It's very simple; If you post a lot of "couple" or "love" pictures, you need validation from others. If you never, almost never or simply forget to post couple pictures because you have a good time, it means that you two are very sure of each other. 95% of what people post on social media, has a psychological reason behind it.
My cousin is like this. She also shares their messages on Instagram stories. Like...... it's too much. Muted her, tired of seeing their relationship 24/7 😂

People posting multiple pictures of their significant other on social media all the time. Like that guy from Restaurant Impossible/Dinner Impossible and that annoying lady from TNA Impact Wrestling who is an ex WWE wrestler who post pictures of each other all the time like they have some doggone suffocating mental hold on each other. It is so annoying enough to make somebody throw up.
I believe in privacy! My opinion.
As a young adult I learned to not do it because I have no ring on my finger and this relationship can fall apart leaving me to delete alot of photos

I feel somethings are meant to remain private. Sharing every intimate, and sacred detail thing about one's relationship or marriage is a set up for yourself. Especially if your partner isn't cheer leading for you the way you do for them. Meanwhile expect people who once rooted for you take a seat and some popcorn and laugh when it all falls apart.
People over share on social media are over compensating plain and simple. You are looking for outside validation. An occasional post no problem but all the extraness, nope keep it to yourself. And claiming you're inspiring people with your relationship? LOL stop it. I know quite a few couples who post up their great moments on social media, but we all know the dirt behind the scenes.
Some people post about how great their partner is. They even post provocative pictures of their partner.
Me too it’s all a lie . Someone I know posted how he met his gf and he wrote some cringe love story . Me being actually in that moment, I know what went down 😂 like why didn’t you put where you told all of us that she is not your type ??? Looolll don’t be fooling everyone .
I don’t post my relationship on social media because everyone doesn’t need to know who I’m with! I also don’t need anyone thinking their apart of that relationship, the only people who need to know who I’m with is my family and my closest friends! If we make past the 6 months then he’s meeting my family like my siblings my grandparents and my cousins! He’s always meeting my parents first hand, and if we make it a year I’ll start posting very little of him but never will I Post something with his face in it! I’ve learned from experience that if you Post your relationship everyone thinks their apart of it and they have a say so with what goes on! And when I post stuff like memes about our relationship I don’t tag him! And he’s does the same, we just don’t share who we’re with!

Brittany Lynn first off sweetheart I wouldn’t ever cheat my momma taught me better than that, I was simply raised with old fashion values which I hold deeply on to now after being cheated on multiple times and etc. If a female feels the need to flaunt their relationship over social media then that’s their preference, Not everyone who keeps their relationship off social media is cheating or hiding their relationship they just want privacy! What’s sad is we live in a time where it’s expected to throw these type of things out there just to prove you love that person or that we’re officially together, I don’t need or want people who aren’t my family or closet friends involved in my private life because they aren’t the ones who know me the way my family and friends do and I ESPECIALLY DON’T NEED APPROVAL FROM ANYONE BUT MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS! But thank you for your opinion on how you think a relationship is automatically like if you don’t post it and I pray that the good lord helps you see what a relationship should truly be about I hope you continue to have a good day or night.

If you're posting, or in most cases OVERSHARING your relationship (especially if it's a rebound) all over social media, to me, you're desperately seeking validation not only from yourself but from others as well when you know that at some point that relationship might/will not go the distance.

If you’re gonna post about your relationship on social media then you definitely should wait at minimum 6 months depending the level of chemistry you’re able to build. Things can change so drastically and you can look like a complete fool if it takes a turn for the worse. Gotta be careful with social media.

But why is it the moment you two break up... there are no more updates ? You have gotten me SO invested into your story and now when it goes bad you punk out ? seriously ? if you want to be real then be real, show the good the bad and the ugly. If you're not doing that or are prepared to do that, buy a book, print out your picture and show that sh*t to your family and friends. Otherwise you're just an attention seeker, own up to it.

I'm on the tail end of Gen X. my ex was early whatever was after that. one of our disagreements was over her putting everything all over her facebook page. I was against everyone online knowing everything about our personal business. and i mean everything. I was fine with the 'in a relationship' status bit, but no one but the two of us needs to know about where we went to eat last night, how good the kissing was, etc.

For me I'm not posting you until we are married.I made that mistake before,luckily I didn't claim him as my boyfriend.I just posted the picture.They didn't know who he was.So it was easy for me to delete it without anybody asking me what happened.

I agree don't place your relationship on social media without a ring and a date. It doesn't make any sense that you with someone one minute, then you break up with them on the next. Then you repeat again and again and again.

And while there's no guarantee that a marriage will work, it's better to post them when married than to have a bunch of photos of the people you've simply dated plastered all over your social media. dating relationships are more susceptible to end at any given moment. it just doesn't look good to have various people you were simply in a dating relationship on your social media page and to have to keep changing your relationship status.. Marriage is more serious and sacred. plus when you are married your relationship is legal recognized whereas if you're simply in a dating relationship you are technically single.
