I didn't start making content with any hopes of doing... well anything with it really. At best I wanted to document my initial experiences as I venture into trying different types of whiskey. As time went by I found myself in the TH-cam whiskey community with people actually subscribing and donating to my channels growth. I've been unemployed for over ten years due to my mental illness, and having this outlet and support has really helped me get through this past terrible year. Now I am doing live streams twice a week and making one video every week with multiple bottles and samples to get through thanks to the generous whiskey community. 🖖😎🥃

Hi Jeremy. I’ve been with you since the early days and am still with you. Not every topic appeals to me but I watch anyway - because I really like your style and perhaps similar to other followers, I feel I’ve really gotten to know you over all this time. You’ve led me to the purchase of some very cool things, which isn’t always easy because being from Canada (Toronto), they cost me 30% more plus (sometimes) taxes and duty. All in all, you are one of my favourites, so thank you for being You and being a positive and entertaining part of my life.

Love your channel man. Interesting to hear how you got where you are. Even if for some reason I was putting in the work to make my channel worth a damn, I'm currently in my 15th year in a career that doesn't exactly lay off. I work for "the man" here in Florida and have a nice retirement package coming my way. I see the end of the road just 10 short years away. I'm still in my early 40's. I'm not much of a risk taker and quitting to go full-time honestly terrifies me. It would have to be the perfect storm. BUT...seeing as how my job sucks the creative juices right out of me, it ain't happening! Oh well, at least I can afford bourbon and cigars.

These are great tips! I especially like the one about don't chase money, sponsorship, etc. It's very powerful to be able to pick and choose who one works with. The only equipment I think is really important is whatever gives good audio (even an iPhone corded headset). I can live with subpar video with good audio, but not the other way around. Question: About how many hours a day do you spend editing, filming, etc. and do you miss the social interaction of "going to the office"? Getting to STA at the end of the month....can't wait!

Inspirational stuff - (fellow beardsman here!) I have been following you since you were under 10K subs! (on my personal account!) Question - what lens are you using? SO much bokeh but you're not super close to the camera - is it like a 16mm f1.7? Love pretty much all your content, from pumpkin bread, to the clear ice, you have a gift mate.

Your story is great brother, thanks for sharing it. I make motorcycle videos and it’s more for the hobby of it, but I’m sitting at 3k subs now! Your content is great though. Sorry about the lay off but seems to have worked out for you! 👍🏽🙏🏽

Really great advice , I’m new to TH-cam and I’m def sticking to what I enjoy. I have way more fun doing it that way and I’ve definitely got better from my first upload.

Hi Jeremy, I am a new subscriber. I am in love with your taste in video making. you talk, but, the aesthetics of site design is simply brilliant. I would love to pick your brain how it works when it comes to set design, lighting, and your thoughts or how you iterated to your current equipment. big fan with a lot of respect, from India.

At 2:00 your monitor speaker behind you on the desk looked like a enlarged Wyze Cam for a second. I did a triple take trying to figure it out. I was like, maybe it's a 3D printed item to look like a large Wyze cam.,
