- In this special members-content preview, Adam finally gets his own Hasbro HasLab Razor Crest, and unboxes it for us in the cave! With two of these models now at Tested, we'll soon begin the long-term project of disassembling, upgrading, and painting every part of this beautiful ship and document our journey. Stay tuned for the first part of Adam and Norm's builds!

Beautiful set but it's unfortunate they often get priced well out of range of average people like me. Especially when resellers scoop them all up. Guess I'll just have to enjoy watching you customize yours Adam.

You should 3D print a carbonite miniature of yourself, paint it up and add it to the carbonite storage area in the ship!

I was beginning to worry about how long it would take Adam to find the part that fell on the floor. Luckily, he found it before it got stepped on.

I also had to get the 1/4 Neca Big Chap and the neca on the box was in Kenner font
Miss my Falcon. Somewhere along the line my lovely parents tossed it out on me. To be fair, it was used and abused for many years.

It IS a toy. Collectors are way to precious about these things.
@@lo-firobotboy7112 No, there is definitely a difference between a toy and a collectible. Collectibles are usually more fragile, are built for display, are more expensive and more detailed. If I spend a grand on something like this, I'm not letting my kids fly it around the house. 🙂
@@dpastor6631 Respectfully disagree. I worked for many years for Mattel, and still work as a freelance toy designer. I'm also a long-time Star Wars collector with a complete collection of all the original Kenner 3 3/4 inch figures, ships, and play-sets. Yes, we all love to collect them, and yes, the "Special Edition" or "Ultimate Collector Series" etc. versions are expensive a s fuck, but at the end of the day, they are all just toys. If anything, some of these collector's pieces are simply more finicky and fragile.
I used to build studio-scale replicas of Space 1999 Eagles for fans using the Mattel Eagle One as the base. I've also designed a number of Star Wars toys for different commercial clients. Many years ago I stopped feeling precious about any of them. If they break, dent or get scratched you just fix 'em or print a new package.

@@dpastor6631 You're right that there are differences between toys and collectibles. THIS is a toy. Even though it's an expensive toy, it's still a toy. That's what Hasbro make. If YOU put a different value on it, that's a you thing, but that doesn't chance the fact that this is, indeed, a toy.

Hi Adam, I love your enthusiasm opening the box almost as much as looking at the different parts of the Razor Crest (which is stunning). I love sci-fi and movies but have a rule not to break which is I can’t buy any Star Wars toys or collectibles, as I would end up broke with no money lol 😂. However this beautiful Razor Crest is very close to making me break my rule! Keep up the great work, I enjoy it immensely! 👍😁

Yes, the name Kenner means adventure to me as well. Received my first X-Wing for Christmas in 1979. It was and is still my best Christmas ever as a child that I recall. I still remember going to Mervyn's with my mom and dad on a near weekly basis to look for and pick out a new figurine. If I remember correctly my Star Wars guys cost around $2.50. Yes, the name Kenner and actually even Mervyn's will always have a place in my heart.
I can't wait to see all the different versions of this flying around in Starfield.

A awesome looking piece. While I did not get the Razorcrest I'll be enjoying my own unboxings later with Marvel's Galactus and the GI Joe Sky Striker.
I enjoy the fact that Adam has a book entitled "Embalming" on the shelf behind him, because of course he does.

Like a lot of people i'm excited to see how Adam will enhance this model. Hopefully some one will produce a commercially available lighting kit one day and i'll be brave enough to fit it to my Razor Crest.

To be fair, in some cases the picture on the box is more clear than the assembly instructions. I did exactly the same.

Had the Kenner Landspeeder and Luke Skywalker and Daft ader. All brought by my late Grandmother in the late 70's.
I am totally jealous. I can't believe that I missed out on getting one at retail...

Adam made a comment about the thrusters, and it flying. My imagination got the best me. For a moment imagined that Adam would add drones to get to to fly around, ...

i was very distracted by this moment at 4:55 when Adam unpacks "another engine cell" and a piece falls out... to the point where he realises something is missing 9:18 and every time i see him looking for it i feel like he is pantomiming and i'm here saying "it's on the ground, look on the ground!" this is an ongoing trial until 20:57 where i can give a cheer "he found it!" LOL
Hopefully we get another episode of you customizing it and putting light kit in it with closer camera shots.

This model would be a perfect candidate for animatronics and lights. If i had the time, i'd probably buy one because it's just that good, but i know that i'll buy one and never get around to it. :))
ship can be seen in the clone wars animated series episode called "bounty hunters" One of the bountyhunters a Brown version of Darth Maul but female offers Obi-Wan and friends a ride home at end of episode You see this ship in the background..Not the exact razor Crest but same model. it's also called a refresher not a toilet.. lol I'm sure you could search it on TH-cam if u really need to see that particular scene I'm talking about..I just can't add a video link without this getting taken down
