Disclaimer : We receive a ton of emails and messages from people telling us we filmed them at the ramp this past weekend and they want to know when the video will air. This is not a question we can typically answer. We film from three or more ramps every week and have a massive back log of content and sometime it could be weeks or months after an event occurs before we air the video. We put stuff out as fast as we can but we only air three videos a week and in a typical weekend get 6-10 episodes worth of content meaning we get content faster then we can air it. Thanks for watching and just be sure to keep watching looking for your content it will air but probably not immediately after it happens!
I'm a retired Deputy Sheriff and patrolled Ohio river on the Marin Patrol division for 20 years. We had 3 marinas and I've have never seen worse boaters in my life on this channel.

Agreed. I had never seen anything like it until I got transferred to Miami and took my boat there. How they don't have a dozen fatalities a weekend is one of life's mysteries.

Jumping in the bed doesn’t help, the bouncing will decompress the suspension which takes weight off the back tires, letting them slip, much better to just keep the weight as far back and not bounce up and down

Buy a 200,000.00 boat and the cheapest vehicle to pull it if you are going to pull a boat you need a locker rear axle or a 4wheel drive
Truck was going sideways so most likely had a locker.
Everyone I know up here on the Chesapeake Bay that has a boat that large keeps it n a marina. If you can afford the boat you can afford the fees.

Northern MN here...once the tires spin in snow you are done. Breaking the tires free loses traction and momentum. Don't spin the tires is always the best advice.

Then why when pulling my 19' Four Winns out I would light up the tires and get them hot like at the drag strip. That boat was twice the size of the S10 that I had. But experience counts. I could launch or load by myself in less than 5 minutes.
A little brake will split the power across the differential
The only reason I have 4 wheel drive on my truck, is so I can get my boat up the ramp without a lot of drama.

A cool trick that works most of the time is to apply the emergency brake slightly down. This helps prevent the tires from losing traction

Doesn’t work with new electric parking brakes. They are either off or on.

Need to get some wireless microphones mounted up on the poles on the docks so we can get audio. Living in New England, we all have 4 wheel drive, so getting stuck on a ramp does not happen. Lol
Take it to a trailer shop and have the tongue weight adjusted correctly.
Just get 4wd even though u live in Florida and never need it except for the boat ramp. 😂
Wait what? Florida is like the one state I lived in where 4x4 is a must. At least in North Florida with the sugar sand.

@@fastwin493 if I had a heavy / lengthy multi engine boat I'd have it in a marina or a dry dock and not deal with the hassle of launching a big boat. I have a 2wd SUV that I launch my little 17' boat with ease.
You gotta pay to play and they are just being cheap to not do it the easy way. No truck even required.
@@boldpredictionssports do you live in Florida? Florida is probably one of the top states where u need 4x4. Unless you live in one of the big cities like Orlando and Miami. But 90% of Florida is country terrain where you need 4x4. And this is coming from someone who lived in brutal winter places like New England and Illinois. For snow, all you need is good winter or all season tires. For mud and sand which is what you get in Florida, you need 4x4. I've never heard someone used flatness in a 4x4 argument.
Also some of these guys need to buy those 4 wheeling tracks to throw in the bed.

I just bought a boat and was surprised by how bad I was at docking, especially in windy conditions and when there is a lot of traffic. I definitely need more practice.

Glad they finally got that boat up the ramp. Hydro-Sport needed to ditch using his steering wheel and use his throttles to bring that boat into the dock. He needs to better hone his boat handling skills, especially around the dock.

It absolutely does not help at all. Adding a few more people would help, though. Seemed to have been plenty around…

Why these people don't have 4 wheel drive is beyond me. When you buy boats these sizes 4 wheel drive is a must.

It’s unfortunate too, I was raised on a boat so it comes to me easily and some people think it’s easy like driving a car but so many different variables especially with larger vessels. I’d love to see the CC people in this videos slip a real boat. I’d actually pay to watch it. We have a 32 luhrs that’s pretty beamy it’s a fun time docking in a tight slip with some stiff winds

It amazes me with all the people standing on the docks, (all the time) and no one will help anyone with their boats. Must be a Florida thing. In Wisconsin, everyone helps everyone.

The Chevy trucks usually come with a limited slip ,that white one didn’t seem to have it or it wasn’t working
it never ceases to amaze me how many people with basic pickup trucks think ramping an 8000 pound boat is a simple ordeal just because on flat ground it tows fine smfh

On a slippery dock would it help if you had a few 5 gallon buckets of sand for weight in the back of your truck?
Also would it help if one threw some sand under your tires if slipping?

sand on ground would make it more slippery i imagine but weight would help for sure
I used Crusher dust, both for weight and under the wheels.
Also standing on it gave the boat shoes some extra grip, ...

If I owned a truck dealership in the Miami area, I would NEVER stock 4WD models. It's clear that the populace has NO IDEA what 4WD is for.

When you buy a 2 wheel drive pick up to haul at its max towing.
My gaze is always drawn to the design of those lamp posts. Is that to dissuade people from tying up to them?

Could have put a few buckets of sand in the bed for weight and to sand the ramp for traction. But where is a guy going to get sand in Flori-Duh anyway?
Next time im stateside im going too visit a ramp for a day of sheer free entertainment we don’t see this bollox going on in Europe
It amazes me how people don’t understand the basics of how the boat responds to inputs to the wheel and direction of the engines. They have enough money to buy these expensive boats but not enough humility to go for a delivery drive with a captain and take some pointers from him/her.

The magnitude of incompetence here is staggering. Both crews just have no clue. It’s hard to watch these videos because they’re so painful.
Forgot to raise their motors back up
We always dropped one off at the dock, he/she went and got the trailer, while we backed the boat away from the dock and the ramp and got out of everybody's way. Then when the trailer showed up and was backing in to an open spot on the ramp, we approached and trailered. Actual time taking up a ramp spot never exceeded five minutes.

I would sell my boat before I dealt with crowded ramps like that.

Why do people insist on bouncing the truck they lose traction when the truck bounces up. Either get a four-wheel drive or power it out with the motors on the boat.

For a boat that size with twins you gonna need at least a 2500, diesel preferably.
