I can see the need for battery power when shore power isn't available, but I would lean towards reducing the complexity of batteries and adapters, especially at the head end when shore power is available. I would be more inclined to enlist shore power as the primary source and battery as secondary/backup. P.S. I have (2) YoloPro's and using a high-capacity USB charger to keep the battery from draining during use. It usually holds it steady at the same level as when I start a stream - doesn't really go up or down until I end the stream and the unit has a chance to recharge. But I hear ya - those Yolo's are tricky with power but super powerful devices for their form factor especially with the latest updates. If you are on the latest update, this allows you to dim the screen and thus draw less power - I found that to be quite helpful in keeping the battery at parity.
Thanks for the coment. I do usually prefer shore power (my Navy days are showing!). I wanted to show how battery power could be done if mains AC wasn't available. I do use batteries exclusively for my cameras. They are easier to set u and use that way. More portability and no cabling to trip over! I will post a new vid soon on using a device to power/charge the YB from a DTAP. This new system keeps the YB charged and won't drop during productions and will charge the YB when it is off. I think it's a winner!
Good job.. Looks good. The use of battery power for the Production area would worry me. Thanks for listing equipment used(slider, batteries, camera, wireless transmitter/receiver). Your neighbor's fence is screwing up your shot. Why not use those beautiful flowers and greenery as a backdrop?
Wonderful! Would love to see the audio part demoed, which camera sends the master feed, etc. I assume you pre mix the wireless, etc in the zoom and send a master stereo out??
Thanks for sharing. Is there any reason you don't draw power (110V) from the house with an extension cord & power strips, at least for your main control station on the folding table??
I think this is probably the most expensive "simple setup" I've ever seen :D don't get me wrong your setup definitely makes sense, but the wireless video transmissions always create a latency that you have to compensate(if you also use microphones) and that takes some time too But of course I understand your point of wanting to do it without cables
Latency is an issue when you have wired and wireless combined. However, with all cameras wireless, it's not an issue in the least. For audio, something I didn't explain in the video, I use mics connected to a Zoom F6, which in turn is connected directly to one of the cameras. Audio is then fed in from that camera. Audio will then be in sync with the video and then into the streaming devices. "Simple" the man said... :)
@@ZyxxyDigitalMedia Correct. If you are all wireless and input your audio through a camera then you are good. Otherwise it's easy to adjust the latency on an Atem Mini
@@ivanchaparro8973 I'll do an audio setup in a few. (The "Real World" keeps me a bit busy right now!) With the Livestream setup, timecode sync isn't required or even desired. I do have the Tentacle Sync devices and love them. I use them when doing a multican recording (no stream) and I want 4K source footage. In that case, I attach a Sync E to each camera's mic input (three total) and a final one to the Zoom F6's timecode input port. I use the Tentacle Sync Studio (Mac) or Timecode Tool (Windows) to read the timecode and input into the system. It's a pretty easy way of keeping sync across multiple cameras and audio devices.
Is there a reason why they Hollyland receivers are so far apart and away from the switcher? Could the receivers be placed side by side and mounted directly to the switcher or is there too much interference?
Hollyland recommends that the recievers be at least 0.5m apart from each other to prevent interference. I have them on a light stand up higher, as standard practice, to get better range and reception from them. Lower would cause interference as well as reduced range.
@@ZyxxyDigitalMedia Thank you for the response, that makes sense. I was thinking of making a directors rig with the two receivers attached to the switcher (Yolobox Pro) so it can be mobile but was unaware of the separation requirements. Im gonna have to rethink the setup
@@ZyxxyDigitalMedia oh that makes sense. Was wondering why i keep seeing live setup with the yolobox combos of these wireless transmitters and what to be on the lookout for.
Well, I started with one camera kit and the Yolobox. I have a separate revenue stream keeping me in cookies and milk! As I made money livestreaming, I woud pay off the gear I was using and then buy more! And the process continued. More cameras meant larger livestreams, meaning more income. It takes time and hustle, but it can be done without putting yourself deep in debt.
Thanks for enabling the comments. Can you please do a video of a detailed run through of your camera rig. I'm loving your setup. Appreciate if you can do a video of step by step for your camera rig.
What is the point of the Atem? Couldn't you just do this with the Yolobox? Also, do you have any issues using the Hollylands so close to one another. Thanks!
The ATEM was a test to see if I could add additional HDMI inputs if I wanted them. I've done it once and it worked quite well. FYI, I haven't needed it since that first time! The Hollyland receivers are over 0.5m apart, so no issues whatsoever. That's the minimum distance recommended by Hollyland. I use three 20" magic arms that are angled at 120 degrees from each other. That actually gives me a few inches to spare! It's compact as well.
🤔 ...so connecting the atem into the yolobox eliminates the need for a computer for streaming, to create lower thirds on the fly, and also eliminates the need for a monitor.
Actually, no interference with the HDMI wireless stuff. Different frequencies and all that! You just have to make sure that the receivers are at least a half meter apart.
Yes, it's possible, but you'll have to test the latency. I'd suggest to wirelessly connect audio out from mixer directly to a camera instead to avoid latency issues.

genius query, can this compact console be used for 8 to 10 hours running on? Have you tested it for that many hours? and the other query is if I can save in its memory up to how many logos or images? thanks and very good channel
for the Feelworld monitors, it says 12v DC IN, as I believe most vmount batteries are 14.8v. Did you have to step down the voltage using a converter or anything or does it take the 14.8v directly from the dtap with no problems?
Putting that monitor on a test bench supply, I found that it's quite happy between 9v-16v; this is due to the fairly standard internal voltage regulator that conditions the incoming power to what the electronics actually need.
