What's your biggest 'I'll be happy when...' that you're ready to let go of? 💛

Thank you for the reminder. One of my biggest "I'll be happy when's..." is I'll be happy when I can express myself creatively through TH-cam. It may be worthwhile noting that I have yet to post a single video. ;)

Very similar to your story. I’m now 74 years old (young), living alone with my two pups and happier than I’ve ever been. I’m happy with myself (finally) and learned to let go of ‘if I only…’. Love your channel and your content. Your stories are inspiring. BTW…I kicked the Diet Coke habit (7-8 cans a day, cold turkey even) after watching one of your videos.

I retired at 52 and honestly, I wish I’d done it sooner. The 9-to-5 grind always steals your freedom for a paycheck that barely scratches the surface. My advice? If you’re in your late 30s or early 40s, start saving for FIRE now (Financial Independence, Retire Early.) And if you’re in your 50s, invest smartly and break free from relying on your job. Market trends, like the Trump Effect, have made millions for many, including me. Stay focused, stay consistent, and remember financial freedom is within reach if you make it a priority.

    • @Latonya-r.b
      @Latonya-r.b 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

Exactly My point! The 9 to 5 grind is just not worth it the stress and low payoff. What specific steps did you take to break free?

Reminds me of what it teaches in the Sedona method for releasing the negative emotions in the way of inner peace, that all desires come from: 1 lacking oneness -believing you are an individual being seperate from the universe, 2 lacking security - believing you are unsafe especially as just a body, 3 lacking control - believing things must be the way you want them to be, 4 lacking approval - believing you are lacking love and need it from others, placing conditions on it

Thanks for the video Maggie, you reminded me what I already knew, but forget from time to time. I almost swiped away a couple of times, but stayed because I know I needed to hear it. I think sometimes I don't like to hear that I have all the power when it comes to how I feel, it's uncomfortable. It is also true. The flip side is that it is empowering and challenging, reframing ideas can be challenging just like the Hero's journey but a trial along the way. If you fail to pass the trial, then you get stuck in a small world of your own and never feel happy or accepted. The sad thing is that you have the power to change that at any time but just can't see it. It also perhaps isn't something that you hear and then say "yeah I get that" and implement it, would that it was so easy(and I know it is) but people tend to look for the answers outside of themselves. "I am going to go to India to find myself", I will save you the trouble and expense mate, you are standing right there. Enough of this rambling, I did enjoy the video, I did like and subscribe and I look forward to seeing more of your videos.

Sometimes striving for things is exciting, then when you achieve it you lose interest in the subject. The human mind needs something to strive for, something to look forward to. Happiness or fulfillment is something to compare your own achievement to, I can say that from time to time it feels good when you get certain skills and competences that you have been striving for, it gives you the feeling that you are now ready to act on certain things.

I'll be happy when...... I'm living back in a sunny country, either Spain or Australia (Adelaide, my hometown). I'm recovering from a burn out last year and have learnt SO much!! At 47 I'm really blossoming into ME and not allowing others to influence my BEING as I used too. I focus on my dreams, my goals and my passions. I was a sandbag from fear for too long and I've hopped back in my very own beautiful hot air balloon and started to dream, inspire and allow myself to shine again! I'm still contemplating the feeling of belonging and environment/systems I'm part of, staying on the boundary of a system to maintain my autonomy. I belong within myself and where I am today. When I do move back to a sunny country there WILL be other challenges to manage and that is for then.... I want to live TODAY with all the abundance, privilege and love I have around me. Thank you for sharing your beautiful bright light to allow others to do the same! Warmest of hugs and so much love!

I know this isn't the point, but here is a financial tip regarding the mortgage: If you were to pay an additional 10 percent each month, or one extra payment per year, your mortgage could be paid in 15 years instead of 30. This is something banks don't say much about them because they profit much more if you choose the longer term.

    • @janinedevilliers510
      @janinedevilliers510 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks.
I thought about it one day. The banks are in the property ownership business because they own your house until you have paid it off 5 x's more than it is worth over 20 or more years.
And if we loose oyr jobs or something unforeseen happens and one falls behind bond repayments, etc, the bank will take the house back. 'We' loose everything, the bank always wins. They are rigged like casinos are.
Casinos are designed to make you feel good while you are giving them all your money.
Nobody truly wins when gambling. The losses far outway the small wins.
Banks dont need to charge such huge interest rates. It is the rip off interest packed onto the money you are loaning. The banks are loan sharks hiding in fancy buildings called banks.
FIAT currency is debt. It is not wealth. We are in debt and even after paying off a house over 20 years if you are lucky to make it that far, you, we, will have to still pay rates and taxes, etc. So you are never really free. The whole system keeps us locked in. It is rigged.
That is why people work in a job they hate to pay for high rents or houses, cars, etc.
A house is a liability, not an asset. Anything requiring you to put money in is a liability. It becomes an asset when it is paying you.
Why are most people depressed today more than ever?
One reason is because the system and I mean everything, is rigged against us. It is not for us.
So I don't agree that we can just be happy. We need to wake up and realise the truth. The truth is the 1% elite control and own everything behind the stage curtain.
We as humanity should have the right to a home, food, water, etc, just by being here, alive.
If all those trillions were shared, every single human would be a billionaire and there would be more than enough left over.
It is the storey of the fishes and the loaves.
We are dumbed down. Our parents, grandparents, etc, were dumbed down.
      We are programmed.
Owned by a birth certificate. We are an entity for the rich to rob us of our natural rights to be free. Equal.
So, yes, we can try to just be happy and accept that this world is fake as the paper debt money is printed on.
The system is rigged so that we work as dumbed down slaves for the elite behind the stage curtains.
No matter how hard we work, we just never seem to earn enough. It is the carrot and the stick.
We watch programmes on TV, etc. That is what they are. Programmes. We are zombies zonked out in front of the TV being programmed by fake news. False advertising. Being herded into a way of thinking. Hating one group against another.
      Fashion. Fame. Etc.
This is all part of controlling us subconsciously to behave a certain way like an automaton.
People are frustrated. In debt. Doing horrible jobs to survive by the skin of their teeth, not thrive.
      People are divided into classes.
I am certain a homeless person would also like to have a home. To be able to feel safe. To have a nice hot bath or shower. Have clean clothes and a nice meal.
I feel certain all the starving people in the world would give anything for a decent meal. That their part of the world could have food growing projects instead of corrupt politicians taking everything for themselves.
We live in a skewed world. It is fake. And when a pwrson is struggling alone financially it causes distress, illness, and depression.
I feel certain most people want to be happy and free.
With a global rigged system it is very difficult and that is the actual truth.
I don't buy the rose coloured tinted glasses self help chats about 'be happy'.
Life is very tough and it is designed that way. All the wealth is held by a few.
I can love myself, but it won't change how under severe stress I am. The system wants what I have. That is called TAX extortion.
My partner just passed away. I am grieving. But the system doesn't care. All they care about is taking a big chunk of money they did not earn. My partner paid his taxes all his life. We pay taxes with every purchase we make.
And when we die or someone dies, that tax man is waiting like the grim reaper.
The people who set up the system and control it are like the mafia.
Like a casino run by the 'boss' who makes sure you leave all your hard earned cash in his vaults. It is rigged. All of it.
We can find moments of joy in between trying to survive, sure.
But the truth is, look around. Who is happy?
It is fake to sell a concept like permanent happiness.
It is like social media where people portray a fake self. An 'influencer'.
I want to be free. I don't want to be worried about bills, etc, etc.
And are the elite free? They have to keep the whole rigged system going around. Hoping nobody looks back stage.
Peace, freedom, happyiness, joy, laughter, are fleeting moments.
We all toil one way or another.
I love the idea of utopia. If only..

Thank you Maggie! I'm 26 years old and I am also wanting to grow my TH-cam channel. Your video showed up at the perfect time ❤. I was watching other TH-camrs and felt my insecurities creep in but when you talked about validation that shook me out of the deep dark hole of feeling bad about myself and I was able to remind myself of the reason why I am posting videos on TH-cam and that I am on my own journey of learning to be there for me and do things that fulfill me! 🎉 Grateful I came across your channel! Looking forward to more

All the not caring what others think, being able to just take life as it comes - that takes conditioning, deprogramming. You're absolutely right about what matters, but it is far from as easy as you paint it.

Well, fantastic video Maggie.Thank you for your authenticity and your honesty. I love the part about working with older people and recognizing the wisdom In what they say and how they see themselves. You have inspired me to consider something that I hadn't before, which is to start a youtube channel and share whatever it is I have that might be a value to others. You're honest discussion about desire for fame to make you feel whole is right on the money and exactly how I saw myself when a teenager/20something because of Success and accolades in a theater production. Please keep up the genuine vulnerability It makes me want to see what you have to say next.

I like this video, you speak words of wisdom and I appreciate them. I think you are very good at conveying your message and I want to encourage you to continue. I also am a TH-camr so I know exactly how it feels to pour your heart into a video and see very little results for your efforts. You should be very proud of yourself. I think you are very attractive and you look great on camera. You sound good as well. I can hear your life experience come through when you're delivering your message, I think that's something we definitely have over the the youngsters out there, we've lived and we've learned, now we can share it with those that care to listen. Keep it up, I'l be following you. Also I need to step it up myself. As you know we all go through periods of reflection where we might stray from what we should be doing only to wake up and say, "enough is enough, you know what you are doing wrong and you know what you should be doing , now go do it". I just had one of these , again so back to the grindstone. Again I like you're message so I hope you don't mind if I take inspiration from you and your work.

Everything up until this point was preparing you for what you are doing now Maggie, keep posting, growing, and serving❤People don't see the 30+ years that lead up to the "overnight" success. I wish for two things:
    1) That people know how beautiful they are, each and every one of them.
    2) That people know that other people don't care about how you look and what you do, for more than a second and that is if you shove it in their face. The rest of the time they are too focused on thinking about what others are thinking about them. So do you, nobody will care in the long run... Just pick a random name of an old friend who did something you thought was stupid and think about when was the last time you thought of them, and do you even care what that did today??
(I hope this comment helps you against the algorithm)🙏

Ahh, if only living life were this easy... Sometimes, more often than not actually, we *need* to have the 30 years of our own experience to truly get the wisdom that can be summarised by someone else in 10 minutes...
