WET Design (the company who built the fountain) still operates till this day. The Oarsmen or Dancing Nozzles are built from a different company. That company is the company that went bankrupt mentioned in the video.
My father was one of the original engineers that did the blue print electrical design for pumps and lighting, it was his company and Wet Design. At the time the technology that does the sync to music was revolutionary (c1996). I totally forgot about Wet Designs. I remember him mentioning it. My father has since passed away.
@@xuiuobind2712 Not yet, the current one is using Poly Dragons LED Light and the Halogen lights but only the Halogen Lights only left on the Oarsmen and maybe next year the conversion to the LED Lights may completed
The reason they stuck with white was to look elegant. Steve Wynn wanted the show to be very different from the flashing colors all the other casinos used to attract people.
Not to bright are you? Its reclaimed/ recycled. As the previous poster stated do some research first before making a comment you obviously know nothing about!
Not at all. The water also doesn't come from "treated grey water" as is often claimed, but from an on-site well drilled to supply the former Dunes hotel's golf course. The fountains draw far less water from the well than did the golf course.
@@aintbroke6988 And that water comes from where? lol If I take it from other places, such as people's homes, and they get it from Lake Mead then it's still from Lake Mead and the amount doesn't change.
@@shyridelimir427 All the fountains' water is from a well drilled to water the former golf course. That's only the fountains' supply, not the entire hotel. Even with loss from evaporation and drift, the fountains use much less water than the golf course used.
all 3 of your comments are just the stupidest things I’ve ever did done heard before … what do you think Vegas is, they copy everything, including London Eye, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Space Needle, Pyramids & others, that’s what Vegas does, that’s what makes Vegas what it is! 😕

It is really cool to see behind the scenes at the Bellagio Fountains. The company that built the fountain (WET Design) is still in business today.
@@Vanced01 they meant the company who built the oarsmen.
Pretty sure WET (or WET Design) that built the Bellagio fountains is still in business contrary to what was reported in the story.
1:56 i think it's supposed to be the company who made the oarsmen (sarcos robotics)
Very interesting story! Thanks for sharing this.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a big fella submerged with scuba gear lol
People in so-cal be like 👁👄👁
I'd love for just one of these local news specials on the fountains to actually not have inaccurate information and nonsensical writing.
Cool!
More like a pond. Gauge that vs mead and Powell then I guess it’s a lake lol
wow..amazing
“From metal to stainless steel” umm what do you think stainless steel is?
Vibranium
They should update the fountains. Use color light
Bellagio fountain is equipped with RGB led lights and halogen lights.

no, we don’t need more rainbows 🌈 ! 😕
I heard that the water in the fountains has the Lamda variant in it...
LOL
I heard your brain has water in it
Colorado River water that's what runs it. What's worth more? A fountain, or crops in the southwest?
100% incorrect. It has its own water source. Do more research before spouting off...

All the fountains' water is from an on-site well. Not all the hotel's water, just the "lake."
the crops in the southwest are worth more, but get your facts straight next time! 😕
The water from Lake Mead. lmao
Treated grey water

I thought that there was
Drought and Water 💦
Shortages in the West?
Lmao they reuse the same water
As said above, they reuse the same water and that water is eternal and never evaporates and never needs replacing.
Yes
Recycled treated from showers n bathrooms

50th comment and 178th like
The water actually comes from UFO tech and area 51
I've heard the water is changed twice a year and comes from run off from the pig farm
They totally stole this from The Disneyland hotel there it was called The Dancing Waters and it was a hell of alot better

That's recycled water from showers etc.
It is not, it's well water. No idea where that rumor began.
