Never experienced this before. This stick wouldn't react to low voltage normally so very strange it's reacting to this.

What would you suggest doing if all of the ball bearing fall out when taking it apart? Like how would you go about putting them back in?
Wow my dream build, what engine mounts and engine arms did you use ? Do you have your engine mated to the orignal 7.224 auto gearbox ?
Did you ever use that part an did it work having same issues
thanks ive this job to do soon
Anyone ever find out that part issue asking cause I’m in same boat 🇺🇸
Hey man quick question - what mounts did you end up using? I've seen people use the 606 and 603 mounts from the 124 but I'm wondering if the m103 ones could do
@@gruest101 yeah they all work. The block is the same. I think I used the m103 mounts on mine.
Hey, awesome build! Did you ever figure out the rpm and flywheel position sensors? I'm currently doing a similar swap and I'm trying to find info on those as well as controlling the 722.3 gearbox. Thanks brother
@@gruest101 yeah there is a video on my channel about the rpm sensor. As for the gearbox. It doesn't require much to work. In hindsight though I would go for a box with 5 or more gears. Currently I'm looking into the 8hp transmission
@@22rabbits thanks I'll take a look. I'm also interested in using an 8hp70 but getting a controller and adapter plate is a little out of my budget right now lol
What the??? Demo
Sound enough 👍🏻
Does the w210 om606 oil pan fit the w124 please
@@anassnouri6129 yeah it does
How’s things Niall? Do you think you’d be able to look at a diff for me? It’s a medium case 3.46 that I got an lsd put into but the backlash wasn’t set right and is whining. Not sure should I get a new gear set for it or not.
@@jamesmacmahon7836 Well James, to be honest I would think it's beyond my abilities at the moment to judge the wear on the gears. You can have a look yourself though with some contact paint. By opening the rear painting the pinon gear and rotating to see how well it transfers to the other gears.
Hi nail, my laguna has a faulty driver side headlight. The driver side xenon light is not working. I have tried changing the bulb and the ballast.. still not working.. do you know what would be the problem then? Thankyou
@@albinjoseph733 it's probably the control module. Check for voltage to that headlight ballast after the control module.
@@22rabbits where do i could locate the control module? Is that inside the headlight unit? Thanks for your reply
Hi i have flickering headlights on L3. I think that happened when i disconnected the battery (+ red wire). What you think that can cause this issue and do you have maybe a wiring diagram for the headlights somewhere
@@kirekrstev3234 do you sort the problem, I change the xenon bulb with led one and then the headlight flickering
Is this 8cm or 12cm housing?
Whay mounts did you use? Thanks Niall
Thanks for the video I can confirm the original om606 sensor doesnt work for rpm reading. Have you kept the turbo om606 flywheel?
@@david-zw9om yeah I have using the original flywheel for the past two years.
now we want 0-100 time😀
Very nice! I am 606 swapping my 300ce and air condition is absolutely required. Thanks for the videos!
No water in oil so no head gasket! Thermostat, water pump and two sensors you speak of?
Hi I’m chasing a heating issue! I’m just getting vehicle so learning about the vehicle! I noticed that small cooler just below ac condenser Radiator do you happen to know a part on that can’t seem to find ! What cooler is that
THE GLOVE IS WORTHLESS, MAN ! 😐
Hi Nail. I have similar problem. I have Laguna 3 Coupe (Xenon lights). My DRL (daytime running lights) suddenly won't turn on during the day. Sensor for day/night is working, because it turns on Xenon light (and also changes theme on navigation). Does this control module have any relay? Also, do you maybe know, which pin on control module is switching DRLs on and off? Thank you very much.
Sorry it's a long time ago. I don't remember much. But what I would say is relays won't be the type you can change out. Your best bet is to buy a unit used off eBay.
@@22rabbits Thank you for your answer. I can be pretty sure, that it is a faulty control unit right? Fuses are all good.

Great video
I happen to have the same diff😅, did you manage to take out the bearings for the ears/flanges (the part that connects to the half shafts)
Hi Niall, i have rust in the exact same spot on my 2.8. front wheel arch where the chassis mounts! Did you get it sorted? Im in Mayo btw, where are you based?
Yeah iv done a few rust spots since. Its currently in the shed after undersealing. Just waiting for reassembly.
Hi! Did you solve the problem? I have a vibration issue, replaced many parts and it's even worse now. There's play in the splines in mine as well.
Yeah it was the flex disc that looked good was actually messed up internally. Couldn't be seen easily. I'll be swapping two at a time in the future.
Can you please take that glove off 😂
How big is your turbo manifold??
It's the stock manifold with a dpuk adapter.
How hard of a job is it and what type of service manual did you follow?
Not really a hard job. I have a video before this where I linked a manual for an earlier steering box.
@@22rabbitsI’ve heard that RHD and LHD are different boxes in the way you rebuild them. Is the manual you linked RHD?
@@dins.garage I'm not sure honestly.
Common problem on these engines. I had two snapped. Mercedes made them soft on purpose so you can drill them out. My concern is when you mount a bigger turbo that puts more strain on them.
I watched your TH-cam channel and your content is very good👌👌 I loved your last video so much I'm sharing it with 50 people💥💥I hope you grow up. Your fan Habibur Rahman
Hie which elements and injector pump are you using? Your 606 looks abit sluggish with the HX35
I have a 7.7mm pump. It is a bit sluggish because of my gearbox/transmission. It's a old Merc 4 speed. Which means most of the time I'm on 4th and need to get the revs up to get moving.
Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing the reinstall.

Can it be done with the subframe in place, or does it have to be completely dropped?
Can what be done?
@@22rabbits Replacing the bushes
@@dinispaulino7512 I'm not sure. I would think it's possible to do it in place.
Hi Niall, What turned out to be faulty?
The control module was faulty.juts bought a cheap used replacement on eBay and it was solved
Hey @Niall o you have a video on installing the rear seats themselves? Trying to find a video or a how to guide on adding them 😅
From memory it's a fairly straightforward job.
@@22rabbits yeah we're in the process of doing it but we're trying to utilise the existing carpet but transplant it onto the spare part which has the seats. We're not bothering with seatbelts just yet
@@hazimbidiwi1604 the seat cushions themselves are not that important, the seat belts are the priority. You could be sitting on the wood bases in an accident as long as you had the seat belts. With that in mind I screwed the cushions to the wood rather than try and take the carpet off. I did toy with the idea of getting a router and making them the same as the original but decided to be lazy 😂. I don't think you'll separate the carpet from the wood in one piece without rips.
@@22rabbits I understand the safety side! More of a novelty, to just pop the seats up whilst parked or camping
I’m annoyed that I didn’t realize it until it was too late that the one I got has no battery and has to be plugged in the whole time. 😑 So, I can use it at home with an extension cord plugged into my house, but away from it, I need to buy a generator or something. Pretty pissed.
Change your smoke detector battery
where in ireland you building up your estate? i'm down in waterford doing petrol swaps but be keen to see your bus for my own diesel swap
I'm up in Meath. Iv been using it now for two years daily driving around 400-500 miles a week. So it is beginning to show its age a little. Cosmetic stuff.
@@22rabbits the car is still looking class, your never down in cork are you?i dont fancy paying the massive petrol bill to drive the kompressor turbo lol
Love this wee saw.
This,I think is the only info on the ELR on non turbo euro cars. Now all I have to do is find which wire goes where on the ELR relay.I am putting a OM 603 into a W123 TD .The owner supplied a pile of parts to do the swap so It's been a mission finding info .The Australian version is very different to the majority of W124's here on the Web.
Good video, I probably need to make this also!
Самая большая и любимая моя ошибка мерседеса .эти автомобили
Clogged egr or clogged cat can cause bad back pressure get a temp gun read yiur cat temp after the turbo and after the cat. Can burn the lifters if not fixed and blow a exhaust seal .check the trans soft lines. Center support bearing on drive shaft can cause a rattle. Change the vacuum lines for turbo. What oil are you using if heavier weight go back to stock oil .when was the fuel filters changed 2 nd one is the heater block on the fuel filter housing. Bad rubber fuel line also getting are through the scaling. Bad fuel line seals.that deals with your black smoke or white smoke issue. On cold start does it hezatate or stutter
Ive a 1997 3.5L v6 DOHC-24 6g74 mitsubishi shogun gen 2 high roof with 103,000 miles on it. That im importing from the uk to Ireland. Im fixing it up first. I did a new timing belt kit as it skiped 2 teeth and wouldn't start. I just pulled into my driveway coming from the uk with the shogun and the engine dies, was lucky to make it back. Engine was perfect and as i came near my house it started to missfirer, then i tured into my driveway and she dies, was told by few mechanics that looked at it. That the engine was done for as valves met pistons. I had high hopes that the engine was ok as it was only ticking over when it shut off and didnt make crunching noises. So me and my dad spent a day doing a new timing kit to start as we got the car as a project to restore it and bang she came alive. We've started on the rust doing 6 hour a week on it (mostly weekend) with my dad and his friend. It has rust in all the same spots as you. We got the drivers side front done from holes, it had about 6 holes and 1 going into the cab just beside the accelerator. We have a big hole in the rear 2 wheel arches. If u go to drivers side rear and look inside the arch to the right inline with the rear door handle into the cabin thats where our hole is. We are unsure on what way to weld this as its an arkword spot to fix. Would anyone have any recommendations on how to do this one? Im unable to attach a picture thank you
Piston rings and valve seals gone
What makes you think that? I'll check again but I don't think the valve cap moves when on loose.
@22rabbits excess leakage past the engine piston rings .blow by. Too much pressure in crankcase. Nothing else can make oil come out of pcv
My injection pump leaks at that throttle lever exit in case that's any help.
When it’s hot, oil has amazing creep properties and dust will stick to it. If the leak is severe it will clear a path through the dirt indicating the source. That you have a general build up of oily gunk is a good thing since it indicates wicking of what little oil is escaping. Unless you see drips from under the car or more than half a litre oil loss between oil changes then the oil leak is so minor it is not worth spending time and money on it. I have two of these old S124s and I just keep them running by fixing the mission critical items.
The front doesn't have any subframe bushings right?
Correct
