Great video. Funeral music was a little funny. My late father bought one to clear some of our farm land in the early 60s. We had put propane on our John Deere G and 95 combine; so we put a Turbo Charger propane on the HD5. Throw that propane switch and it would go like heck. I used it some. My younger brother used it more. Those were the days. We'd dynamite the stumps and push the stumps in a pile. All came to an end when the GD government drafted me at age 19 in 1967. I was sent to Vietnam by that democRAT LBJ and blown up. My V.A. care sucked for 50 years. Our next door neighbor was killed in Vietnam. Government took my 2 younger brothers too.
The music would be nice in the background. Can't imagine folks going to a tractor show, hoping there will be some character on a piano drowning out the engines.

I ran one for a week. About the time you got the blade full of dirt, the little 2 lunger was out if power. Owner turned the rpm up and changed to 45 injectors. Next time I ran it was better, but not a lot. Great little finish dozer or log skidder.
Hi, What is the weakest link on the HD5 in your opinion? I wanted to hear it too. From seat and as camera person! Your barns looks like my grandmas old place in MN.
Great video.... Almost! What is it with folks who "think" it's neat to ruin an otherwise perfectly great video, with Music, of Any kind?!!? Lose the music... gearheads and equipment operators, Only want to hear the "music" of the engine (especially when it's a 2 cycle GM Diesel, aka Detroit Diesel after 1965) and the mechanical's of the equipment. Please, keep that in mind... IF, you ever make another video involving Anything at all, with engines. Thanks.
@@lewiemcneely9143... Lewie! Great to hear back from ya!! Yeah... I know. I must've hit the "3" button instead of the "2"..... what do ya expect at 3 in the morning? lol I was probably wishing it was a 3... my favorite of the small DD's. Before this week is out, I WILL.. email you. I've been really "bad" this last year or so, about getting into my email or emailing folks... Sorry!!
@@Romans--bo7br You silly youngun and God willing I'll be right here, but don't strain yourself. 10/4 on the 3 a.m. When my gout flares up I have to take prednisone and sleep goes right down the drain. I would really love to hear just a tractor running in the piano music overwhelming the sound. But that’s just me

Make a video of it.
Sounds like funeral home music, scared me, I had to check my pulse.

He should have put 55's in it and opened it to 2250. ; )
@@Romans--bo7br Gotta think of the rest of the machine plus parts availability when you find the weakest link.
sounds like its dead with the funeral music in the back ground lol
The music lost me at about the two minute mark.
Why drown out the engine sound with lousy music ?
Please take music off, the beauty of the engine is enough
I like pianos but I like the snarl of a 2-71 better.
The door falling off the hinges at 5:57 is priceless!
Scott Fischer lol
Yep, we we're taking down the barns that day.
These little dozers had plenty of power for their size, I still got one, just need some ear protection

These tractors are so old, there is no week link. They sound so mean also! Absolutely screeming when you run it wide open.
A good video spoilt by that awful music
So what’s with the Beethoven?
Jumpiest camera on the internet. And who is the funeral for?

All the 5's I knew had 2-71's. A 3 WOULD be better!

What's with the horrible music??? You're ruining the engine sound!
Manly bulldozers and elevator music? I don’t think so. 👎
I like the music but not in this type of video.
