I don't agree with you on some of these trailers I can talk in particular about the lance because it's my weapon. Even in the 1 minute showcase it was clear the weapon had seen some big changes. Going directly into power guard from guard without passing through counter first, ability to hop and poke at the same time, addition of finisher after the 3 poke combo, carrying over perfect parry from Rise/GU now doing blunt damage, ability to do a charge out of power guard, a new attack that was either a charged attack or a new counter (it was impossible at the time to tell which from the showcase). The showcase has become less worthwhile to watch after the fact, because there are like 6 hours of footage from gamescom of the developers playing Lance on stream and from all that footage the entire lance moveset has pretty much been pieced together and is understood at this point, but at the time the lance showcase came out it was pretty exciting.
well you have done it. ive watched your channel for a long time and this is finally the one. we are reaching levels of satire where i'm no longer sure what you really think or if this video is a joke or not.
As a gunlance main, saying our new combos are "the same stuff with new animations" is insulting. Huge changes being scoffed at as an animation change with no other significance. Two charges of wyvernfire, multiple new full burst options instead of only slam/full burst. A whole combo line of full burst into wyvern fire twice. THE DRILL ATTACK! These trailers aren't for YOU because you refuse to REALLY look at what is happening.
@KW-tx6er don't really care for shelling to scale off attack. I think it does just fine with artillery and shelling levels. shelling changing to be the element of the weapon would be huge and make elemental builds actually worth it.
These trailers might be not for you, but I won't say that it's not for me or any of your viewers. There might not be weapon remake or mind-blowing system overhaul, but the trailers still did the job - For new players, as you pointed out, it gives basic introduction to each weapon - For people who only played World OR Rise, it shows how the general weapon feel is like, so they don't get a misplaced expectation - For min-maxxers, there is one or two new moves, which is enough to have them theorycraft on what it does, how to execute, and how to utilize - For fashion hunters, it shows some new weapon and armor design, and by extension, also have people speculate about what monster is in the game - For graphic enthusiasts, it shows how the game looks using real in-game footage As for the other youtubers that you watched, I don't know which video it is, so I can't comment much but, making a 15 minutes video analysis out of 1 minute of clip isn't inherently a bad thing. Sure there could be bloated nonsense in the analysis, but there could also be new insights in it. At the end of the day, if you still feel like nothing is interesting or worth getting excited for, then I'm sorry to hear that. Just don't make fun of people who did enjoy the trailer and got excited.
So because people get excited about the trailers and make reaction videos they're the ones being toxic? Not you complaining about them for whatever reasons you want to come up with?
The toxicity is the part where the single most famous MH TH-camr says bow is the favorite child and gets all the love. He said that very first thing without even watching the trailer.
Yeah brother guy is not a true fan of the series. Talks crap about ppl getting excited about the game and shits on the trailers for having nothing new like… if u actually seen the trailers there are new shit in front of our faces for experienced players
You say that the trailers aren't showing anything new but a lot of these are showing new moves and combo lines. For example the insect glaive has a new combo ender, a new aerial move and new bug combos as you see the kinsect attacking in tandem with the hunter but it's off to the side.
More examples: With most if not all "heavy" weapons, they gain an "offset" attack, knocking a monster off balance if both your and their attacks connect. Some examples are the "Rising" attacks for the GS and SA, as well as the Upswing for the Hammer. LS has a new attack combo that replaces the step slash that are only available in red gauge called "Crimson Slash," as well as a new follow-up to Spirit Helm-Breaker called "Spirit Release Slash," iirc. And you can sheath your weapon after a Spirit Thrust if you think you're going to miss. Its not hard to notice these things. These videos aren't just for new players.
I have to disagree there is significant changes to all these weapons and it may not look like it but you can definitely make long videos about each of the weapon trailers
I know it may be hard to tell from these trailers, and it's harder because you haven't been keeping up with the coverage of Wilds. But pretty much ALL the weapons have changed quite dramatically. It's not just new animations like you say. Most weapons have brand new combo routes and some even have very surprising changes to their controls. I won't go over them all cuz this comment would be a fucking essay. So just as an idea of what's really happening I'll say some stuff about charge blade. Charge blade can now DOUBLE charge phials which makes them drain when used half as much. When savage axe is activated and phials are double charged the phials actually stop draining now. You also can't immediately go into a SAED anymore. You have to either do a regular AED that now combos into a SAED, or you can do a guard point that can then lead to an SAED. Savage axe is also activated differently and now because it has the effect of extending phials is more important as a buff to sort of maintain. So yeah the trailer didn't show really ANY of what I just said. These changes will actually change how CB is played quite a bit. Trust me the weapons are very different. Albeit some more than others of course.
Can't deny, I am quite disappointed by the CB changes. It was my main, and I think I am the only who didn't like savage axe all that much? My jam was using the sword, SAEDing, and then using the charged sword to set up another SAED. I am happy for all the fans of savage axe - seems to be most people, but man, my playstyle is in shambles. Imagine the aerial IG guys are feeling the same
@@andrellnogueira Well nobody said you had to use savage axe. You can just activate it for the buff to phials, then spam the hell out of AED into SAED combos. Since the phials stay charged. If anything it means more potential SAED spam. Though I imagine since phials stick around now instead of all being used at once it will definitely reduce the need for Sword mode. You will still need to use sword mode to land those guard points though.
Monster Hunter had demos at Gamescom and PAX West. There is also 4 livestreams that can be watched on the Monster Hunter channel. That's where the good stuff is. These trailers tell very little about the actual gameplay.
>Anyone can tell there's different moves, and mechanical changes to each weapon (some more than others) just from these 1 min trailers. >"THERE'S NOTHING NEW" kek.
Yeah if you follow the coverage all the weapons have a ton of new stuff. For instance the bow, the volley isn’t the KO rocks from world, they are mini tracer arrows that can be detonated with focus mode when you don’t have any wounds on the monster and followed up into an instant dragon piercer that fires in one second. Every weapon has so many changes like this. Gunlance has a completely new set of combos and chains along with the old move set still being mostly available. Long sword level 3 gauge gets a completely new move set, has multiple new attacks and helm breaker has a crazy follow up IG has a 3 extract tornado attack that spends the extracts but the kinsect attacks with you and if you aim properly can get all 3 back in the same attack. I mean I don’t understand how you aren’t seeing this stuff.. Greatsword has a timed counter upswing that causes a knockdown All blocking weapons have a perfect guard and clash mechanic, Hunting horn gets chain reverb bubbles that do aoe explosions on all your encores, The bow guns have totally different ammo mechanics and special ammo mechanics.. You should really watch the gamescon coverage and live hunts. Switch axe has spinning axe mode upgraded and new attacks, ZSD can only be used while mounted. No more spam. I mean it goes on and on lol
im obsessed with gunlance and hammer. the GL gets a new slow exploding cut! looks like it fills in the moveset great. the new tornado hammer attack is... very exciting. played since mh1. I liked to spot the one or three new moves in each video and then go to bed with visions of giant shells searing into a rathalos scale under my dragonfeet. btw i added defense 7 to my builds and I love it. thanks, hammer to bowyer.
Even as a veteran, I can't deny I'm a little excited for it all. I do think they are more meant for up and coming hunters, but I agree with you they are going to leave the cool stuff out - isn't it always the case? MH is all about player discovery, style coalescence, variety, and such. Showing too much would remove player agency, or at least the sense of discovery.
Most of the moves in the trailer are new though....or they have big differences that only mains of the weapons will notice (evidently). When you say the trailers "aren't for us" I think you mean "aren't for me". Been playing monhun since freedom 1, these trailers got me very excited. Kind of funny how he hearts every comment. Cant tell if I'm getting baited or not.

I don't like what I see from the bow, coming from Rise-Sunbreak, I started with World and I did love it but Wilds it feels more like an evolution of World gameplay with some additions, but I'm still playing Sunbreak and I'm in absolute love with the bow, I don't think I can't go back to not have my switch skills, wirebugs, dodgebolt and so many more things we have in Sunbreak, the gameplay it's feel much faster in Sunbreak, it's really hard for me to go back to World style gameplay.
Sunbreak is too cartoonish to be true mh game. Skills are way to fast paced, even on slowest weapons. It really screws the feeling that weapons gave you before
@@LaserTractor basically I can't go back to the slow World gameplay style, I did love World, it was my entry point and I did love the realistic graphics at the time, I'll just buy Sunbreak on the PS5 and I'll start a new save of Rise but on PS5 this time at glorious 4k.

To give newer players some appreciation for this: TH-cam would POWERBOOST showing you all the videos of, "THIS IS THE FINAL BOSS OF MONSTER HUNTER 3G!" before the game even had an English-language release date, instantly spoiling a lot of the game with just a title and thumbnail. *All* of the big-name Monster Hunter TH-camrs did this and then threw the game away in disgust before it came out in NA/EU because they were "bored" of it. It was a horrible, horrible cycle that Capcom finally solved by having simultaneous global releases. 8:40 All spellcheckers conspired one day and decided to claim "trepanation" is not a word, _but we know better...!_ I did avoid trailers for World, I don't remember if I did for Rise, but after watching these as they launched, I do really like the idea of the wounding change: if the whole point of the game is hitting the same parts repeatedly for breaks, knockdowns and damage, it's an excellent and logical progression of the wound mechanic. But I really dislike how they're continuing with this "Capcom-approved SpokesTubers™" trend by bringing in some of our (least) favorite content creators to just kind of... say nothing about what they just watched off-camera. As someone who just doesn't believe the alleged expertise of some of the biggest names, having them adopted as Capcom's Golden Boys is so alienating.

But seeing the mix movement was interesting, from older games and how they took some moveset from other game which is funny to me 😅. Yeah it can just get scrap, look at mh4 first trailer still waiting for that kind of environment destruction n wall climbing...
You know, you don't have to watch these so called "Spoiler Videos". Who cares about "what's best for the audience" just enjoy the game the way you wanna enjoy it don't ruin it for yourself. You can get people into the game and help them figure it out WHEN it comes out. You don't HAVE to spoil your own enjoyment man.
This is probably the correct answer. I've seen FAR bigger changes in past iterations, and here we are waiting over three years between releases, and all we get (at least from this trailer) is reworked combos and gauges, and some new finishers.
I dont think ive every dissagreed with someone as much as with you. your takes are aweful are completely wrong. ''there is nothing to see here'' what you mean this channel ? get lost!
First time coming across this channel and guy is just rage baiting. The things he says seems like he clearly hasn’t actually watched the trailers. He must be one of these new gen hunters and if he is an OG then he is giving the rest of us a bad name
I know a lot of non-mains hate it when other users spam the move, but personally I’m sad to see the helicopter from IG go. We got cool new combos for it, but we are no longer the equivalent of a mosquito flying in the monsters face anymore
@@Pyps0403 in Rise, it actually helped a bit. Not the Helicopter move specifically, but any action done in the air adds a damage multiplier to your next attack until grounded, and this stacks up to 3 times. It makes diving wyvern a really powerful move
@@Jose_Ruiz932 yeah, I was talking specifically about World, since Wilds will be like a sequel, but I agree, I loved aerial glaive in Rise, but not the helicopter move (idk remember the name of the other switch skill)
I dont know what ran through their mind during devs meeting to include aimbot into a shotgun weapon But then removed the helicopter mode on IG because muh DeePeeEss ExDEEE
1st point: you literally choose how to spend new special bow gauge - coatings or 1 tracer shot 2nd point: Most weapons have become much more powerful with new tricks so monsters in endgame (g-rank) will totally be much stronger 3rd point: helicopter move had lowest physical and lowest elemental damage possible. Glaive is a normal ground weapon (surprise) with aerial evasion moves. In Iceborne due to nonstop helicopter spamming you could, for example, ignore 90% of velkhana moveset. And this move gave too many players a dumb idea to use glaive only in the air. Some people don't even know that IG can be a super DPS weapon if you use it on the ground.
@@LaserTractor I mean I'm not a dev so I don't have any clue on how to do it, but couldn't they have just changed the damage numbers or added something that made doing it actually feasible or useful, instead of just completely removing it from the game?

I'm looking forward to that, too! These are my first impressions. I made that EXTREMELY obviously clear to everybody. It's not a nuanced, in depth analysis. And my first impressions are...a very noncommittal "meh".
@@iixxion that's fair, plus i may have been a Lil hasty with commenting. As a long time monster hunter fan i agree with you, capcom is getting too comftable with MH and each tittle is getting worst over time. You see the problem i have is that as great as MH is the series has some glaring issues that just dont get adressed at all. As of right now gameplaywise the game is litterally just monster hunter world, monster hunter rise/outbreak really evolved the combat and flow of the game and i cant give capcom enough praise for mhrise but mh wilds looks like its going back to the boring combat style of old MH. What i want to see in monster hunter are things like giving us a different cosmetic look for armors when you reach high rank, give us monster weapons for every weapon type l, theres nothing more anoying than hunting a cool monster and then realizing capcom didnt give a shit to let you craft your weapon type from that monster. Have every armor set be viable for both ranged weapons and melee weapons. Theres so many things that they even downgraded from past tittles like having unique armor sets for ranged weapons.
agree on everything. based on these trailers, the weapons are indeed a downgrade. It's hard for me to believe that all those switch skills are just gone. THAT is why i said, this isn't the good stuff. The good stuff comes later. And if THIS is all there is, then we are in for a world of pain and disappointment.
@@iixxion like, literally as a sword and shield main i seen the weapon trailler and i was like "really????" Its literally the same reused animations with literal stiff missing from mh sunbreak. Like why would i want to play a downgraded version of what i already have???????

You're absolutely right. The vast majority of those proclaiming "huge changes" to the weapons are picking up on details that are different, but hardly revolutionary. And don't worry about the childish responses you're receiving from some of the community. Their commitment to defending every single frame of revealed gameplay will likely leave them disappointed when the game finally releases, while those with more reasonable, tempered expectations will have a much easier time enjoying the experience for what it is.

Yeah it can just get scrap, look at mh4 first trailer still waiting for that kind of environment destruction n wall climbing...
This guy is NOT an OG hunter he giving us a bad name. If he was an actual fan he would be watching the livestreams and seen all these new things.
I haven't played 1, 2, or portable 1,2,3.
You know, you don't have to watch these so called "Spoiler Videos". Who cares about "what's best for the audience" just enjoy the game the way you wanna enjoy it don't ruin it for yourself. You can get people into the game and help them figure it out WHEN it comes out. You don't HAVE to spoil your own enjoyment man.
man talk about hard to please
This is probably the correct answer. I've seen FAR bigger changes in past iterations, and here we are waiting over three years between releases, and all we get (at least from this trailer) is reworked combos and gauges, and some new finishers.
I dont think ive every dissagreed with someone as much as with you. your takes are aweful are completely wrong. ''there is nothing to see here'' what you mean this channel ? get lost!
Yet, you're here.
First time coming across this channel and guy is just rage baiting. The things he says seems like he clearly hasn’t actually watched the trailers. He must be one of these new gen hunters and if he is an OG then he is giving the rest of us a bad name
Man one of my fav MH tubers is attacking my other fav MH tuber
I know a lot of non-mains hate it when other users spam the move, but personally I’m sad to see the helicopter from IG go. We got cool new combos for it, but we are no longer the equivalent of a mosquito flying in the monsters face anymore
Ya I finally want to play IG for the first time. It was just too anime and ridiculous before.
Yeah the helicopter was kinda useless tho, I'm sure the new combos they added to make up for it will be good
@@Pyps0403 in Rise, it actually helped a bit. Not the Helicopter move specifically, but any action done in the air adds a damage multiplier to your next attack until grounded, and this stacks up to 3 times. It makes diving wyvern a really powerful move
@@7F0X7 I mean you still could. You could choose not to engage with the aerial combat, since being completely grounded is viable anyways
@@Jose_Ruiz932 yeah, I was talking specifically about World, since Wilds will be like a sequel, but I agree, I loved aerial glaive in Rise, but not the helicopter move (idk remember the name of the other switch skill)
I dont know what ran through their mind during devs meeting to include aimbot into a shotgun weapon
But then removed the helicopter mode on IG because muh DeePeeEss ExDEEE
1st point: you literally choose how to spend new special bow gauge - coatings or 1 tracer shot
2nd point: Most weapons have become much more powerful with new tricks so monsters in endgame (g-rank) will totally be much stronger
3rd point: helicopter move had lowest physical and lowest elemental damage possible.
@@niox1920 they didn't remove it. They only removed chaining it indefinetly
@@LaserTractor you sound like a bot
The only reason removing heli from IG is all about metafgging DPS, proving my point
@@MrSierra116 yeah, totally. Even better argument for your theory - I'm russian.
I like the majority of your videos, and thought process, However addmitly this kinda disingenuous approach is boring to watch. im looking forward to when your able to get some hands on experience with the weapons, and how these opinions of yours develop once your awere of all the new aspects for each weapon XoXo some random fan 😘
Compared to my typical viewing, deep diveing the wilds weapons from gamescons footage. and other people's experiences have been a huge driver for hype. and if your not has hyped as I am yet then i shouldn't be sour about it. so I apologize for any hostile vibes♥️
@@iixxion Lol you are so fucking good
People are shitting on you in these comments, but i felt the same way. Yes, you can clearly see the new moves. But visually, it would appear that all the weapons function likesame enough to world to not get me hyped. Surely they didn't show everything though.
You're absolutely right. The vast majority of those proclaiming "huge changes" to the weapons are picking up on details that are different, but hardly revolutionary. And don't worry about the childish responses you're receiving from some of the community. Their commitment to defending every single frame of revealed gameplay will likely leave them disappointed when the game finally releases, while those with more reasonable, tempered expectations will have a much easier time enjoying the experience for what it is.
you're starting to feel like a 'pick me' lately. not sure what happened 🤣
Bad video, do better next time
