better artist. It was very interesting to recreate a painting that was originally made in a moment of twilight. Because I want to create this study from a picture in a book, I will make a small version of the original painting. I’ll also take you with me to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, where you can see famous artwork from Vincent van Gogh, Johannes Vermeer and Rembrandt van Rijn.
I hope you"ll enjoy my video. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment down below and of course like & subscribe if you want to see more.
❤️ Love,
Simone

Absolutely loved this! Love your channel too! Looking forward to seeing more videos!
Beautiful study of the painting, my granddaughters are called Lily and Rose, I always think of them when I see this painting.
This is my favourite painting! It just bring some kind of warm nostalgic feeling in me whenever I look at it
It’s also my favourite painting. To me it is the story behind it and the effect the twilight has on the colours of the lanterns.
Thanks for sharing your experience! I was wondering if he did not do any underpainting .
Love the museum tour snd your beautiful painting. Great learning inspiration from Richmond, VA
Yes, it's the best to take a long break period, even for days, to then finish a project properly.
