What pains me is that Aka is now really come off as a huge hypocrite. After all that preaching of protecting your characters, the toxicity of the industry, etc, and now doing the very thing you said you were against!
@@Wimplo86 tbf i feel sorry not sorry for him. After reading all the interviews he made, he was on the slippery slope even since before Kaguya. The way he's behaving has some traces from the years where Anno, Kill 'em all Tomino and Kurumada were depressed (depressed authors tend to do fatalist ends or go scorched earth over their series. End of Eva, The Ideon Be Invoked, Aura Battler Dunbine, Zeta and Victory Gundam and Fuuma no Kojirou have that similar feeling OnK has during their final chapters, although in Kurumada's case, his depression was bc his dad kicked the bucket amidst Fuuma no Kojirou runtime and he reflected that in the 2 final arcs where (spoiler alert) everyone died)
Also don't forget that he ends the manga with a virtual return to the status quo or idealizing suicide after an entire arc about the dangers of suicide. The theme of the manga all along has been hypocrisy, not lies.
What's even more hilarious is you called this 3 years ago, you either this is gonna end as a masterpiece or a giant dumpster fire and you said you're gonna go Dumpster fire cause you wanted them to prove you wrong well chibi THEY DIDN'T😂
Well he literally is a child tho he just had memories of his past self but his brain and body still acts like a child would and you dont develop your frontal lobe until age 25 which increases your reasoning and deductive skills by a lot so it makes sense why his decisions arent as smart as his past self would be
@@crimsonao7714don't u dare to remind me of Boys Abyss, if that shit get an anime i will just quit watching anime, no one sane will give it anime adaptation
The ending’s concept wasn’t bad: Aqua dying and B Komi living on to honor’s aqua’s sacrifice. Aka wrote it how he did to spite us for not supporting his newest work that got axed earlier this year. He’s spiteful and salty about it. We should not support his next work because he gave us the bird.
I'd argue My Hero Academia even if it was rushed was still a better ending than most people give it credit for. Honestly my biggest gripe with the Ending Arc is that it feels rushed, with some large unanswered questions that drag it down. I like the idea of Deku becoming a Teacher and eventually even becoming a Quirkless Hero. I feel like that part of it is still good but it simply should've been longer. A lot of it though simply just came down to time and the health of Horikoshi-Sensei. With My Hero Academia you can tell there was a lot of thought put into how it would end even if people might not like it. With Oshi No Ko, it felt like an after thought that the Author knew the people would not like and continued anyway because they were tired. My Hero Academia's ending was rushed and vague in a lot of areas but it put more effort into capping off the story and giving every character their own conclusions. I think in a perfect World, Year Two for My Hero probably would've been like it's own complete Manga Sequel or Final One Shot like The Last leading into the ending with the Armored Suit for Deku to become a Hero being foreshadowed more but compared to Oshi No Ko's ending it's actually the least offensive honestly. Out of the three named, My Hero makes me wish for more, Jujitsu Kaisen annoys me and Oshi No Ko pisses me off.
You know this is said a lot and frankly no one is mentioning how most of these series are ended like shit because the authors lose love, and that might be From the fans tbh
No. He’s bitter because the work he originally was going to end Oshi no Ko to primarily focus on, got axed earlier this year. Aka’s “masterpiece” he’s been lobbying for years to make got axed earlier this year. Since then, he’s been bitter about it because the fans were cheering on Oshi no Ko.
@@Dragneelfire well yeah that can be an option, but then again they are beloved series, so it’s not like they can’t write, I’m not saying it’s the only thing I’m just saying it’s concerning that we say this a lot and it shouldn’t be that common of an issue
I stand by the fact that though MHA Ending isn't perfect it's still a solid conclusion, Oshi's Ending is gonna make MHA's look like a masterpiece in comparison.
Same the ending feel so much that he just wrote it out of spite. I don't know if it bec his latest manga got cancelled or he hate that ONK always got leak before the chp even got released.
Tbf, I really do think a lot of anime fans kind of don't understand what makes a good ending. They place their own unrealistic expectations onto a character they think they understand, or a group of characters in a story they think they understand, and say "If this doesn't happen, this series is bad". Mind you, I'm not a defender of every ending, I don't like this ending one bit, but there's too many anime nowadays that are ending that people just right off as having a bad ending, and I just... don't agree with a decent amount of them. Before people try to write off an ending as bad, I'd always recommend to just try and understand the story now that they know how it's concluded and try to view it from the author's perspective and not their own expectations. Not everyone understands a story they like as much as they think they do, and that's fine so long as you try to let go of just one perspective, and try to embrace multiple.
@@LittleNamManyeah they expect a 10/10 absolutely perfect ending where it’s a literal perfect world or whatever. Like bro lower your expectations no one’s making shit like that except for god himself
Maybe the last straw, but it was a chain of events that began with his 1st traumatic experiences (kicked out from HS, cucked and dumped by his 1st gf and having instant bullet axed). Then him being cheated and divorced was his biggest canon event prior to having Renai Daikou axed.
most ass ending bro, like for what was the whole plot of revenge for then ,only for the main character everyone was routing for to die and some tear panels in the last ? and what is we understand at the last ? that burden yourself with guilt, anger, resentment, regret for your entire life and then die with those feelings amplified -live for others, never yourself -suicide is a good solution to protect your loved ones -have everyone you love suffer? 1:it was never about revenge. Yeah the main goal was taking down hikaru but aqua himself prioritised the people around him over his personal revenge. He was a 18 year old kid,not a fucking edgelord who only lives for revenge. 2: very surface level understanding you've got there. Bittersweet endings exist. And aka never idealised suicide. Nor was aqua stupid,he just made the best choice so no one would've gotten involved between him and hikaru.
I remember people shitting on me when i say i hate oshi no ko and dropped it. I have said since episode 1 came out, it was gonna be shit and you can tell. Welp now I don't wanna say i told you so but. I told you so
I know i'm coping here… but what if this was actually the end of the movie Aqua made… (Edit): so like next chapter starts in the movie theater and like everyone is ok… holy shit i'm coping
Some leaks are out already. If they are true, then it pretty much shows he actually died and how other characters have moved on. The last page should be Ruby leaving the house, just lile both her and Aqua did on episode one
Dude this was my cope for a while. I wanted to believe that oh he big brain his passing away to frame him more and at the end reveal that was part of the movie. And aqua can have his happy ending finally but nahhhhh

I feel like the people bitching on the internet about the author was going to put the bro/sister together so much that the editors told the author not to do that anymore. So the author said fuck it I will just rush the ending with a garbage ending that doesn’t make sense.🤔
If they come out and say that, I will be more empathetic because even if it was a path that would have seen much controversy, I would have supported it nonetheless. A full blown incest ending would have been more palatable than this bullshit

rather than trash ending, its just not spectacular endings compare to the bulk of the story. Tomodachi game wasnt close to the popularity of Oshi no Ko which is also a reason why nobody cared whether the ending was great or not. When you become this big of a show, theres alot of pressure and expectation on a great ending. Even AOT for some time, fans were complaining about the ending. Then it got adapted and everyone kind of felt "you know what, maybe we were too hard. This was actually a good ending."
Real, like I memorized every word of the songs, learned the dances, fought comment wars, drew the characters, learned the themes just for this. I gonna cry this is so sad. I WASTED my time.
@@disalazarg I really dont know what to think of this. At least for how its going now... its going to end prematurely? Or with Thorfin´s death and Einar carrying on? I really can´t tell... But to tell you the truth, this discourages me a bit. It reeks of rushed ending. Hope that I am wrong.
One thing I’m sad about is we did not get to see another crossover of love is war and Oshi no ko I wish in the final chapter some characters from love is war appeared in the final chapter. I’m kind of sad and disappointed that we did not get to see another crossover man 😔
A terrible ending and poorly written message to the story. There are better ways to write tragic endings that have logic meaning to it but in this case, all I see here is a "half baked" story with poor ending writing to it, as if Aka completely stopped caring and just wrote anything to find its conclusion. With that being said, I wonder if Mengo will ever want to do work on another project with Aka. A big disappointment to fans and reader
I swear if the ending to Blue lock gets messed up I might actually stop reading manga. JJK had an ass ending but the anime will most likely make it better. But blue lock the anime would make the ending worse. I know mangakas try their best but it’s just sad to see all of these ending getting butchered.
At this point, I wouldn’t mind if Aka makes crow girl do some random magic bullshit to reincarnate Aqua and show him what the effects he had on the people in his life would’ve been (Chp 165 and 166) And asks him if he wants to make a different choice, turning back time and spawning him back 10 Chapters back (time travel wizardry) and idk announce another volume for a more satisfying ending. It would be a complete contradiction crow girl’s saying of ai being dead permanently and does add time travel bullshit but that would honestly be a better ending than this
Let’s be real Chibi, the way Aka has written this final Arc, up until after Chapter 154 (which was the BEST Chapter in the series) and onwards, I’ve ACTUALLY seen AI Text Generators make a BETTER ending then whatever in GODS name this was!!! And given how I am COMPLETELY against AI, that is actually saying a LOT, And it just Pi$$e$ me off that I’m having to say this!!! I mean he literally had a Perfect way to wrap everything up in a pretty Bow tie and Call it a Day, But then he COMPLETELY Butchered it right at the finish line!!!
I can say definitely why he gave up. He wanted to end Oshi no Ko earlier because he wanted to focus on his new work. He agreed to extend the work. However, his new work got axed earlier this year. Ever since then, he gave up on Oshi no Ko out of spite.
@@JB-qu8pv it wasn’t that. Aka is bitter that his newest work got the axe. He decided to write an ending just to spite us for not supporting his axed work.
This would’ve been a much better ending for Oshi no ko Aqua wakes up in the hospital right next to Ruby and Miyako they start crying and are really happy that Aqua finally woke up kana and others are really happy that Aqua is fine after that, they all go outside to give Aqua some time to rest then, the crow girl appears in Aqua’s hospital room and she tells Aqua she was the one who saved him with her god powers she tells aqua, do not throw away your life. I gave you a second chance in life You are now surrounded by people that care about you you are more loved in this life then you were in your previous one do not throw all of that away, cherish your new life do not throw away your new life after telling this to Aqua, The crow girl disappears forever hours later Aqua and Kana are talking with each other then Aqua asked kana on a Christmas date Kana is of Cours shocked after hearing this but she accepts it then, finally on Christmas Eve, Aqua and Kana go on their Christmas date they both have a good time together by the end of the date Kana confesses her feelings to Aqua she tells aqua she loves him then Aqua suddenly kisses Kana then they both start dating they tell everybody the good news that him and Kana are now dating and aqua tells Ruby that they cannot be together in this life because they are now siblings. He apologizes to Ruby, but Ruby excepts it she excepts that or an aqua cannot be together in this life, because they are now siblings then finally Aqua kana and Akane go see Ruby‘s big performance at the dorm they all cheer on Ruby and mem Cho Aqua is really happy and also cries a little bit that his sister finally achieved her dreams Aqua cheers on Ruby and they all have a very good time The final scene is Aqua Ruby Kana Akane mem Cho Miyako and Ichigo are at Ai grave and aqua finally calls Ai mom all of them give their final goodbyes to AI and Aqua, and Ruby are finally able to move on from their mother‘s death and they all say goodbye to AI 🤩 this would’ve been a much better ending than the one we got
It's all the damn hiatus he kept taking every other week. There was so much potential here. Then we got like a month of filler BS. I am so disappointed in him cause he had what could have been a masterpiece but fumbled it worse than the new York Yankees did game 5 of the world series. If it gets completely adapted to anime I hope they change the ending
Maybe that's Tsukuyomi's actual power: retconning the lives she favored, but she has to see the story through before rewriting parts of the scenario so they can get a better ending. Or maybe I'm coping
I don't think that after Bleach's original ending and the now overwhelming success of the TYBW anime, that Shonen isn't trying to move these manga endings over to anime studios to fix. I mean, JJK, MHA and now that best revenge story since Monster. I doubt it's coincidence.
I think it something else. I think it the manga authors are thought that the ending they did was a good ending even though it makes no sense in to the characters or the story. Or could be the editors might be involved and had a bad idea that had a hand in ruining the stories.
This kind of tragic ending is probably one of the worst executions of it. Every tragic ending with Cyberpunk, Akame ga Kill, Devilman Crybaby or etc has meaningful ending, the reason for doing so, and a lesson. This shit is just straight-up pointless. There were countless other ways to send Aqua away meaningfully but he did not, because he did not give a shit. I am so disappointed because Kaguya-sama is my favorite romance manga but I will never ever read from this author again. No matter how much you feel about the story, you as an author have a duty to your fans to give this story justice (not making everyone happy, but teaching a lesson through your story). What was the fucking point of this story? Revenge is good, suicide is good, leaving your loved ones good and they will forget about you. Ruby supposed to be better than Ai, but she got it so much worse than her mother. I fucking hate this story and this author. Thanks that at least I read Kaguya before reading this
12:00 It would have been great if this was all dream created by Crow Girl for Aqua to see before committed this dumb plan. I was hoping for something like that but nope. Crow Girl is the most useless character I ever seen in a series. Whenever people are watching season 3 of Oshi no Ko none of fandom will care about Crow Girl anymore.
I think the plot points themselves are fine, but it’s the way they are portrayed that’s not. If aqua had to die to stop his father then that should be his last resort not the first. The search into kamiki’s past should be a mini arc where we find out what he did (it would be even better if after Ai died every 30 to 40 chapters we hear of another tragedy, and then it’s revealed that 70% of it is kamiki’s doing. I don’t remember if kana said she would slap aqua if he died but I think that’s going a bit to far. Chapter 166 isn’t out yet so I am basing this of wat you said about it. Ruby saying she’s fine is alright but she eventually needs to brake down like Aqua did in the Tokyo Blade arc. Doing so would make the part after Ai’s death Aqua’s story and after Aqua’s death Ruby’s story. TLDR. We should at least get 1 or 2 more arcs if it wants to end well.
To me the final chapters are very Akane centered. I wanted to see more of Ruby's POV and I don't think the idea of the ending itself was flawed but the execution was.
It's not even Akane centered & more like she being a plot device again bec all she do just exposition about what ppl around Aqua reaction to his death.
imo we shouldnt trust and support this author anymore. what makes us think he wouldnt just rush thru the endings of his future mangas when he eventually feel bored/uninterested? all the time and emotional investment we placed into oshi no ko only results in us getting pumped and dumped. this year is truly the year of shit manga endings. i pray that the anime will have a different ending.
@ratedr7845 i think u misunderstood my point. my point is, this author has showed that he will absolutely rush the ending because he is "bored" and "uninterested". so we all should be weary b4 fully investing time and emotion into his future mangas. reading comprehension is real tough these days
It's shocking how bad these manga endings could be. As a gamer who experienced amazing endings back to back over the last two years, I'm very dissatisfied and also disappointed because of the shift present in these stories.
Yup, I've decided to skip the rest of the anime now. I've had my fill of series derailing. Imma keep myself to series that swem safer in that regard now.
I wouldn’t say it’s bad. It’s nice that there’s a revenge manga that isn’t going to give their MC the easy way out and have the main antagonist die with zero repercussions. The problem is that we like Aqua and we like the rest of the characters so seeing the final chapters end in this way really sucks for us. We wanted nothing more than these characters to find happiness but instead they are all having their hearts and souls crushed. This might be the way the story _should_ end but it’s not the way we wanted it to end.
You can sense the spite in this ending. I often said that at some point, he lost the ability to give a fuck about the series and just want to finish it quickly. It's as if, he did this intentionally to insult us or something.
This is the kind of spite I'd felt from a western writer that ruins franchises for their political points. Here it's weird that it's from the mangaka himself. And still i felt no sorry for him
Well, maybe if the final chapter comes out, it will tell that it happens weeks, months, or years as it could be timeskip. After all, Akane mentioned what happened after Aqua's death.
1:42 - Well, I can understand Akasaka's POV as well. Artists (in any subfield) would most likely "break" eventually because of the immense demand of the community the more your franchise grows. I would know this because I myself have lost the passion and motivation I used to have while making content (since I first started), it hurt more since it was the only major passion I ever had, however I once _lived_ for it. It can be a scary thing. You have to be prepared in advance for any pressure and commit for the long haul despite all of the insanely high standards people might have that stand in your way the more you put yourself out there. And from what I've interpreted in many discussion videos about 'manga/anime endings', being a little unprepared seems to be the case. Not unprepared in the story sense, as I said it's more about demand. Therefore, I can empathize with the mangakas. We need to remember that not everything is perfect, but that's okay! You don't need to make perfect art to have it be enjoyable.
I'll be honest here Chibi, in my opinion the endings of mangas rn aren't truly bad, they're just mid. They're not horrific, but mediocre at best. They could have done the endings of their stories better but, I have a feeling they wanted to wrapped it up either for the better or worse. Idk if due to he's working on a new series the reason Aka wanted to finish Oshi no Ko already but then again it's just a presumption of mine.
A badly executed ending will ruin the story and this is a good example as far as I am concerned (the main character dying and a tragic ending for everyone is imo not the problem if it was written well).
Sorry man, they're not mid, they're straight up trash, I did not spend years waiting weekly for each chapters to be released just for these mangas to end like that. I don't get why people just don't admit it. Are you guys afraid of heavily criticizing medias you love or something? These endings go against the core of their journey why are you guys fine with this, even being generous and calling them average instead of trash that they are? Mangakas, editors, shueisha, whoever you can blame for, should respect the audience and their precious time. We as audience are fine with mangakas taking several breaks just so they could make their crafts good, and yet this is what they gave us. I am not fine with these endings, I am not gonna call them mid and call them garbage as they are. Author literally has time to play Apex. If the author can make some free time for gaming, why not make some free time to think things through when it comes to writing? No excuses
crow girl: Once Kana get over you, she can just marry some random guy like Melt Aqua: (falls on his knees) No! I want her to remember me for at least the next 10 years!
I can't believe that even ONK doesn't even have a perfect ending...are mangakas ALLERGIC to happiness or what?!!...after this i am like WHY R U LITERALLY trying to make ONK a tragic show when its literally not!!??..its understandable for tragic and dark shows like AOT,JJK and MHA to not have a happy and good ending as they are complex and dark...but still except AOT others like JJK AND MHA have the LAMEST ending possible they could've been better!!...but man a show like ONK doesn't even have a happy ending!!??...its literally sick at this point!!..
This was literally what i did not want to happen and some people agreed with me that it would be straight ass. Aqua dies when it could had been so easily avoided with so many other alternatives and just made him look like an idiot, i literally felt nothing while he sank into the ocean which i don't think Aka was going for. The crow girl is some kind of goddess that reincarnated him before and suddenly decided not to intervene and let him die. Everyone found out about his death from the TV news, what..? Kana went and slapped a dead mans corpse and somehow didn't get kicked the fuck out from the funeral. Ruby went boohoo from what felt like a mere seconds before she immidetely moved on and got successful thanks to Ai and Aqua's sacrifices, i literally couldn't give less of a damn about Ruby after this as she has done absolutely nothing of use.
Yeah we could have gotten two more arcs just out of the cat and mouse game with Kamiki, and stuff like Akane having her own plans to stop Aqua with Aqua having counterplans, and Kana finding out what's going on and Aqua having to deal with the unique scenario that poses. All wasted...
I'm just hoping the anime changes the ending, hope entirely, but with Aqua not dying and learning that he is precious to his friends and family is enough. Since Aka doesn't care about the quality of his manga, let Doga Kobo do justice to this series. It's unbelievable with how much disinterest this ending was made.
Damn, I hope renting a girlfriend has a worse ending now. Imagine in the future being able to say how ass the endings of JJK and MHA compared to renting a girlfriend. It will be peak watching it unfold if it does.
Well gotta to keep the audience in mind. Rent a girlfriend has a cuck audience. So tbe worst possible ending is a harem end where all the girls end with mc.
🤣🤣🤣 Rent a girlfriend ending now that is funny, the first line of my will will be for one of my descendants to visit my grave to tell me what happened in the end.
Burnout is a horrible thing and it hurts a lot when you are invested in the work (im still hurt from AOT) Im not saying he couldnt kill Aqua just dont make him stab himself, make it that Hikaru escaped and was going to kill Ruby but Aqua fights him and manages to knock him out but gets stabbed, you recreate the scene with Ai but this time he manages to save his idol(Ruby)
This Ending is trash. And is NOT because the Bad Ending or Aqua's death. Nier Automata 1.1a have an bad Ending and Emotionally painful much more better in a thousand ways. Oshi no Ko Lost Lost himself in the story after bringed back Kamiya Kamiki AFTER his remdeption. The true speech of Ai Hoshino Talking to Aqua that she loves Kamiya for real in the DVD, was MEANINGLESS. 🙁
I really hope in the anime, they add extra scenes to make it even better just like how the attack on Titan enemy had an extra scenes to fix the manga and make it even better not great, but better than the manga I’m waiting for the same thing to happen in the anime of Oshi no ko 🤩
And what's funny is that: 1. Kadokawa reported that Oshi No Ko's their highest selling franchise during April-Sept; which makes sense because the anime was happening during the summer. Ironically, the anime is the only part of OnK that's selling. 2. Kana & Akane are getting their own spinoff & Aka's supervising the story.
Waiting for the fanfic writers... I'll be making alternate ending art! (I'm currently studying the Oshi no ko art style) Artists and writers, assemble and collab!!! 💥
Make Kana's last conversation with Aqua a full-on confession or make Aqua leave the door open when Ruby confesses her love for him, maybe both. That would proably change his plans drastically, especially when Akane doesn't know about it. If you want to retain Aqua's death, please write a whole arc for them on how they would overcome it, the orginal's badly rushed.
Damn the leaks of the final chapter are out? I know these few chapters have been back to back ass but I had some copium something good would happen and now its kinda gone from the first few seconds of this video 😭
😂 This is why I tell everyone who isn’t from 🇯🇵 to stop buying manga/anime for series that haven’t finished yet because they have said themselves the companies only care about 🇯🇵 readers/buyers of the products. So when the manga/anime ending are shit people outside of 🇯🇵 won’t feel angry.😂
Aka really just wanted to end. It became clear when Kamiki asked Aqua what crimes he committed, when everything he did was to just be friends with Niino and Ryosuke. Completely ignoring the fact that he admit like 10ish chapters ago that he killed Ai for petty reasons. Like????
At his last moments as he was drowning, Aqua said it himself, that he wanted to live. So that changed happened within him and it just makes his eventual demise even more beautifully tragic. But overall I'd prefer the generic ending of mc ending with one of the female heroines. Edit: Incest = Wincest
No wonder his wife divorced him. OnK is Aka’s revenge against married couple. I agree with Chibi: he clearly wanted to do an AquRuby ending. What was the point of chapters 150 and 163? Aqua finally understood that Gorou’s feelings are his but nothing comes out of it The kiss? Never addressed Marriage promise? Never addressed Keychain? Irrelevant Crow girl ? Useless… No, it’s inaccurate, she’s evil. Sarina and Gorou should have remained dead. They barely interacted in 160 chapters. I at least expected Aqua’s soul to communicate his feelings to Ruby before dying. But Aka didn’t want to anger the Kana fans because she’s the money maker. OOC Ruby becoming Ai 2.0 and moving on is 🚮 Aka should’ve gone full tragic ending and killed Ruby after the dome concert. At least it would make sense
What you said at the end is exactly what happened I believe. Same with Isayama and AoT. And other mangas. Editors and other people demand you to change the stories to avoid controversy, especially when it involves controversy that might hint at truths hidden from real human history.
The phenomenon of Mangaka fumbling their endings has to be studied, we say the same things every single ending, they can’t all lose love for their series or say FUCK IT and decided to just make it shit, idk if it’s the stress or the fans that make it so terrible that they don’t wanna do it anymore or what but literally the only show/manga thats ending was good in the last decade was Mob Psycho 100
I expect its due to how the Manga industry works. They get in with a lot of passion and energy for what is basically their hobby and job, which then slowly gets eroded removing the hobby part leaving only the job. In the past when writing a novel was not enough to support a person it was a pure passion project so the Authors took a lot of care with their work. Recognition a lot of the times took time to get and generally the story was finished by the time it really got popular (ofc there were exceptions). Nowadays you can explode in popularity very quickly due due to the internet and that will bring pressure onto the writer to extend the cashcow that the story became as much as possible, which is very likely to lead to either writing themselves into a corner (as far as the targeted ending they had initially is concerned) or them losing the passion for the work. Hell there have been cases of Artists destroying their work for one reason or another in the past, so it does not surprise me (hell who knows how many artists out there were making something good and then abandoned it due to reasons).
I honestly believe that this ending would have worked somewhat better if there was at least one more story arc where Kamiki tried to ruin Aqua and Ruby's lives to the degree where Aqua's actions here would have been seen as the least bad option. Perhaps Kamiki would have tried to pull strings to have the 15 year lie film's distribution limited or pulled entirely. Thus, he torments both of the twins by ensuring they cannot leave that past behind as long as he is alive. Their agony would compound when news of this issue spreads and creates a media storm, resulting in public voyeurism dwarfing what they have seen before. Professionally, their careers would be tarnished having made a film that wouldn't even be released with an "incestuous" kiss between the leads who are known to be brother and sister. Accusations of hypocrisy and profiting from the death of their mother add fuel to the flames. Only after all that, with motivation to at least save Ruby's idol career, does Aqua take the risky plummet with Kamiki into the abyss (after having used gloves cause him not using any here was stupid). However, that is just me spitballing. There are far more details to consider that I haven't bothered to touch on largely because, now, it doesn't matter. What's done is done, and we all have to accept it as it is. I guess I wanted to share what my hopes were for the general direction of the finale. Not only am I disappointed, but I am sorrowful that this could have been so much more...
I got into this series with the really good anime last year. I binged all chapters available at the time and was impressed. I was so invested in all of these characters too with the series quickly becoming one of my favourites. Then after chapter 157 it all went to shit… I feel just disappointment and emptiness with this ending.
If someone was leaking my content during the end of a masterpiece I would also give up on it. Cuz what’s the point why. What you have created suddenly get leaked before you even release it. Why even try anymore if the surprise of the story completely gets leaked at a major point. And that’s before Aqua even died. Not saying this is what happened. But there’s a big chance that it could be. This why I hate leakers. Cuz how would you feel if you make this amazing story and suddenly everyone knows what you were about to give to the people before you even published it. Someone on the inside needs to be crucified cuz I feel like that’s the main reason why he said f*ck it! Cuz honestly I never ever say any leaks until about the last 15 chapters. I’m not happy about this ending. But I don’t see Aka just giving up for no reason. Something happened recently and he just threw his hands up in the whole thing.

So true
I agree with chibi the mangaka clearly wanted to do rubyxAqua ending and was denied so their passion was gone and they ended the series early.

Pretty much this
Feels like Tomodachi Game is the only long haul manga that pulled off a good ending this year.

I think kana said it in a conversation. I mean she kept her word😂
She saw that people where saying that JJK and My hero where the worst and she said bet😂
Aka is a dude
imo we shouldnt trust and support this author anymore. what makes us think he wouldnt just rush thru the endings of his future mangas when he eventually feel bored/uninterested? all the time and emotional investment we placed into oshi no ko only results in us getting pumped and dumped. this year is truly the year of shit manga endings. i pray that the anime will have a different ending.
People like you are why they half ass their manga at the end
@ratedr7845 i think u misunderstood my point. my point is, this author has showed that he will absolutely rush the ending because he is "bored" and "uninterested". so we all should be weary b4 fully investing time and emotion into his future mangas. reading comprehension is real tough these days
@ratedr7845 plus, i didnt do shit at all lol, and the manga still turned out with a half ass ending. u are making no sense lmao.
@@ratedr7845you should be rated as dumbass 😂
It's shocking how bad these manga endings could be. As a gamer who experienced amazing endings back to back over the last two years, I'm very dissatisfied and also disappointed because of the shift present in these stories.
Yup, I've decided to skip the rest of the anime now. I've had my fill of series derailing. Imma keep myself to series that swem safer in that regard now.
I stay bless everyday that haikyuu managed to have such a fantastic conclusion in this day and age because my god 😂
And still i felt no sorry for him
If that's the case we should do a revolution of some type to change the ending
Well, maybe if the final chapter comes out, it will tell that it happens weeks, months, or years as it could be timeskip. After all, Akane mentioned what happened after Aqua's death.
Gonna call this as a meme: "The last Arc of Oshi No Ko doesn't exist."
Reference to Usagi Drop where the manga doesn't exist.
wdym bruh it seriously doesn't exist how is it a meme if its true
@@RkWasTaken yea sorry, im just seeing things. The manga doesn't exist. Just like the ending of Oshi no Ko

@UndisclosedAcc what the hell is a oshi no ko? This is a jjk video dawg 🙏🙏
Nah theyre trash
Imagine you wanna score A on your toughest exam, but you scored F,and being happy with it.
That's what's the endings are in a nutshell recently
A badly executed ending will ruin the story and this is a good example as far as I am concerned (the main character dying and a tragic ending for everyone is imo not the problem if it was written well).
@@xnortheast1106iş drak ending tho that all but have nice day❤
Sorry man, they're not mid, they're straight up trash, I did not spend years waiting weekly for each chapters to be released just for these mangas to end like that.
No excuses
crow girl: Once Kana get over you, she can just marry some random guy like Melt
Aqua: (falls on his knees) No! I want her to remember me for at least the next 10 years!
Just imagine Aqua is watching all of his harem get piped by different guys.
😂😂😂😂

Serious question: When was the last time you enjoyed the end of a manga?
If there’s one thing that I hate about Anime/Manga, is that their endings tend to be straight up ass, or just non existent.
The ending of fire force because of the universe it leaked to and the fact that it was a prequel.

Ruby after growing old enough would not have job though. Bro sacrificed himself for no reason
21:38 is that Diablo playing in the background?
Yeah we could have gotten two more arcs just out of the cat and mouse game with Kamiki, and stuff like Akane having her own plans to stop Aqua with Aqua having counterplans, and Kana finding out what's going on and Aqua having to deal with the unique scenario that poses. All wasted...
The author got his other shit series cancelled😂
The ending really wasn’t that bad similar to AOT the ending wasn’t bad but it wasn’t a happy ending most people were looking forward to.
It won't!!!! This is NOT the early 2000's
@MatthewLoh-ru1mw Let me dream, man. The only thing this ending has to offer is for you to wish for a better ending. This literally has no soul
Unless Aka changes his mind and fixes the ending. Nothing will change.
Oh boy, here we go again with the anime original endings
@@MatthewLoh-ru1mwSee the example of Susuka and that's not early 2000s or should we mention the forgotten sola anime from 2007?
Thank you Oshi no Ko for saving JJK from the fate of the worst ending in 2024, I appreciate your sacrifice 😭🙏

Burnout is a horrible thing and it hurts a lot when you are invested in the work (im still hurt from AOT)
Im not saying he couldnt kill Aqua just dont make him stab himself, make it that Hikaru escaped and was going to kill Ruby but Aqua fights him and manages to knock him out but gets stabbed, you recreate the scene with Ai but this time he manages to save his idol(Ruby)
What is worse is that Ruby thinks that Aqua got killed by kamiki rather than dying, trying to save her
This Ending is trash.
This ending felt like you were trying to see the bad ending of a game and accidentally deleting your save file
I really hope in the anime, they add extra scenes to make it even better just like how the attack on Titan enemy had an extra scenes to fix the manga and make it even better not great, but better than the manga I’m waiting for the same thing to happen in the anime of Oshi no ko 🤩
Doga Kobo: Wanna bet?
The worst ending of early 2024 vs the worst ending of late 2024
And what's funny is that:
Bruh what

@Samsapopin, wait is that true that there will be spin-off about Akane and Kana?
Can you give a link,please?

He didn't give up, he's trolling. He's been trolling for awhile now. lol
Aka really just wanted to end. It became clear when Kamiki asked Aqua what crimes he committed, when everything he did was to just be friends with Niino and Ryosuke. Completely ignoring the fact that he admit like 10ish chapters ago that he killed Ai for petty reasons. Like????
Me Laughing While Drinking A Cold Pepsi.😹🍺
Kana crying hurt a lot... 😢
I like edit
No wonder his wife divorced him. OnK is Aka’s revenge against married couple.
I agree with Chibi: he clearly wanted to do an AquRuby ending. What was the point of chapters 150 and 163? Aqua finally understood that Gorou’s feelings are his but nothing comes out of it
The kiss? Never addressed
Marriage promise? Never addressed
Keychain? Irrelevant
Crow girl ? Useless… No, it’s inaccurate, she’s evil. Sarina and Gorou should have remained dead.
They barely interacted in 160 chapters. I at least expected Aqua’s soul to communicate his feelings to Ruby before dying. But Aka didn’t want to anger the Kana fans because she’s the money maker.
OOC Ruby becoming Ai 2.0 and moving on is 🚮 Aka should’ve gone full tragic ending and killed Ruby after the dome concert. At least it would make sense
Yeah i divorce him too😂
I’m ready for Oshi No Ko: Brotherhood.
What you said at the end is exactly what happened I believe. Same with Isayama and AoT. And other mangas. Editors and other people demand you to change the stories to avoid controversy, especially when it involves controversy that might hint at truths hidden from real human history.
RubyxAqua was the true timeline, but the fans changed history too much so the future was re-written...
My reaction after reading this chapter including chap 166:
Why did you do that aka? You chose to be nothing?
Truly the ass of all time ending
Now you know how MHA and JJK fans felt
Idk about it being worse than MHA, but man this ending is probably the most conflicting one I’ve ever seen.
I'm actually indifferent about the ending but that aside, it's funny to me that all the ships sunk lmao
Akane is mine
