I chose the Neo as a selfie drone, and it's perfect for that. I have the RC controller, too, and I can get the footage I need and be happy with it. If I'm going to capture anything other than the preset modes on the Neo, I'd rather use the Mini because it's a stronger and much more quiet drone.
Yep, I've been working on a clip to post this weekend. This feature wasn't out when I posted this clip and the new vertical mode is great but it's more of a manipulation of the 16:9 video, cropped to a 9:16 format. Still, it's amazing if you're posting clips to social media that uses that format. Thanks for the post.
I love the little Neo !! I can't wait to buy one. best part about it is that it is not pre equipped with what's it called... the thing that tells everyone where the pilot location is. Remote ID, So if someone is super angry I'm flying, they can't come find me and beat me up. All the other mini drones have that installed and always turned on, and there is no way to turn it off. I do not feel safe at all flying a drone knowing that everyone can know right where I'm at. There are a fair amount of people that get very pissed when they see a drone.
My mini 2 batteries were li-po, and I had to keep them charged to like 62% all the time so they wouldn't get damaged, it was a bit of work, but well worth it to keep the batteries from blowing up like ballons. thanks to info I learned on your channel. are these batteries the same way ? if not, is it safe to store them fully charged all the time ? because that would be another reason to get this drone.
Not sure what you are on about there. All DJI drone batteries are smart batteries they are a lot easier to manage than the batteries the fpv hobbyist use.
Yes, as long as you have decent lighting you can fly indoors anywhere in your home. The drone uses TOF sensors on the bottom to keep it stable indoors and they need to clearly see the "floor". So if you're flying indoors, make sure to keep the lights on and you'll be fine.
It only follows a face? Isn't it supposed to follow behind you? Because there it would be able to see your face. And it wouldn't follow you if you were riding a bike?
Where do you recommend we purchase this drone from ? Is there a trustworthy website that handles them with care ? not rip us off selling some re furbished unit as new, or other tricks ?? Maybe buying it straight form DJI's website is the best ? I would love some advise.
Yes directly from DJI or Amazon. Rick has links in the description. It costs you the same but Rick gets a small cut & it enables him to keep buying those shirts.
I hope DJI will update the firmware to allow fpv flight with the rc 2 you have in your video. The goggles 3 do not recognize that controller right now.
Me too. Right now the RC-N2 / RC-N3 controllers work but not the RC-2 with the goggles. Normally I'm using the Hand-held with the goggles so it's not an issue for me but it would be nice. I'm still impressed they were able to expand the controllers that work with the Neo through Firmware.
Actually, my friend you were kind of right but you’re a little bit wrong. It is four drones and one you may fly it solo without any remote you may fly with your cell phone. You may fly with a remote or it could be an FPV so they’re actually four in one brother
Great video rick If I want just fly around the oval which setting to press on the drone ? On dji drones to start it up do you push down on both sticks ? Thanks Glen Australia 🇦🇺
Dont press that button. You would need to control it from your phone or with a controller. A few ways to start it but yes down & in would get you going. I am guessing you are from NSW or QLD?
Your vids are always top notch!
Good video sir! I'm still learning to fly, love this drone it's so forgiving! Makes me more confident when I take out my mini 4 Pro.
They are all forgiving which is great your grandma should be able to fly the mini 4 pro

You're really informative video Rick, I think a lot of people find this video helpful. Take care 👍
Great tips, especially the battery/firmware one. Thanks.
Great video 👍🏻
I'm finally getting mine this week. The waiting is over
great vid there Rick
Well, as of the new update that just came out you’re now able to do vertical video👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾💯

Good information
Well said pal

I always suggest to people in my self defence class that want extra practice to fly a drone with remote id

I love it dji never disapoints
Approximately how long does it take to charge the battery when charging it in the drone?
You can also use it with the goggles 3 and fpv rc3 controller.
yes he mentioned that
Can I fly indoors on a second floor?
Yes, as long as you have decent lighting you can fly indoors anywhere in your home. The drone uses TOF sensors on the bottom to keep it stable indoors and they need to clearly see the "floor". So if you're flying indoors, make sure to keep the lights on and you'll be fine.
@Dronevalley thanks for the quick reply I'm already watching your next video
@@MrJojo2go I really appreciate the support!
What is the best way to update the neo?
Connect it to your computer
It only follows a face? Isn't it supposed to follow behind you? Because there it would be able to see your face. And it wouldn't follow you if you were riding a bike?
It can follow u even when you are walking away /ur back facing the drone . I've seen videos of that here in youtube
Neo could actually see below vertically when using the RC2 controller.

It can follow a car, but you need to use a controller and select the object by drawing around the object on the screen controller
It shoots vertical now

So the rc-n2 does work with the goggles 3 and neo?
It's not going to happen as the Neo uses 04 Ocusync, and the older controllers use 03 Ocusync.

🎉
Just sucks that it works with every dji controller except for the rc pro
Great video rick
