    Seems the only folks still using lags are those who haven’t been made aware of the advancements in rss screws.
    If anything, the ability to skip pre-drilling is reason enough to forego lags. You’re taking twice as long for no reason and, if the cumulative time was added between two framers both constructing the average size home, I imagine the metrics on speed differential would be astonishing.
    When you can claim that you’re company can frame a home *twice* as fast due to specialty fasteners compared to traditional lags…that’s a statement means something to the average home owner, real estate entrepreneur, investor, etc.
    The cherry on top is that the majority of top of the line structural screws are to code and can’t be knocked by an auditor. Put it all together and you could almost be called foolish for still using conventional lags.
