I'm really surprised at the low number of subs and views, you are very great at playing games and I love your Civ4 plays especially. I'm sure with some proper pr, this channel can take off.
The reason why some of the troops had initiative penalty is the starting week (week of idleness, 42:57). In homm5 there are special weeks that inflict various penalties/bonuses to certain troops/factions/spells etc. Would have been nice to start with the week of fire or whatever, having bonus damage to fire spells :-) Thanks for the vid, by the way!
LOL.. only part 1 and you are almost wiped out already. But it seems that Heroes V at this point, had made you a little more humble, than in your previous video. That is good.
war machines are not a bad idea tho since you lack army, ballista can deal a lot of damage on its own in the early/mid game and tent can ressurect troops so you save many troops in the early/mid game which allows you to rise stronger army and try harder fights
There's this thing about Player vs Neutral AI Ranged - somehow automated fight will always deal with them better than player would. I dunno how it does it. It makes the lowest possible losses.
18:20 that drain mana from opponent hero and gives it to your hero. It doesn't work it there isn't friendly hero (i think that they can also drain mana from units like mages but i'n not sure) 20:45 You can get random value from fountains from -1 to i think +3 39:35 For the next turn they'll have +2 defense for every tile they'll walk 44:20 You can turn off using magic in auto-battle, know you know it :p

Alternate titles for this game include: "Making you wait V" "Hero of M&M V" "I have nothing to do with these other guys V" I've been playing the HOMM 5.5 mod. Lots of good and interesting alterations, but still a WIP.
This is the worst map for exploration and in fact i hate/love it. More hate . Others good maps have few free chests to start with (2 is rare), also this is more the 1.0 style i believe, i don't like the 3.1 too much. So yea, the good maps are the maps where you explore and get reworded. Also you are playing in the harder difficulty... are you playing soft cause of the video? You are a good player, but expert mm, maybe you need to play a bit more xD

TBH heros five is my favorite out of all heros games heros 4 is alright to.. IMO

Yeah the biggest problem with this game was the outlay and the maps - nothing to do ... its like walking in small corridors

You can split your units also in tactical part of the battle ;-)

Yep I have AOW Shadow magic. It was fun for a bit but I grew tired of it. Just wasn't enough depth to the game IMO.
The second and the third part are the best. Nice to watch Chris is playing this game, but imho almost all games after 1998 are crap stuff.

Personally I think Kings Bounty is better than H5.

Yes, 3-4 seems to be ok for at least till the late game. There just doesn't seem to be much to do with all those heroes in H5.
