Thanks for doing this, Rick. So very many people exclusively do unboxings (especially of technology items) and all the excitement that goes along with it, then drop it as they move on to the next big thing. That's all well and good, but (especially with technology) first impressions rarely give the full story that a person needs before buying. Now in this case, I already have the Neo - it was a no-brainer - but I'll bet there are others out there who are looking for "x-months of use" reviews where the details are known and the bugs have come out of the woodwork. I appreciate you and all you do. A very merry Christmas to you and your family, RIck.
I appreciate the post Dennis and I'm still discovering things about the Neo and always want to pass those along to folks. I'll keep reviewing this type of gear on the channel and have some big plans for 2025 so be sure to stay tuned.
@@mikedesilets3324 The Neo is a great starter drone and you'll have a lot of fun flying it. A slightly larger drone is the Mini 4K, which handles the wind better and is a little more stable and expensive. Both of them are amazing and great choices for your first drone.
What I like about your video is that you can talk at a very fast pace non-stop, yet still get to each point precisely. It's really hard to do! Were you born with this skill, or did you have to practice? It’s just amazing to see someone do this in front of the camera-no hesitation, no pauses, clear pronunciation, and fluent delivery.
I have found, that I been only able to achieve, 2300 feet distance witj my Neo and the N3 RC. Can you achieve better range with the RC 2? I have seen people get better range with that controller. But, I don't want to invest the money in one if is only going to get me minimal results.
It would need a firmware update from DJI and they don't always update everything to work with everything else. Also, the Neo uses the latest O4 transmission tech and the Motion 2 is slightly older with O2/O3.
It’s low light ability and stability is this drones biggest weakness. Flying indoors with any other light than super bright renders the drone useless,, that’s the drones biggest flaw,, hope they could improve that,,, also tried to use the drone to take a family photo at thanks giving. The quality of that type of Image and use of light is literally the worst I’ve ever taken with any drone, and I have many,, other functions of this drone are great… but those few issues are kinda big ones.
Thanks for the feedback, I agree that the low light performance isn't the best. With normal (outdoor use) it's been great for me and a perfect "trainer" drone to use for improving your flying.
Warning Neo owners! Do Not fly in very low light with Motion controller! Programming issue of some sort. Drones will go completely out of control and you may lose it if you’re outdoors. I’m pretty sure they all do it.
Nope, never sold a drone and I'm just a guy that loves flying and is really interested in understanding the benefits of the technology. Thanks for the post!

Yes, I am one of those, looking for longer terms of use, as I am shopping for my 1st drone.

Yes, it's such a versatile little drone. Thank you for the synopsis Rick!

Thank you Drone Valley. :)
Why wouldn’t the motion 2 work?

not sure why my sound on the video is so low...volume full on laptop.....video full...but i can barely hear you..weird
