He washes his Doritos, and I washed two bags of popcorn, a load of grapes, a bag of apples, several cans and jars, all in a sink of water with disinfecting dish detergent. That is not being paranoid, it's being careful. Should I care what my neighbor washes from the store? It's a personal choice. Better safe than sorry. I do the same with deliveries. If I can store it in the back room for a few days, fine. If not, it gets washed right now.
I think spraying them with rubbing alcohol would be best because wouldn’t washing it also causes you to break the chips inside? It seems more work than to just douse in high alcohol content.

I will keep them for pet food, etc. but they only seem to have weird stuff now, and refried beans. Canned veggies are all out. I need fresh stuff, so I will go to my local health food store for that, I guess.
I planted 2 kinds of squash and green beans so far. Will plant herbs as well and maybe some cherry tomatoes. I only have a small patch and plant flowers to attract butterflies & bees too.

Really? Frozen veggies, chicken, some canned goods are hard to find near me. I shop for 2-3 weeks so I don't have to go out for 14 days. I don't buy that much as it's only me. I am lucky we have a farmer's market 2 miles away so I can get lots of cheap produce, cheese, meat and bread there.
I live in a small northeastern metro area and currently - shopping isn’t an issue. Local stores are only allowing 50-70 shoppers in the store at a time (depending stores square footage). I went this morning at 7AM (only 3 people in front of me). Store was fully stocked: plenty of meat, dairy and other items. Stores are limiting certain items like meat and dairy products to 2 per shopper, as well as paper towels and toilet paper. I’ve yet to come home without anything on my list. I feel badly for folks in large cities who have to line up for hours just to get in the store and face shortages.
What they should do is. not let people without a mask in the stores.I am from New York City Brooklyn New York and I see a lot of people without mask when they start opening business again people are going to start getting infected again and this is going to be a chaos
bennybtheman I leve the tip under the front door carpet and I am lucky to have a little courtyard and small Schafer fountain in the middle of the courtyard so I wait until the person leaves and the with gloves I saltar cleaning the groceries outside leve the from door open and in a chair I put the clean groceries while someone takes them inside the kitchen and before. I enter the house I go and throw away the gloves, my goodness ! Is a hassle but you never know. Blessings to all❤️
I have filled up my cart online, but there were no slots for so long, and items unavailable are taken out of your cart automatically, so then I had to add more things each time. I finally gave up. This was for Amazon Fresh/Whole Foods.

When I get box deliveries I open the box on the porch throw the box away and then bring the things in and put them on a designated table. Idon’t like doing it but I don’t want to wash my hands every 5 seconds and I can’t remember to keep my hands off my face.

That's not my experience. I find in groups we get dumber. For every person added to a crowd the group as a whole drops an IQ point. If that's not a proven statistic it should be!
People also do not get mad because our store Corp has put in a temporary non return policy!! People ask why??!! We constantly have to tell them that unless it is expired food or meat and produce that is bad we will NOT accept your returns!! Then they ask for how long?? We do not have the answers!! CBS still has newscasters & anchors who have the news casters's attitudes & characters & dignities more compared to other channels ! They are more like commentators, or worse gossipers ! I believe it was the woman interviewer and I agree whole heartedly. She did it at least twice. The first time I thought she was calling into question what the other lady said about not bringing your own bags. There was like an uncomfortable pause punctuated by her humm. The second time the guy picked up the reigns right away so no pregnant pause but yeah. She sucks at interviewing. I had a sister in law who would call me, ask me what I was doing and then sit there silent till I picked up the conversation. We lived next door to one another so we never just chatted on the phone still, that was her MO. I would have to drag what she wanted out of her. That's what this reminded me of on the annoying scale. The lady that was being interviewed isn't s professional so her faux pas can be forgiven.

I feel like I'm in the middle of an episode of twilight zone or invasion of the body snatchers every time I go grocery shopping now. Why you ask because not only are we hurting one way in one way out but now we're given arrows on the ground in the aisles to tell us which direction we're allowed to go We're given dots on the floor at the cash register to tell us where to stand. This is not the country that I grew up in This is a country filled with fear. Here's my question have we not lived fulfilled enough lives to not fear dying? Are we truly hollow and afraid enough to allow fear to destroy our ability to live our lives? I can't live that way I won't live that way. let's contemplate this In 8 months we're going to have a whole new crop of children okay and those kids will not know what it's like at birth to be held Why Because their mother will have to pay to be able to have skin to skin contact So That baby will go through a battery of tests before it's even had a hug. Including it'll be tested for the Corona virus. We really need to rethink what we're doing to our generations to come What happens when parents don't hug their kids because they're afraid of catching something seriously we're there What does that do emotionally to children?

Try the Mexican grocery stores. Less people, cheaper prices, no loyalty cards for discounts. The one I go to has TP and paper napkins.

LAST MONTH THERE FOOD SHOPPING WAS DIFFERENT THAN THIS MONTH & THEY WENT A COUPLE DAYS AGO THE SAME FOOD LIST THEY BROUGHT BEFORE, THIS TIME THEY PAID MORE A 300.00 DOLLARS WENT TO A ALMOST 600.00 DOLLARS, FOR THE SAME FOOD LIST THAT THEY PURCHASE LAST MONTH.
WE DON'T HAVE MANY PLACES TO REACH OUT & HAVE SOME ONE LOOK OUT FOR US.
I SEE ON TV PEOPLE DROOPING FOOD ON PEOPLES HOME, YOU DON'T SEE THAT IN HUNTS POINT , SO. BLVD. & OTHERS PLACES FROM THIS AREA. EVEN IF YOU CALL THE NEWS TO REPORT EVEN THEM DON'T GIVE A DAMM ABOUT US. THEY DON'T CARE TO REACH OUT TO OUR NEEDS. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU NEWS WORKERS !!!

That's not my experience. I find in groups we get dumber. For every person added to a crowd the group as a whole drops an IQ point. If that's not a proven statistic it should be!

I believe it was the woman interviewer and I agree whole heartedly. She did it at least twice. The first time I thought she was calling into question what the other lady said about not bringing your own bags. There was like an uncomfortable pause punctuated by her humm. The second time the guy picked up the reigns right away so no pregnant pause but yeah. She sucks at interviewing. I had a sister in law who would call me, ask me what I was doing and then sit there silent till I picked up the conversation. We lived next door to one another so we never just chatted on the phone still, that was her MO. I would have to drag what she wanted out of her. That's what this reminded me of on the annoying scale. The lady that was being interviewed isn't s professional so her faux pas can be forgiven.

I feel like I'm in the middle of an episode of twilight zone or invasion of the body snatchers every time I go grocery shopping now. Why you ask because not only are we hurting one way in one way out but now we're given arrows on the ground in the aisles to tell us which direction we're allowed to go We're given dots on the floor at the cash register to tell us where to stand. This is not the country that I grew up in This is a country filled with fear. Here's my question have we not lived fulfilled enough lives to not fear dying? Are we truly hollow and afraid enough to allow fear to destroy our ability to live our lives? I can't live that way I won't live that way. let's contemplate this In 8 months we're going to have a whole new crop of children okay and those kids will not know what it's like at birth to be held Why Because their mother will have to pay to be able to have skin to skin contact So That baby will go through a battery of tests before it's even had a hug. Including it'll be tested for the Corona virus. We really need to rethink what we're doing to our generations to come What happens when parents don't hug their kids because they're afraid of catching something seriously we're there What does that do emotionally to children?
