Coyote pack after a squirrel and all the squirrels need to watch out

Watch the pack of coyote head over to a creosote bush were there is a least one squirrel that caught their eye. A squirrel becomes a small meal for one of them and there is no sharing happening here.
After they are gone, the squirrels are back out in the open doing their squirrel thing. Later in the day a coyote is here, but the squirels must have warned everyone to hide. This coyote smells squirrel and eventually leaves.

Squirrels almost look like prairie dogs with long tails.

Often people think they are prairie dogs, but you are right on. They do look like young/baby prairie dogs, but long tail vs short tail. Adult prairie dogs are chubby and bigger.

I think the specific species is the round-tailed ground squirrel. Cute little things, but they'll ruin brick patios and concrete slabs by undermining them.
