- March 8 marks International Women's Day around the world, seeking to end gender discrimination, violence and abuse. We start the show by looking at the day's roots in socialism, and what it means for the movement for reproductive justice in the United States. Our guest is Nancy Krieger, renowned professor of social epidemiology at Harvard University's School of Public Health and director of the Interdisciplinary Concentration on Women, Gender, and Health. She's also co-founder and chair of the Spirit of 1848 Caucus in the American Public Health Association, which links social justice and public health. International Women's Day has always been a struggle for "the conditions in which people can thrive," says Krieger.

I am sick of it
I m woman and I m for equal rights of women and men - globaly speaking, rights to work, to education, to court, to politics, to access to culture, And I m pro-choice in the topic of abortion - which for me means that woman as an individual should have her own choice in the topic without the influence of ane of both sides of this ideological conflict. Only the consciousness of woman must matter in this topic. And maybe also her man who should be helpful to her. They should be able to talk it over. Becouse every case can be different. Of course I mean a situations when there is no particular, medical needs to have abortion. In the case of medical needs to have it - like danger to woman's health and life - it should be legal of course. Nevertless the "reproductive rights" seem to be suspiciously in tune with "depopulation ideas".
But if the Man has to talk with her about it then he should have a say in the choice, because that Man was probably the reason the Woman had baby happened in the first place.
