Trimming Junior Turkey Wings: Ready for Pasture!

With the junior turkeys gaining in size, its time to give them some space.
Trimming one wing will diminish their flight abilities. Ready to try foraging in our fruit tree orchard!

Why do you trim them?

To prevent them from flying over the fence. Mine is 7ft Tall and one flew over with a running start when wings had grown out. Once cut one side it throws off valance when trying to fly.
