Directly after the towers fell, movie studios scrambled to edit out the twin towers from their films, which people hated and saw as disrespectful. I'm more of electronic music (Eurobeat, DnB, Techno, Trance) guy when it comes to racing games. But soundtracks like Daytona USA where it has cheesy and upbeat feeling of a song... is also very enjoyable to my ears.
This feels like a perfect PS1/Dreamcast era game.....but it only came out 4 days ago. What a lovely throwback gem. It would go perfectly with a Goldfinger soundtrack (Superman, 99 Red Balloons). You're like a perfect marketing piece for these under the radar racing games. I might buy this and try and beat your best time. I too really like my racing.
For an arcade racer, it has a surprising amount of depth and potential for off the wall skips. Sadly, it doesn't have a lot of tracks, but they're so replayable and the game is cheap. And who knows, maybe more tracks will come down the line.

This wonderful little game kept my interest more than a lot of recent slop. Can I also say that it's incredible to see a new game that barely breaks 200mb and has so much fun to offer.
If put in the right context and build-up, even the cheesiest music makes for the best experience in gaming. Take Ace Combat and Flamenco, Shrek 2 and "Holding Out For A Hero", and the spiritual successor of that, Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker with "Love Deterrence".

Man, now that is one sweet looking low-stakes but awesome cartoon racer! The physics look great, the set design is amazing (yeah, how about their rainbow road?), and my god, the 90's-style charm of this game is completely off the scale! Thanks for showing me this fantastic game Marius, and keep up the awesome work!

This is what my favorite games look like, this is what games I'll spent the rest of my life playing look like. I love modern graphics, but this style makes me have fun and not feel overwhelmed.
I didn't realise this is a recent game! I seriously thought it was a Sega Saturn game that I never played. They did a fantastic job making it look and sound retro. I've been wanting to see more games with SonicR-style music.
Ska music always reminds me of a meme that I once read when memes were still pretty new that said "Ska music is what 13 year olds hear in their head when they get extra mozzarella sticks" 😂 and I never forgot that. Now having said that, I really do miss little things like this, that look like PS1 games like Pa Rappa the Rappa and Um Jammer Lammy. I remember Bust a Groove 2 had cool little theme songs for each character. And this just took me back to that era of gaming.
