Cant say I do not envy Londoners after this video - I went out to ride the biggest local park each day in the last 7 days and met only one other skater for the whole week. Lots of love for all skaters all around the globe!
I'm from Hull and I've only ever seen 2 other adults skating, People look at me like I'm a freak and they actually shout abuse. In London? Nobody bats an eyelid. 🤣
Had such a blast skating with you Bill. Glad you could be part of what we in London are experiencing right now. What a time and place to be on wheels 🙌
I agree .. I watched so many times .. and listen when skating .. gets me happy about the in-line skate culture and enjoying life. Accompanied me on my 3 week skate crash course before berlin skate marathon this weekend.. was awesome.. 2hrs25min 😅 Just made the cut.
Bill never underestimate your impact, you're an absolute icon, especially in the UK! Your videos convinced me early last year to finally take the plunge and get my own after being stuck to ice for so long
I ice skated from the age of 8 but not very often over the last 30 or so years, started inline skating 2019 in London whilst working there at the age of 54. One of the best moves I ever made. I'll never go on ice again, There's so much more to this. The tutorial videos etc ( Bill's included ) were a massive help and still are.
Wow. Such a fantastic experience! Bill you’ve killed it, man. Thanks so much for talking highly about PSP. It’s a pleasure and honour to have an opportunity supporting you! Happy Holidays and lots of fun in 2022 to you and your followers from the PSP team :)
Thanks so much Konstantin. We did some huge thing this year!! It's been an honour to rep such a dynamic and exciting company. Can't wait to play in your ski simulator!!!
I'll have to go to London to and experience it! There is also fantastic group skates in Paris and Brussels. If you need some new material, come and visit us. 😉
Thanks for the shout out to fellow (skateasaurus) goofballs! 😝 This video was epic and totally worth the wait! You portrayed the look and feel of the group skates and London perfectly and we were honoured to have you visit and look forward to the next time you are back 😀
Very fun!! Excellent video, saludos from a 66yr old ice skater, now retired and skating on the hard costa rica!! Skate for life!! In these challenging times. What better challenge than inline skating!!! Thanks for your inspiration 🙏
Very high quality documentary that conveys the scale of these events outstandingly. My friends who know I skate a lot were surprised by the number of people when they saw this. I was quite happy to see myself not once but six times in this movie too :)
It is not often I spend 45 mins on youtube being totally glued to a video, it was captivating, thank you for creating a brilliant inline documentary. I occasionally did the London Wednesday Night Skate and commuted for years almost daily to work on blades around London. The confidence to do that only came after learning your powerslide from watching your videos and knowing I could build up speed and then stop so quickly. Thanks!
I did the London group skate 20 years ago this coming February , so it was mostly hardcore people as it was (almost) freezing. The skate was unpleasant, did not talk to anyone, pace was too fast for my wife. She eventually crashed heavily on her hip when transferring from street to raise alleyway at speed. Despite being seen by people in the group, the group did not stop and we were left not knowing where the heck we were. We eventually took a taxi back to the hotel, as she was unable to skate. That was then... It appears to have improved.
A sheer delight to watch - beautifully edited and sharp, amusing commentary as ever. Your generous spirit and inclusivity is helping to propel this roll-aissance! Hope you’ll visit again soon!
Makes me so grateful to live here! Tbh I’ve always thought the pavements in London are a little grim, but you’ve made me appreciate how many great street spots we have. I mostly skate aggressive, but still, I can’t believe I’ve never done the Friday night skate before, definitely a New Years resolution for me. Big love Bill ❤️
The rain scene gave me anxiety since I dislocated my shoulder recently for the second time in the same stretch of road. Skated in the rain since then and if you’re careful it’s OK. I recommend the girl that was doing stairs get tortoise pads. Not sure if they are sold in the UK but very good quality hip, leg and butt protector. You can add your own foam for even more protection
I just messed up my right shoulder recently also. Probably tore something. Was ripping along and just landed a jump wrong and pitched forward right onto it. And then a couple of days later I did the same thing, trying to show off in front of some people and something happened with the landing again. Went onto the grass but then I fell on the same shoulder again because I hit a divot or something in the grass. It's been at least 3 weeks and it's still bothering me...guess it's time to have it looked at. I'm all helmeted and padded up and even wear crash pants but nothing on the shoulder. Never thought I needed something on that body part. Figures.
Thank you. Just wonderful👍👍👍👏👏👏. I've done a couple of Sunday Strolls but I'm totally pumped up now to get back down to London and do more in 2022, and take in some lessons there too.
This video felt like a Netflix action flick with some great cinematography and cool music to go with the skate flow. Been having a blast with my Ferrari GTB skates from Pro Skatersplace too. Worth the wait to watch and enjoyed it very much!!
Nicely does it Bill! , awesome diary of your skate trip. I’m back on blades (after 17years ) since 1st pandemic lockdown in Uk, and getting my full confidence back slowly. Been skating between Cardiff 🏴 & London , but now a permanent resident in central London, so just getting to grips with these roads and side streets even more …& itching to join the flow meet ups asap. Thanks for the inspiration ☮️ stay safe and well sir.
Bill, thanks for making these videos… I watched the entire thing. I was in a rut for the first half of 2021, but watching your videos led me to discover my passion for rollerblading. I’m working on the power stop and I’m super excited about progressing it. All the best in the new year, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! 🤙🏼
I just bought a pair of blades and started rolling for the first time in 15 years. Some of it came back quick. I need more practice in other areas. But seeing these videos gets me so stoked to know the community is stronger than ever. This video was very well done. You gained a new fan today. Maybe I’ll see you out on the streets one day too. Cheers!
Amazing how people walking by can see somebody like Bill Stoppard skate like that, do those hockey stops and all the rest of it and they don't even seem remotely impressed. I guess they just have no clue how much dedication, hard work and "cojones" it takes to get to that level. Maybe he just makes it look too easy. If he fell I'm sure they would pay attention, though.
This is super awesome. Really enjoying the video! I just started rollerblading had a bad fall where I can't walk, but I can't wait to get back in my boots again and try again! One day, I want to skate in London with everyone. Seeing videos like this gives me confidence.
Just bought my first pair of skates since I was a young teen (now nearly 34) just watching someone enjoy life as much as you are in these videos has inspired me to get out and do the same! Thanks man.
I’ve been looking forward to your London video Bill and it was a great edit! So pleased you enjoyed your time here, you really captured the vibe of the street skates! The marshals & pack skaters are the friendliest bunch of people I’ve ever met. Take care, hope your foot is mended now 👍🏼
Bill I just had the same thing as you... Cellulitis from my skates... Except mine had an abscess I was able to drain so no hospital or antibiotics. The cyst came out the other day and now it's healing up nicely. Haven't been able to skate 2 or 3 weeks now.. Hope to skate again soon, I just recently set up my twister 110mm skates....
Ive been watching your channel since 2011 or 2012. I started playing ice hockey and dabbled in roller skating because of you because you inspired me to get back out there and try roller skating on the street. Anyway Im so happy your channel has grown and garnered the much deserved attention. ❤
Went to London 5 years ago with my ex very last minute and we could stay over at the place of a dear friend. I thought let's bring our skates this time because why not. And so we stumbled upon the Sunday stroll which was such an amazing experience. Hope to be back in London in a few months, will definitely bring a pair of skates again :)
this is exactly what i needed to get back to skating the streets, im 31 and this really really helped, i thought i was too old and washed up, weak to do it, however you completely changed me and I THANK YOU legend!
Next time you're in London, I recommend you join one of our 'unofficial' skates i.e. the unmarshalled skates we organise via the See You Next Tuesday Facebook group. A very different experience to the marshalled skate, we can go places the bigger skates can't go, and it's faster too!
Thank you for this incredibly inspirational video! Great content, capturing all the emotions and memorial moments one would expect to experience on a city skate in a foreign country! Wonderful to see the comradery of the globe skate community!
Hey! I like all this footage a lot, the canal bits in london do definitely force you to slow down and take in the scenery as you say. I love them though because you can get from one end of the city to the other surrounded by swans and ducks instead of cars. I love all these quirky bits in london, it very nice to see it all compiled into this colorful video... LOVE SKATING!!
Wow, this vid had a little taste of everything skate. Exciting and fun felt like I was right there with them. My favorite shot was the camera angle over the canal water, very fun and a little anxiety producing- bravo
The Mall (the road outside Buckingham Palace where the policeman stopped him) is generally closed to traffic on Sundays. It's a lovely wide road next to teh park with plenty of space to skate. They do have regal / military parades which can close sections of it. They are normally short - check times of these.
Watching this was pure torture on two levels, i had an operation on my spine on the 16th Dec and cant skate and dont know when i will be capable again plus i was born and raised in London but been living 90 miles outside of it for 11 years and not been back since i left, this made me soooo homesick as well as pining for skating!
i just bought my first pair of skates in 15 years and skated today. promptly fell but watching your video makes me want to keep trying to join a group skate like this!
Wow! Awesome video... watched all the way through... nice to see you travel... and very interesting to meet people that watch your channel from all over the world...Memories you won't forget... also a very long video... must of been a lot of footage to-go through and edit... 😯😊 ten thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Your best and one of the best inline skate videos ever, For some reason I liked the part when there was just 4 of you together the most. I also enjoyed it a lot probably because I learned to skate in London in the summers of 2019 and 2020, It was sink or swim. I can't imagine there being anywhere better in the world for it.

I'm a regular on the London Street Skates; last week's Halloween Fancy Dress Skate was 350 of us!
@@DanSanders12 where could i find this group if i’m ever interested on joining? 😅
Had such a blast skating with you Bill. Glad you could be part of what we in London are experiencing right now. What a time and place to be on wheels 🙌
You lift that scene up so much Stephen. I loved having you as a major star of the vid. I got lucky with you and Ila!
I can't help but think of all the bystanders seeing all the skaters fly by, and some getting FOMO and heading straight to the skate shop...
This is more than a video...it's a documentary worthy of Nat Geo or the Travel channel.
Cliff! Thank you so much; those are high standards!!
Well said, be awesome to see on there !
I agree .. I watched so many times .. and listen when skating .. gets me happy about the in-line skate culture and enjoying life.
Accompanied me on my 3 week skate crash course before berlin skate marathon this weekend.. was awesome.. 2hrs25min 😅 Just made the cut.
I seriously got chills! This film is fantastic, such a piece of art✌️
The chills?! That's a TH-cam academy award!!!! Thank you for starring...and the compliment!
Very cool views. I like the different angles filmed. I’ve never been to London before, but this gave me a glimpse of it.
Bill never underestimate your impact, you're an absolute icon, especially in the UK! Your videos convinced me early last year to finally take the plunge and get my own after being stuck to ice for so long

Big thanks Benjamin. Love hearing an ice skater is hitting the inline too!
You are lucky people can feel happiness and togetherness on wheels, not everyone can have beautiful and amazing experience like you.
I'll have to go to London to and experience it! There is also fantastic group skates in Paris and Brussels. If you need some new material, come and visit us. 😉
It is right!? Grew up street skating London. It’s great. Welcome and enjoy! ❤️
Nothing for making one feel inferior like watching Bill do backwards crossovers on friggin cobblestones.
Thanks for the shout out to fellow (skateasaurus) goofballs! 😝 This video was epic and totally worth the wait! You portrayed the look and feel of the group skates and London perfectly and we were honoured to have you visit and look forward to the next time you are back 😀
Loved meeting you guys!! Thanks so much for being such a nice part of that great welcome!!
Very fun!! Excellent video, saludos from a 66yr old ice skater, now retired and skating on the hard costa rica!! Skate for life!! In these challenging times.
What better challenge than inline skating!!!
Thanks for your inspiration 🙏

A group skate with Bill Stoppard must be epic. The only way it could get cooler is if he set the playlist for the night--I'm loving that house track!

Sounds like y’all just suck and your wife held you back from a good time.
A sheer delight to watch - beautifully edited and sharp, amusing commentary as ever. Your generous spirit and inclusivity is helping to propel this roll-aissance! Hope you’ll visit again soon!
Sheri! Thank You! That is a super dope review and super kind compliment!!
Makes me so grateful to live here! Tbh I’ve always thought the pavements in London are a little grim, but you’ve made me appreciate how many great street spots we have. The Wednesday nights are a good place to start, as they are a bit more relaxed, thoguh still faster than the Sunday Stroll.
This was utterly captivating. Best thing I've seen for a while. Hits the feels ❤️
Thanks so much Stu!!!

😊❤❤
You should have done a collaboration with NIicola Torelli while you were there. He's an incredible skater.
He sure is, wish he'd do more videos.
Was a fantastic Friday night skate, glad you could make it!
Now that's some skate culture... glad to see such a big following...

During the 90s the entirety of Paris would get their blades on and take over every Sunday, like MILLIONS
It makes me very proud to see you skate so many familiar places in our city, making them that little bit more amazing in the process.
This video felt like a Netflix action flick with some great cinematography and cool music to go with the skate flow. Been having a blast with my Ferrari GTB skates from Pro Skatersplace too. Worth the wait to watch and enjoyed it very much!!
Dan, thanks so much for the killer props. I hope you're loving the GTB's as much as I am! Stay low bud!

Excellent video. Authentic narrative, awesome shots, super interesting profiles, and varied skating. I enjoyed it greatly.

This is SUPER COOL 🥰. I'm a Beginner and watching so many Skaters on street motivates me to pickup my skates every single day 🤘.
Well, that was last year.
I'm intrigued to see what this year gonna bring.
This was an amazing experiential doc! Loved it. Thanks for taking the time to create it and share!

In it, 10/10. Wish I'd said hello when I was there on the Sunday Stroll!

Awesome documentary, loved the super pack section
Amazed. Wow… your content is amazing and so inspiring. It’s time for me to dust off my skates and get back in the game. Thank you, Bill.

The difference between the Quad skate nights and in-line are so interesting to me. London, what a girl.
Super cool! Great for the rollerblading community~
God damn beautiful work Bill.
Love the positive energy of this video. Big love from Scotland
Thanks for taking us through your journey picking new skates! You're a huge reason I got into urban skating 🤙
The Mall (the road outside Buckingham Palace where the policeman stopped him) is generally closed to traffic on Sundays. It's a lovely wide road next to teh park with plenty of space to skate. They do have regal / military parades which can close sections of it. They are normally short - check times of these.
Artistic documentary Bill! By the way, how’s the healing going?
Watching this was pure torture on two levels, i had an operation on my spine on the 16th Dec and cant skate and dont know when i will be capable again plus i was born and raised in London but been living 90 miles outside of it for 11 years and not been back since i left, this made me soooo homesick as well as pining for skating!
Amazing camera work as always bill

Excellent skate documentary Bill. Thank you for sharing this great content.
My god this is a work of art.
Video of the year, top job mate
Your best and one of the best inline skate videos ever, For some reason I liked the part when there was just 4 of you together the most. I also enjoyed it a lot probably because I learned to skate in London in the summers of 2019 and 2020, It was sink or swim. I can't imagine there being anywhere better in the world for it.
