@TRYtoHELPyou noise from the inverter? No! But loud amps for such occasions are not known for their signal to noise ratio in the first place. As for the activities? It worked great!
Since I already have a few batteries, I bought this for a small portable power source. It works well for smaller items. Mine will not power my small freezer or refrigerator because they both will pull over 3.3 amp when the compressor comes on. Another review of this item ran his fridge around 10-12 hrs with a 10AH battery, his must pull very low power.
Just tested this on a 2022 Whirlpool 19.4 cu. ft. fridge/freezer with a 7.5Ah battery (it was full or mostly full). Got about 4.5 hours out of it, but I could probably get it to stretch a little more in an emergency situation by turning the temps up and turning off the ice maker. Might be able to cycle usage of it too (some time off, some time on).
I have a small Camping! fridge/freezer and even the old 150 W one powered that if you get the ones that are designed to draw less power then you should be fine but yes a mini mini fridge would be big ask for this. I just got one and I’m gonna be testing both of that and the eco-flow Delta mini along with the solar panels that go along with it
As long as they draw enough power to keep the thing on, absolutely. I have been using this thing a lot still and it's good. I was able to fire up a 4.5 inch angle grinder today and it was able to power it most. If I pushed hard on the disc, it would load down the motor and then the ego thing would cut off. All that is to say I'm still liking it a lot.
Good review! I have one and like it. I already had (3 batteries) for my blower and trimmers so it was a no brainer for another portable power station. Funny how you mentioned that weird smell. I noticed it also. Not as bad as my little Bluetti portable power station. It smells so bad I had to remove it from my bedroom.
Good idea but something was wrong with the two I got. Just had a solid red light on the first one used the replacement on a fan and ran for a while till it didn't then the red light was stuck on always a good thing to thoroughly test it out before the return window ends. Ego is far from perfect. Look at the brand-new mower with speed IQ it hasn't done well and even got a massive price drop.
Huh, that seems like a pretty good use case for someone with lots of batteries. I wonder if the reason for crazy good deals on EGO equipment is quality related, or more people bought it expecting gas endurance and only got electric performance.
So for the riding mower, it was simply that a store was dumping a mass quantity of floor model everything (washers fridges mowers etc) to a resale outlet store. So crazy how cheap (1000 dollars with nothing included tho). The weed Wacker I got was missing it's string spring, mower (2 of them with battery really cheap) the people said the batteries weren't working. But they were and still are, long story as to how the batteries can appear to not be working (red overheat light on charger). Yeah. Snowblower was that the guy moved from a house to an apartment, it was a good price.
So as somebody who needs to use my weedwacker once per week I could use this as a trickle charger and get more cycles out of my battery compared to using the 1 hour charger it came with because rapid charging is not great for batteries.
Yeah, sort of... I have a 10 year old 4ah ego battery that is still kicking and most of its life was spent on a 550 watt rapid charger (grey). So I guess what I'm saying is these batteries are decent as is. When there is a problem the warranty usually is long enough in duration to cover issues.
