After my first divorce I decided never to work a job I hated ever again. Why should a man sacrifice for a family and society that doesn’t appreciate or respect him? Huge numbers of us are refusing to play the game any more.

100% truth. Once the family court decided it was fair to remove my home from me, effectively give my children to their mother, set me an order to pay court costs, alimony, child maintenance without any children access order or authority. The court never once asked how I would survive. I decided to check out the entire system. Closed my business. Stopped paid employment. Began minimal lifestyle to avoid feeding the system which clearly hates men, fathers. Forcibly makes us homeless, then says we're losers.

The money is solid, and I love what I do.
However, landscapers are looked down upon by society (especially women) but I could care less..

You need to decouple your sense of worth not only from a title attached to a vocation/job. You need to decouple your worth from any outcome. If a relationship fails, or a business fails, or any effort you make fails to produce a desired outcome you need to be able to maintain a positive attitude about yourself and your efforts. Its extremely difficult to do. When you fail in business, or a relationship with a woman falls apart it will no doubt cause negative emotions and thoughts… you need to work on giving yourself the tools to get through those experiences and still have a sense of self worth.

      go even deeper.
you don't have to work at all. just do what you like and let God guide you through life. the problem is that you tell yourself that money can't come from things that you do for fun.
get over that mental limitation and do what you like. ONLY what you like (not work), and trust that everything will unfold perfectly.
stop obsessing over money and you will be free.

It’s even apese when you become a parent, now you face the difficult decision to make with teaching your young one that the apparent world is a lie and he needs to present himself in a pretend way just enough so the powers that be (mostly psychopaths) don’t single him out or do you go on like nothing’s changed and keep the indoctrination going. The only reason why it’s hard I guess is because it’s conditioned from a young age, and reinforced over and over.
At my job I had a “Rockefeller” moment with my boss, he said we don’t need philosophers around here we need go getters. And that’s exactly the dumb way I’m presenting myself to that world since then and things worked out well. As long as I am detached and my sense of self worth is completely detached from this kind of black and white no soul corporate thinking then I am free, even while working a job.
I did save up about 2-3 years of expenses in the meantime as fu money just in case.
Now I’m pontificating your thoughts on what to work on that I am ‘skilllful at and people would pay their hard earned dollars for, instead of a job.

Thank you for this video, it really resonated with me. I'm currently unemployed, a bad back, bad hearing and no one will hire me. I've been trying ebay and other routes with hardly any success, it's very depressing. But to know that there are others that see it the way I do is a good feeling. If I could only choose the words as you did, perhaps I could make more sense of it trying to explain it to those who are at awe with my mindset. You know what's most heartbreaking? This system literally demolishes any personal interests and creativity. I was so creative and full on dreams and ambitions when I was 16-18 years old, I wanted to create. Now it's all gone, I feel like an empty shell not wanting anything, actually afraid of doing anything, afraid of trying something new. It's so hard to crawl out of this pit, especially by yourself, I can see why people become neets.
The thing is, early youth is the best time to try things out, the time you can actually struggle to do something, and that society prohibits you from it, and once you realise you were screwed it's all gone, you don't have that drive anymore, you become a grumpy young man. So yeah, definitely need to create something you want and when you want, don't care about money, be a 'parasite' to the system if needed, the system parasited on you from the beginning after all

I was always the kid helping the teacher figure out their computer in the 90s. I taught myself BASIC, then it was off to the races. Fast forward to after college I was sitting 15 years into a "career" in web development absolutely hating every waking moment of my cushy work from home programming job. It sucked the life out of me. You're not alone in experiencing that one, brother.

Their job means everything to them, and anybody without a job is seen as worthless in their eyes. Meanwhile I’ve spent all my 20s finding ways to avoid having a career as much as possible because I saw the writing that was on the wall- employers do not give af about you. Now that I have a nice stash of money saved up, my need for a job drastically diminished and I feel so much more at peace now than I did 10 years ago. To elaborate, I’ve stopped caring about keeping my job ( it’s a very good job ),and going to work everyday just for the reward of money(like mice after cheese)I know in my heart that if I try my best no matter what I do in in life (and your best is ALWAYS fluctuating so don’t be discouraged) , than I can whole heartedly feel proud and accomplished. I care more about my co workers than my job now , I care more about myself than my job now . I used to be riddled with anxiety everyday, but now …just like magic.. I am flourishing like never before No matter what you do who you are or where you are you can never escape the polarities of life ,job or no job you still have to work or you literally would have nothing to contrast your leisure to ..negating it entirely . Try your best, do what you know is right in your heart . And have faith that the universe will unfold exactly how it should. Thank you for the video .

I came to this realization in Jan 2022, after 25 years of giving my life to the corporate world. I walked away from a job that earned more than I ever have. But it was not worth my long hours of time and stress. Husband and I opened our own business that same month that I quit my job. God has definitely blessed us and with God’s will, we will never have to work in the corporate world ever again. ❤

These "unemployed men" thing is not just in America. I'm self employed; have been working on my business for almost 2 years.
I'm making 4 figures usd every month, and both of my parents are still nagging me to get a job, even though it's not needed, from a financial POV.
But since I technically don't have a job, some people think I'm somehow worse than f'ing delivery drivers who make minimum wage but sacrifice 160+ hours a month. While I earn more, work about 1 hour a day every day, and can actually do what I want.

I really appreciate the conversational manner in which you delivered the thoughts and contemplations that you've obviously considered, and made the connections.
I understand how the pieces come together over time, and the point of threshold that allows a person to leave (the matrix), the system, and the so well implanted beliefs that produce a fear of departure.
Very similar to the way a cult would indere its people and then produce a fear of leaving being so great a wrong...a form of Platos Cave Reductionism...Hotel California where you can 'Check out, but never leave.'
This is the first time I have known of you, or heard you express yourself.

This is such an important mindset switch. It doesnt even go as far as say 'start your own business' - it merely says that 'income' and 'jobs/careers' are not inextricably linked. Ppl think 'income' and automatically think, 'job'. We are so brainwashed that it can be in our face but we still dont see it. My mother only ever have a job, but i hadnt realuzed that my dad mostly never had a 'job' but created money from his hobbies ie teaching & selling

Not just work but a purpose to work towards. At some point existing in idleness becomes too much to bear. Entertaining yourself with the experiences or accounts of others becomes stagnant. You ask yourself: When does my own adventure start? Just what is my story? It is everyman's personal journey to become complete. That's what we should ideally work for... not aspiring towards a live of servitude under the yoke of big ABC corps.

Your words couldn't be more true brother. I felt, it came from a place of profound understanding of not only the mechanics of what goes around in the society but a deeper understanding of yourself as a person. This is why youtube still works for me, where I can find real people telling real truth and put their hearts out without selling their next product, course or get rich scheme. If I could tell people something its just that "Do You" and not what all the narratives want you to do, unfortunately it starts from kindergarten and at home and it takes a good amount of time to know yourself and come out of it and start being yourself. Wise words do make a difference keep spreading it and be yourself. Peace!

It does make a lot of sense, I think there is 2 ways to look at it 1. “Hustle culture”, 2. Detaching yourself from the modern day slavery that is debt and corporate slavery.
Common place jobs and some mid level jobs don’t afford people the benefits they used to such as PTO, retirement, full time employment promotion, and will likely not introduce those things in the future unless the government forces them to (but they won’t). So that leaves people with the more popular choice which is working for yourself or with a small team and making enough to be happy and do something they enjoy doing with people they enjoy doing it with and for. If you’re going to slave away you might as well do it for yourself and not the major complexes that churn and burn you out for the next person to run the same course.

The way that the system preys on the young, especially young men, is truly revolting. Student loans are taken out by 18 year old very young adults so that they can get the technological and cultural skills needed to take the place of those who are retiring. They are working to learn how to keep the machine running so that our society has a future. This is an obvious public good. Yet, how does our society reward these young people? by overcharging them for their efforts and loading them with an unforgivable debt.
How does our society reward the young men who joined up to fight the terrorists who attacked America on 9/11? By sending them to Iraq based on a lie and by keeping them trapped in the military until they can no longer serve.

The basics about how we feel about what we do is actually simple, our feelings tie to our body's needs and a job decouples them making both worse, because we no longer follow the body's needs of rest, sleep cycle, healthy nutrition and release. This is why self employed are generally more fulfilled, even if they make less, it's because they have the natural freedom to respond to basic body's needs. Most people don't know it and may never figure it out because modern life is separated from nature.

I realized it’s all worthless back in high school when the zeitgeist of modern money mechanics began to circulate
Time may be our ultimate currency but in our current society it’s skills that produce something tangible are what matters not chasing reserve notes
It’s gonna come crashing down Raymond in our lifetime
Not something dramatic like the apocalypse it’s gonna be financial ruin when the trust in the currency stops and necessities become a whole lot harder to get
