    Hopfuly not a head gasket or complete head needed.
    To be replaced first is the radiator, water pump, viscous fan clutch, thermostat and temp sender.

    I have had the top plastic part of the radiator failing, it did split open for some 20cmts and the engine overheated. as happened to you, the temp gauge never climbed higher than middle. Did the Temp readout change after you changed the temp sender???

      I changed all those bits and it has been running like a train ever since.
      Are you sure your head gasket is toast?

      @@22rabbits thats the job , I'm not it has started to over heat changed the radiator and took the thermostat out, some times you could drive half an hour without it going over half way but last nite it went up 90 % of the way before I could pull in to let it cool down , its also over flowing into the expansion tank ,

      No oil in the water or misfire in the engine so I mite have a look at the water pump next

      @@nigelweldon6761 yeah check the pump first. Did you flush the system when you did the radiator? There's a plug near the oil filter which is for the blocks coolant channels.

      Mine was full of muck at it.
