Pregnancy is a beautiful journey...there is nothing to be scared about,esp after hearing people’s stories ..just as there are ups and downs in life ,pregnancy also has its ups and downs in the three trimesters...and my doctor had told me to enjoy my pregnancy to the fullest (even though I had been asked to be on bed rest for almost one month in my 3rd trimester) Believe me the struggle starts once u have delivered the baby but that too has its phases...U will forget everything when you see your child smiling and happy!! P.S -I’m commenting like a friend (not trying to preach) and thru my personal experience.

Good attempt but i really wanted to hear your mom speak more and some more points. I wish in this video Sejal just asked the question and let her mom do all the talking. Also, there were a lot of jump cuts which was bothersome. Lastly, i wish there were some gender neutral questions. Most questions were answered assuming "the other party" was a boy and questions were mostly from a girl's perspective. Wish they were some queries from a guy's perspective too - about puberty, about their sexual urges, about their partner's sexual approach etc. Certainly a very much needed and appreciated topic in our country. I always thought something was wrong with me and sex is something I would eventually have to force myself to confront with. But then I learned what asexuality and felt this relief knowing that nothing is wrong with me and that I need not force myself to come in terms with sex and do it. Also all the people commenting below that their parents are too conservative I just want to say that my parents are the same and you must understand that our parents have been brought up in a certain way by our grandparents so the mindset they're functioning with is (most often than not) a hundred years old wala! So as suggested by Sejal's mom take it slow,one thing at a time.If you have a very stiff relationship with your parents then you can't just drop the SEX word on them and then expect a wholesome conversation ,trust me that will never go in the right stride! Instead put in efforts to make them aware of the kind of life you are living, your friends, the kind of books you read , the music you like, your views on social issues etc. This will help you guys in having a better understanding of each other and once that's established over time then the ease of conversation about anything and everything will increase. And as far as sex is concerned it's just physical intimacy don't attach morality with it it's not a judgement of your character no one decides for you when you want to get sexually active, it's your personal choice. Having said that I would also urge you to ask yourself if you're actually ready for it and if you really wanna do it without any kind of pressure and you're ready for the aftermath and won't go in guilt trips later on! My daughters are 21 and 15 and both of them are very open with us. My elder daughter openly talk with me on sexual matters and younger freely talk with us about friend's boyfriends and all. We like it so much ki now our generation can talk freely with children on such a sensitive issues and can educate them.

So firstly respect to you both for openly talking about this. A few points about the video: I felt like you interrupted your mum. I felt she had a lot more to say which cud have been useful to the viewers. 2) The interview felt rushed. There were many instances where I felt that u cud have dived deeper into a specific point/ elaborated more about it. Like asked follow up questions 3) personally I think this video wud have been better had u noted the questions and summarised them beforehand. Meaning what were the general questions that seemed to come up. I just felt it wud have been morr conversational. It felt a bit abrupt when u kept saying this question, next question.

Good attempt but i really wanted to hear your mom speak more and some more points. I wish in this video Sejal just asked the question and let her mom do all the talking.
Also, there were a lot of jump cuts which was bothersome.
Lastly, i wish there were some gender neutral questions. Most questions were answered assuming "the other party" was a boy and questions were mostly from a girl's perspective. Wish they were some queries from a guy's perspective too - about puberty, about their sexual urges, about their partner's sexual approach etc.
Certainly a very much needed and appreciated topic in our country. Kudos!

I didn't know I was asexual as I never knew there was such a term. I knew I was different and not on the same side of the sexual spectrum as others. I always thought something was wrong with me and sex is something I would eventually have to force myself to confront with. But then I learned what asexuality and felt this relief knowing that nothing is wrong with me and that I need not force myself to come in terms with sex and do it. I don't want any other individual to go through that and do something that violates themselves. So please! Talk about asexuality too.

Kudos to you Sejal for atleast discussing this topic openly here on social media because alot of teenagers follow you and this is the right kind of social media influence we need in our life !
Also all the people commenting below that their parents are too conservative I just want to say that my parents are the same and you must understand that our parents have been brought up in a certain way by our grandparents so the mindset they're functioning with is (most often than not) a hundred years old wala!
So as suggested by Sejal's mom take it slow,one thing at a time.If you have a very stiff relationship with your parents then you can't just drop the SEX word on them and then expect a wholesome conversation ,trust me that will never go in the right stride!
Instead put in efforts to make them aware of the kind of life you are living, your friends, the kind of books you read , the music you like, your views on social issues etc. This will help you guys in having a better understanding of each other and once that's established over time then the ease of conversation about anything and everything will increase.
And as far as sex is concerned it's just physical intimacy don't attach morality with it it's not a judgement of your character no one decides for you when you want to get sexually active, it's your personal choice. Having said that I would also urge you to ask yourself if you're actually ready for it and if you really wanna do it without any kind of pressure and you're ready for the aftermath and won't go in guilt trips later on!

My daughters are 21 and 15 and both of them are very open with us. My elder daughter openly talk with me on sexual matters and younger freely talk with us about friend's boyfriends and all. We like it so much ki now our generation can talk freely with children on such a sensitive issues and can educate them.

So firstly respect to you both for openly talking about this. A few points about the video: I felt like you interrupted your mum. I felt she had a lot more to say which cud have been useful to the viewers. 2) The interview felt rushed. There were many instances where I felt that u cud have dived deeper into a specific point/ elaborated more about it. Like asked follow up questions 3) personally I think this video wud have been better had u noted the questions and summarised them beforehand. Meaning what were the general questions that seemed to come up. I just felt it wud have been morr conversational. It felt a bit abrupt when u kept saying this question, next question.

Your mother gave a very different perspective to this whole thing. The way she said we ourselves should be ready to accept the consequences after sex is something I never thought of. Even I'm not really fond of pre marital sex, that's my personal opinion ( I don't mean to call others wrong or something) , but now I understand that's where's the difference lies, like I'm not ready to face the aftermath be it physically or emotionally.
