    Good video but I’m a diagnostics guy and I like to actually see how you diagnose the problem so you’re not wasting time. When one line has pressure and the other one is vacuum the line with pressure will leak but the line with suction is where I’m confused on how to test for the leak. I don’t want to start changing out every oring and gasket on the fuel system

    Dude you need to be more specific exactly what you drilled. I have no clear idea what you're talking about.

    Thanks a lot. I started getting codes last week and couldn't figure it out as they would go away. Then it got really cold today and the car gave up the ghost. That's when I saw the air in the line.

    Can you make a video showing exactly what you drilled out? I keep getting air in the lines in my 2005 Jetta TDI, in fact I JUST had the lines bled with a vacuum pump for the 3rd time at various shops and I picked my car up just yesterday, drove it ONE DAY and ALREADY it won't start.. It's got air in the lines again, and as much as I love my car I'm about ready to sell it. It's been a money pit because of this. So any video or advice would be helpful.

    I disconnected one of the hoses in the diesel fuel system. Is it air in the fuel system now? Haven't started the car yet.

    Hi. Thanks for the tips! I've got a weird problem, which I was told is caused by air in diesel. The car has these weird unexpected surges of power. Like all of a sudden the HP doubles. This lasts for a few seconds to a minute before things go back to normal. This happened after work done on injectors.

    • @AlbertShevchuk
      @AlbertShevchuk  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      check if they put the copper washers back on when installing the injectors, they all came with this one thic copper washer. Then you can tighten the fuel line caps with a 17mm and also the caps on the pump itself. Then check all the vacuum hoses and those n75 valves

    • @AbdulIssa-ux2wz
      @AbdulIssa-ux2wz 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AlbertShevchuk Many thanks! So I checked those. They were tight. However, I noticed that the filter housing was leaking. So I bypassed it, just for testing purposes, and the power surges were gone!

    • @AlbertShevchuk
      @AlbertShevchuk  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AbdulIssa-ux2wz Yup thats what you need to check first. Did you get the old 1.6 diesel filter?

    • @AbdulIssa-ux2wz
      @AbdulIssa-ux2wz 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AlbertShevchuk No, just a cheap plastic diesel filter, just to test with it. So weird what a simple air intrusion can do to your car! I have another issue, which I would highly appreciate it if you can help me with. Long story short, car had a knocking injector. A mechanic removed all four, cleaned them, did some work on them. Knocking is gone since, but now it doesn't start as good. It struggles on cold days, where before it wouldn't do this. It can't be a compression issue; engine has a low mileage. I checked diesel hoses for air intrusion, as I told you before, but it only solved the sudden acceleration issue. I've been struggling for months now. I'm tired of spending money where no one has ever been able to pinpoint the issue. The car doesn't smoke even on cold mornings; No black smoke, no white smoke. Drives smoothly. Normal consumption. I am lost!

    • @AlbertShevchuk
      @AlbertShevchuk  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AbdulIssa-ux2wz I get the same also. Sometimes randomly i have to spin 8-10 cranks for it to fire up even when its hot. Its a fuel/timing issue. Its something about diesel spilling back into the gas tank and then not having enough pressure to spray before the compression stoke. My advice is to get the biggest battery you can fit in there. Modern solution lol

    • @AlbertShevchuk
      @AlbertShevchuk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So if everything is dry and you dont have any signs of fuel leaks. Take your fuel pick up assembly out of your fuel tank. Empty it out and use a hose with your mouth to see how freely air is moving. They have little check valves that go bad. If you can feel resistance, drill straight threw that sucker.
