Hi Liberty. I just found your channel and now am all caught up with your videos. Everything you make is quite lovely. So bright and colorful. I love the way you take time to explain things. I hope all is well with you and your family as I do hope you will be bringing us more videos. We miss you ❤
Your Minnow Throw is gorgeous! Well, both of your throws are 😊. Love all the new minis. I’m not a sock maker so I never understood the use for minis. You’ve given me some great inspiration to get myself into trouble on Etsy. After watching a previous episode I checked out WoodsandWool, the Sitka Shawl was one pattern that caught my eye. I look forward to seeing the color you choose for yours. I have a laundry list of projects to finish before I can consider starting that one, so it’ll stay in my Etsy favorites for a while. Also have to say what an excellent idea to borrow books from your library before purchasing them! I hate buying a book and then find it’s not what I wanted after it arrives. Time to make sure my library card is still good! As always, thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for watching and commenting ☺️ minis have so many uses in crochet, you just have to get a bit creative sometimes! I agree with you about the books, libraries are a great resource.
Thank you for sharing all your lovely makes! I discovered you thru Melissa at woods and wool! I love the patterns you purchased! Her designs are fun! 💜
Thank you for a lovely podcast. Your throws are beautiful. It's so satisfying to use up stash yarn. The sweater pattern looks interesting. I enjoy making garments so I look forward to seeing you begin that project.
Thank you so watching - throws are definitely my favourite things to make. I do enjoy making sweaters and such like but always struggle when choosing which colour to use! Hope you stick around to find out ☺️
So glad to have found your Podcast and noted some of your links and suggestions! Very grateful for these -as a long term knitter who has recently embraced crochet and become a bit obsessed it is harder to find modern, interesting crochet content but glad it is growing to share the creativity...lovely thanks!
Love all of your podcasts, Liberty. I’ve always loved making blankets and crocheted ones are my favourites! I love the way you put your colours together and can’t wait to see what you’re up to next. What do you do with your throws when they’re finished? I give mine to different charities, but as a knitter and crocheter of some 68 years, there really isn’t anything I need and I really enjoy giving things away, even when they’re made with my favourite hand dyed yarns 😉
Thanks so much Christine. I do gift most of my blankets to be honest, but mostly to my family, or my daughter quite often benefits from them. What a lovely idea to donate to charities - that’s definitely something I’ll look into ☺️ take care ❤️
Love your finished throws. My favourite is the granny square one. Im just about nearly finished a crochet blanket, emmaCmakes did a tutorial for a striped throw , its so nice, im pleased to have used up stash too!!!!! I really like the cowl and the top patterns x
This was enjoyable as I sit and work on my granny triangle. Minnow throw is also a WIP for me. On the Woods and Wool kerchief check your gauge as mine was going to be too small
@@bertscraftschats As you said there are two different patterns one is for the really short bandanna in fingering and the longer one for DK. I was doing the shorter one in fingering and restarted and stepped up a hook but haven't finished it yet. Got sidetracked on my other couple of projects. The long and short versions are essentially the same patterns but the long one skips rows between the increases. I think if you are going to be a little short from looking at the guage you could stretch out the increases a bit.
Lovely podcast again! All your mini’s look beautiful. I wish shipping and taxes from the UK to the EU weren’t so ridiculously high, because I would definitely purchase hand dyed yarn from UK dyers. I was looking at Woods and Wool patterns yesterday. I might make the scout kerchief to use up some stash. I was also drooling over the “one more chapter infinity scarf”. I’m hoping to find a nice set of mini’s or maybe an yarn advent later this year to make this pattern. I also liked seeing the books and the basket and pouch. It’s a nice addition to wips and yarn!
Thank you so much for coming back and commenting again ☺️ I’m glad you enjoyed the extras I added this episode. I’m sorry to hear your shipping and taxes are so high - it’s such a shame you don’t have access easily to all the lovely yarn over here. I hope you manage to find a set to make the infinity scarf, it’s on my very long ‘to make’ list too!!
Have you checked out Ellie Jones of Craft House Magic. She has a podcast, mostly knitting but she dyes her own yarn, she’s also in the UK. She has some good tutorials. A very good one on using an invisible knot to join your yarns. I use this to join my different scraps of leftover yarns, then wind them into balls which you can use to crochet from without a bunch of loose ends to weave in. Hope this is something you can use.
It seems that you have not been making videos as of late. Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed them all and I hope all is well with you and if you can, you will consider coming back again take care.
Hi Libby, love all you makes and purchases 😄 I look forward to your videos. Just a heads up you are not looking or showing items to camera, you seem to be looking off to the side, not a complaint just thought you’d like to know x
Thanks for the tip - it’s a bit awkward as I film on my iPad and the camera is to the side so almost look there unknowingly - maybe I need to come up with a better solution ?! 🤔
@@bertscraftschatsI used to struggle with filming on my iPad or phone. But i found if you put a little dot or sticker where the little camera lense is, and make sure you aim for that and not watch yourself on the screen, it works perfectly. I’d be the same when on a teams call and someone told me this tip. X
Hi from NZ! Happy to have found your crochet podcasts. Your projects are interesting and lovely. I have subscribed. I think viewers would feel much more connected if you were to look directly at the camera and not off to the side. Just my opinion tho!

Thanks for the tip, did you make yours in sock or DK weight yarn? 🙂

Lovely podcast, off to checkout the dk minis😋😋 also the patterns.
Ooooooh enjoy your browsing ☺️☺️

@@bertscraftschats ha yes, that “to make” list is for me also always longer than it’s humanly possible to make all the things 😝
