Not sure if Dutch reads the comments...But because of him, my wife and I know raise 2 pigs and 2 cows for some of our local churches. My wife and I, for quite some time, raise a cow, pig and 2 goats for our family. Then we were inspired by Dutch (Sean) to do a few more and donate them. We give to the churches. Because we know, they'll be responsible and ensure a family in need. Will get some meat. We give the pastor's and staff from the animals we raise. So we know our donation is going 100% to a family/person who's truly in need of it. Raising a few more animals is no big deal for us. We have 500+ acres. We also pay the processing fee for the donated animals. I like doing this, over giving money. Giving money, who knows how it's spent. But we all have to eat. The church we attend, in the summer, the kids can come by on weekends. And help my wife with the animals on the ranch. They're mostly playing and checking out the some cool animals we have. My wife is a veterinarian and I'm a surgeon. My wife and close friend started a animal sanctuary. And the sanctuary is certified with the State (TN). Hence TN Fish and Game/Wildlife Officers, will bring an animal to us. Four years ago, the State asked if we could take in a 4-6 week Mt. Lion (Dolly). Since my wife is a DVM and her clinic is on our property. We could provide for Dolly properly. We had a half acre enclosure, that we temp. made smaller. We ended up never using. Dolly would not be able to be release in the wild. Her Mom was killed (by accident) and Dolly would have way too much human contact. For her to be released and succeed in the wild. Initially, we were going to get her to health and get her to proper zoo. Which proved to be difficult. We we unable to find an appropriate zoo...e.g., Nashville Zoo. Hence we end up raising Dolly, with the help with our Doberman puppy who was only 3 months older. So we let Dolly shadow Abby. Abby is a regular house dog, who goes inside and outside as she wishes. When we lock up for the night. Abby is inside with us. Or if no one is home, Abby is inside, where we know she's safe, secure and in a controlled environment (heat/AC). When we left Dolly outside or separated from Abby. She would whine, cry you name it. So we elected to leave them together for companion sake. Four years later, both are best of friends. Dolly lives inside with us. Summer months, both prefer to stay outside on the back deck. Sort of guarding the area. If the go to the yard. It's a 3/4's acre, that's well fenced in. They'll come in around 4 AM and get on our bed. I'm usually leaving for work around 4:30am. S So for my long story, the church kids love being around Abby and Dolly. We also have 2 albino raccoons...very rare. However, day time, the raccoons are inside their shelter or in well shaded areas of their enclosure. We also have some kangaroos and wallaby's the kids love to play with. We ensure there's always an adult with the kids. As well as, the adult knows the animals well. Which are shy, mean, or very friendly. The kids are in safe hands. And we love having them. Sometimes the kids parents will stay on property. Other parents we know well and close friends, drop the kid(s) off. We always BBQ or having something to eat/drink for them. Anyone new, we like to know if any medical issues...just in case. So far never had a problem, Just fun summer days. Sorry for long posting. I just want to mention about how Dutch got us into raising some animals for people in need. But of all stories I can share. This is my favorite. Have a Blessed Day to ALL.
Don't forget to put sealer undercoat paint first onto the raw plaster board, this house I bought was a transportable house and the guy didn't use undercoat or the correct paint sealer first and i am constantly having trouble with the paint peeling, also remember to use bathroom and kitchen waterproof paint in the wet areas, sorry if it sounds like I'm telling you what to do but I'm only trying to help and to save you heart ache down the road, good luck
Consider using a finished panel for your manifold wall cover for easy access to that one area. Screw it on and it will be removable. Use sound board under it for the door width.
The house is looking good. Looks like things are moving right along. Hope pig's eye gets better. Glad you got the rain. Take care and stay safe out there. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
House is coming along nicely. It won't be long before you're moving in permanently. Can't wait to see it all finished. I know y'all will be so happy. GODS Blessings on your Family & Homestead 🙏🙏🌹🙏🙏🙏 Love 🌻 from NC 💜
Wow, painting is not far away. That gizmo they are using for the mudding looks as though it would save heaps of time. Hope you get some more rain. Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰
Looking really good y'all! I've been praying for rain for Oklahoma and Texas. So happy you got a little! Prayers that the pipe comes soon so you can get the masonry heater seasoned before it gets cold! Blessings, Texas Deb ❤️🙏
Howdy from Tenn. I really enjoying watching your all's video. I unfortunately didn't start til after the frame of the house was built. I can't wait to see what it looks like when y'all are done.God Bless y'all
Ya this has been a journey getting to all this sheetrock ~ that's a huge job all by itself! I'm really seeing it come to completion! Thanks for sharing with us ~ 🤗❤👍✌
The house looks Great! Can't wait to see the siding going up. I hope the pigs eye gets better. That was funny when Lilly went into the pigs pen and then quickly scooted back out. 🤣
Thankful you guys are coming along on the house. We used the Kreg system when building our cabinets. Loved it and was easy. May God bless. Blue Top Ranch. Hay we are currently on baby Kune Kune watch.
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the Lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals and getting your home taped for you can get back into your home
The mud and taping is really looking good, and with a crew it’s just a lot faster 😊! I’ve heard we are going to have a rough winter ❄️, so I’m glad you’re getting things ready! I’m curious about what paint colors Brandi and you all decided on 😊! Thank you for sharing and taking us along, take care and God Bless🤗💕!
Back to camping in the trailer. But getting the mudding, taping, and painting done will be nice. Do the floors and then move back in . Work on the finishing touches during the winter. You have a lovely home. Love watching it coming together.💖💖💖
9:31....that sure looks like a lot of wasted sheet rock!!! I was in construction in the early 70's and never did my rockers waste that much. I hope you have deep pockets!!!!
Did you get it on his eye? He just wouldn't stand still? Yeah we got rain in Iowa thru the night of the 11 & 12 some time my deck was wet when i got up this morning. Wed. The house is looking awesome. Sean yous, Brandi & the girls are hard workers it is looking awesome!! I admire you all for all you have done on your own & with Randy doing that heavy lifting. I will let you go have a good night & you got quite a bit done today. Take Care & i am excited with you, ✋🙏✝❤🤗
It really is starting to look more like a home inside, exciting times. Sorry if you've already mentioned this in previous videos, but I'm curious how planning permission works where you are. Can you put up any outbuildings you like without needing to ask for planning permission (you mentioned a garage)? Our UK planning regulations can be pretty strict.
Its really coming along!! The house we bought is starting to show seams, I think the builder that built ours didn't do taping in some places. So we are having to go back and repair. Big job for this old lady!! Blessings to you guys!!💕🐾🙏🕊🇺🇲
I just love how much gumption Lily has getting in there like she can herd that pig. Lol terriers. You may want to do floors next or paint because you may not want to move your things in then out again. While its out get ur done then the rest can done while living in it. Just a thought.
A lot of that stuff that I was seeing on your trailer and truck you could have donated that to somebody as they need to remodel to refinish their house or whatever it is needed of like e d d y family
Hi, Dutch & family! We built in 1996 and we couldn't move in until we got a CO (Certificate of Occupancy)....in Georgia. I know it varies probably from state to state. You haven't said much about inspections and code requirements. They (the county) were always coming out to inspect our house being built. The builder had to redo the stairs to the basement because they weren't built to code...not wide enough. Are you installing floodlights on each corner of the house? One of the best things we did. Can't believe how much has been accomplished since you started! Enjoyed watching how the pipes are installed in a slab. I have a slab now and always wondered how that was done. You are quite knowledgeable and don't give yourself the credit you deserve! I moved after my husband passed away and I have way too much room for just me...1,900 square feet, but you can't find a new 2 bedroom house unless you get a really old one or have one built. Tiny homes are not allowed here in my county. I have 4 bedrooms and only 3 of them are being used. I have a large sewing room, a doggie room where the printer is, a guest bedroom never used and my master bedroom. Y'all will be just fine with 3 bedrooms. I admire your plan for no more 30 year mortgage! My husband retired 3 months before our house was paid off. We were able to do that because our first house we bought in 1970 was paid off and we put a lot of money down on our new house. I'm so proud of y'all. By the way, what are the lyrics to the Keeping it Dutch song? I've not bene able to figure it out, lol!
Hey Sean, was watching a HAXMAN vid. He has a similar generator that was leaking gas all over the place. He was saying using the ethanol gas eats seals, corroded engines and causes major leaks. He recommended looking for any non ethanol gas or if not found, he had a method for cleaning up small amounts of gas. Kind of make sense.
Dutch and family, All these little inconveniences will be worth it in the end. You have done such a great job building this home for your family! Thank you for separating the mini horses food bins! I think you’ll find it solves some bickering between them. Thank you for another video! God bless.
I'm not sure what you're considering for the outside of the house but have you ever considered to use brick? I feel it would give you better insulation in summer against the heat. Also better insulation in winter against the cold. If not have you considered concrete boards like Hardie Board siding? I don't think it has to be painted as often and it more protection against fire. Especially since so much woodland is around your house. Just a thought. I grew up in a brick house and we always felt more safe in it during storms. Best wishes on being able to finish the house soon!
I’m so happy that your getting the mud, tape done then texture, paint, then you can be back in to feel more comfortable. It will take time but it’s going to be worth it. Don’t let people get to you (judging ) how your doing things you are going to do it how you want regardless how they feel. I enjoy your videos, I don’t feel like others do. Something you might consider is putting an. Overhangs on front of horse stalls. We did for ours and it was so nice to keep rain from going in.
Ya this has been a journey getting to all this sheetrock ~ that's a huge job all by itself! I'm really seeing it come to completion! Thanks for sharing with us ~ 🤗❤👍✌

Horse barn siding, tiny house siding, pump house siding and house siding...how many trees and days will all that take? (Not a tree hugger.)
Lol about the sheet rock comment, it's looking great looking forward your next video 👍
You have lots to still do so hopefully it will go fast. It's going to be very exciting when they finish.
Looking good guy!!! So good, to see the progress. Whoot Whoot

Oh my gosh! What a job you guys have done in a very short time. It's looking beautiful. God bless you guys

I know you guys will be glad. Moving into the house before the first snow storm hits !!

LOL! Love how Brandie patted the pigs butt! I love how things are coming along!!
I was hoping you could tell me what the orange spray is. And I wanted to know about your family in Florida. Well another day closer Dutch!!💜
It’s all moving in the right direction. Thanks. Great job. Chris from England.
A lot of that stuff that I was seeing on your trailer and truck you could have donated that to somebody as they need to remodel to refinish their house or whatever it is needed of like e d d y family
Very wasteful unfortunately.
That is why you pour stem walls and have a crawlspace. So you can access utilities under house.
I just got home here in Florida and it is 9:10 pm, the house is really going fast so glad you still have the camper.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You need to get both bathrooms completely finished so that you can have a place to bathe. You need to do that first.
Yea getting closer and closer. God bless

I could have used allot of those scapes- you should offer to people that can use it instead of taking to dump
You are throwing away alot of good useable material.... that's to bad
Yes a lot of people can use it
You could of messaged him ahead of time, and told him you'd come pick it up when it was time. Sean doesn't read minds. Not trying to be mean, but that's on you. Don't be negative.
Perhaps you should have emailed him and asked about them. This post just makes y'all look petty.
@@lindaschumacher6282 his property. His money.

You have to hire out for some things. My husbands a carpenter, he framed it up, he’s not in hvac or drywall, or an electrician
Your house will be so nice when you finally get done.
