You need a cat. It will find your leca at 3am
That sounds fun lol
I only have a couple of anthurium and one is the same as the one you have. I got it on clearance and in sad shape but it’s doing really well now. I treat them just like my orchids since they grow the same and so far that’s working for me. And except for the runners, the monstera Peru is an easy plant too.
I busted out laughing when you shared that you couldn’t find your knife! That’s me! I put down (you name it - watering can, scissors, etc. ) for a moment and then I cannot find it!
Thanks for the tutorial - as thorough as always.
It happens all the dang time lol
@@EverythingPlants I get it! With me, too! Now I make a concerted effort to be more conscious, rather than automatic, about setting things down. I have a ways to go 😝!
Rather than picking at roots to break up the soil, have you tried plunging it up and down in a small bucket of water to flush the soil away from the roots?
Yes I have tried that. I prefer the ✏️
Wow! Those roots! I really want to try anthurium!
Nice plant; it does look like the monstera Peru. Thanks for sharing Jeff!
that division went really well!
Yes....I thought so too!
I love the look of this Anthurium. In general they scare me. but you make this one seem easy to manage: Molly's Mix, No Drainage, Glass Cabinet. No special fertilizer, right? Thank you for another "how to" video, Jeff!
If you can find this one....it's a good one to start with
What do you think of mounting anthuriums like a fern or orchids? There are maybe only one or two videos by a lady but she doesn’t give a tutorial and just fast speed what she does in the video. I was wondering if you have mounted anthuriums before. If so, if you could give a tutorial about it.
A waterhose with a strong spray attachment works so well for this. And doing it outside creates so much less mess to clean up and less root breakage.
I've done this method as well....but you have to be careful with cold water as well.....either way you will most likely shock the plant lol
Thank you Jeff, a lovely healthy plant made into two 😊
I went back and watched the part where you split them. Did you let them air dry, cinnamon or charcoal. I have found air drying the best, or maybe I didn't do the cinnamon & charcoal right?
I didn't use anything to seal up the ends. You can if you want to but I've never had any issues in the past.
@@EverythingPlants Thanks!
Thank you so much !
Ah man, still waiting on prices here in my part of the world to drop so i can get my hands on one, still super pricey unfortunately.
Beautiful leaves. Thanks for giving me more plant envy 😂
That’s a pretty anthurium. I like the texture of the leaves. You can see the lux parentage.
Yes....it is a beautiful one for sure
Think maybe you left it in there too long, Jeff?
Oh definitely I did lol
Anyone know for sure if this one can be pollinated? I have heard that they cant and then heard they can so does anyone know for sure? Thanks for the video Jeff always so informative
Did it say why they couldn't??? It definitely produces pollen haha
@@EverythingPlants certain hybrids won't pollinate. It's the only one I own at the moment and wanted to try .
What mixture of soil do you use?
It is from Very Plants.....click the link in the description of this video!
Those are very easy to grow and huge leaves when they get bigger
Yup! But I don't have any more room haha
Leca drop, everywhere.
🤦
Hi, can you please tell me the name of the plant is. I fell inlove with the plant lol
hybrid of anthurium radicans and anthurium luxurians
Yes it is the anthurium radicans X luxurians!
