@@sidekick4TBH I think more of it has to do with every non-simulation game trying to make cars stupid easy to drive for "mass appeal." Driver was always a rather niche series, but look at the backlash over GTA IV because people couldn't handle the more complex vehicle physics.
true but also part of it is the fact that it's being overlaid on top of video games which often have weird proportions or don't move like real life, especially characters lol
I have this feeling that in 10 or so years AI will be so advanced that we'll be able to recreate any videogame we want, with the most up to date graphics.
I feel like video games should be able to reach this graphical quality but for some reason it doesn't come close. It always ends up looking so flat. Maybe developers need to have more contrast in the shadows and highlights?
I think it's a sum of many aspects. Now that path tracing with ray reconstruction plus many advanced post-processing techniques are available for developers, I think we are pretty close to situation where this kind of style can be achieved. Of course, when it's done with AI, it's full of imperfections, but I think developers could use AI-generated material as a reference so they could see easily how the colors, lighting and reflections should look. I'd love to see a reboot of Driver series with its characteristic yet revamped damage physics, 70's cars, old US cities, with photorealistic, old film-style graphics, just like Miami footage here looks in some of the clips. Technology is already there, it's just about money. That kind of games would be something unique and far enough from GTA to stand out.
Interesting how the physics and behaviour of vehicles looks very realistic considering the age of this game.
That's why this game was legendary at its time
thats why Driver was and still is a masterpiece
They put all the effort in that thats why it has solid foundations. Not like today: copy paste crap.

this video is A.I, sucks
Something about seeing AI stuff in motion just makes me feel uncomfortable. This _looks_ good, but at the same time just _feels_ wrong.

Yeah, the too realistic graphics being put on top of strange physics and movement
It’s Too real for my taste
Uncanny Valley in a nutshell
this is the closest you will ever get to a new driver
I hope not! Now that Remedy is remaking Max Payne 1&2 the next goal is to wake up ubisoft reflections and reboot the Driver series with remakes! 😂
Have you seen the rumors about Driver 1 & 2 remasters for the Nintendo Switch?
0:31 it accidentally recreated a Bullit scene

@1:11 Ah, yes, the good ol' 70's american muscle classic.. the BUCC
This is much better than expected
I like how with the use of Ai it takes old games and makes them look like modern day basic unity asset games
0:50 hey it got the name right! Buick :D
AI in Miami looks so good but San Francisco looks like some city or town in Europe...
This is what it feels like when i have a dream about driving my car
Cool, feels awesome.
0:12 soooo… we not gone talk abou-
New technology, you were not supposed to see that
I will it slide
One question.... When? (Release date) 😁
0:58 Those vans...
Már ideje volna egy új DRIVER résznek akár remaster is lehetne az 1-es meg a 2-es ből.

Стала выглядеть, как The Getaway 😄😄
Disappointed there's no music 😭
The soundtrack is just as nostalgic!
Merecia um Remake/Remaster com esses visuais. O 1 e o 2.
My issue is that the car models aren’t the same
You actually delivered 😂
AI goes reverse ^^
Even more realistic if there was 💩 poo on the streets. Welcome to San Fransiko.
San Francicico)))
Where’s the poo on the streets? I thought this was San Francisco…
it can be played in real time with it, or its only able to remaster a footage of the game?
The only game playable via generative AI in real-time is the Oasis AI Minecraft.
Do max Payne
That's not San Francisco that's driver one on the PS1 San Francisco has better graphics.
Lol
