    • @irairod5160

      Like you, I use the 1 x 1 table cells instead of text boxes because they are a little bit harder for the students to move or resize by accident. I either add color inside the box itself, or format the text so that students' responses are in a different color and font than those of the worksheet.

    If you go to the drop down menu for add a slide on the top left, add the ‘caption’ slide. Copy the click to add text here box. Copy it and paste it on the worksheet. You can resize it, change the font, color, etc. Placeholder text disappears when you click in the box so students don’t have to delete it. Game changer.

    • @rebeccasimonds7035
      @rebeccasimonds7035 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the same problem. I think in order to snip the whole thing, I'm zooming out and then it's blurry when I enter it in the background.

    • @jessicamiller3264
      @jessicamiller3264 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rebeccasimonds7035 the reason why it's blurry is that you are probably zoomed way far out and trying to create a background that is blowing it up to the paper size you have selected. You can either make the paper size a little smaller (instead of 8.5 x 11, try 8x10.5 or something). The whole point of the 8.5x11 is so that it can be "printed" if needed. So if the ratio is smaller, you're just adding more of white space around the picture if you are required to print!

    Amy, this is incredible! I’m a South African Grade 5 teacher and we are currently on our Easter holidays, but the country is in full lockdown (we’re not even allowed to leave our homes to go for a jog or walk the dog!) and it is unlikely that we will go back to school as planned. So we are now also being launched into the sphere of online teaching, as many teachers around the world have already been doing. I’m busy planning and I had envisaged myself retyping all my hardcopy worksheets to make them digital 🙈 This is life saving information. I particularly like the idea of making the worksheet the background in Slides so that kids can’t fiddle with it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!

    Thank you very much, from a person who didn't really know how to cut and paste and now I need to learn so much for distance teaching. You present this very well. Make more!!!!!

    Amy, THANK YOU! You made it soooo easy! I surely appreciate your kindness in sharing with so many of us that are a little more technology challenged! :-) Teach on, girl!
