  • Join us on our atv adventure! We're riding to Silver City, Idaho. We rode about 60 miles total and hit some pretty tough, technical areas that pushed us to the limits of our capabilities. It was an adventure to remember!

      I've never understood why people spend thousands jacking up a truck or jeep. While ATVs aren't as cheap today as when I bought my 1st 1 there still a better option in my opinion. Cuz my factory pick up gets 12 to 14 miles per gallon in town and 21 to 23 when the quad is loaded up an rolling down the highway. When there getting 4 in town and 7 or 8 if there lucky on the highway. Both can take you to amazing places so why pay a fortune to go to the grocery store.

    AWESOME country! I just love those hills and the high desert vegetation. So beautiful!
    4:15 - I use a Garmin and a phone app also. The Garmin is almost indestructible, but hard to read & cumbersome to operate, so I started using BackCountry Navigator on an old Android phone. It's a GREAT app and so easy to use!
    6:36 - A 2" lift will be good for clearance, but not good for stability. For the type of riding you do (same as what I do), I'd just buy a better skid plate and stay low to avoid rolling over on the tippy spots - lol
    18:30 - NICE!!! I love finding old places like that. Imagine who all has been in there?
    The snowy trail through the trees after the old cabin was mint buddy!! Well . . . until you hit that sketchy rock part - lol
    That 360 cam is killer! Nice touch! Excellent job on the editing. I'm not a fan of music in ATV videos, but that's just a personal preference and you do a nice job of keeping it in the background. Not sure why I haven't come across your channel until now. I do a search on ATV videos quite often. Anyway, glad I found it. Keep'em comin'!

    Excellent video! Your ride epitomizes that exact reason my wife and I bought our first ever ATV a week ago! A CF Moto 800 XC. We're from N.C. but have a little property in New Mexico. We want to do just the kind of trail riding and exploration that you enjoyed here. Not into mud slinging and racing and that kind of jazz. And I think it's great that you're not some kind of "expert", "avid" rider. It let's people know that they can enjoy their hobby just the way THEY like to. Good job! Cheers!

    You guys ride about twice as fast as we do. Course I'm older than you guys but I've never been into the fast riding. You see more when you slow down and it'll make your atv last longer going slower. Sure, you won't cover as many miles but you;ll enjoy the scenery more. Looks like a killer ride, very scenic. Looks like a nice mix of high speed and technical too, thanks for awesome video. You mentioned a 2" lift in the future, is it necessary to buy longer axles? Cautious riding keeps you from breaking parts and getting stranded too, probably sucks to have to leave a machine out in the weeds with a break down. Looks like a nice area to camp if permitted? Standing while riding lets you see further up the trail too.

    • @RyansOutdoorLife
      @RyansOutdoorLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I won’t need longer axles. I kept the suspension fairly soft and that helps keep the axles from being at an extreme angle.

    I really hope your CFMoto continues to work for you. The reason I say that is because I went to a dealer 2 weeks ago with a set of calipers to do a bit of a build quality comparison between CFMoto, Polaris, Can-Am, and Honda. The first thing I measured was the size of the A-arm tube stock on a CF600 and compared it to the Can-Am 450 right next to it... The A-arm on the CF was at least 40% smaller than the Can-Am 450. Then I measured the frame on the CF600... then the Can-Am 450 right next to it... then the sportsman 570 a couple down from than. That's when I stopped measuring stuff and told myself I was never going to by anything from CFMoto. There's a reason they cost less. Don't believe me? Grab a set of calipers and head to a dealership!

    • @RyansOutdoorLife
      @RyansOutdoorLife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Well, based on my real world experience, they are absolute beasts. I put 1400 super tough miles on my CFmoto 500 (rolled it at least 5 separate times) and didn’t have one single issue with it. From my and others experience on all the groups I’m part of, they don’t seem any more prone to problems than any other brands and still cost significantly less. My experience after owning three cfmotos for 4+ years. And a total of more than 3000 miles between all of them.

Ben’s driver front tire didn’t stuff into the finder as it should have to keep level. The lack of suspension travel creates tipping. It’s like driving a brick.

Ill have to check this trail out and make a trip of it. I also dont think you need to use the low range and 4x4 as much as you do, not that it really matters. But sometimes you forget to take it out and it can be hard on the machine.

    I’m from the area this video was made. I’ve been on all the trails shown here. It is a super fun ride but everyone needs to understand, stay out when it’s muddy. It is clay soil out in the Owyhee mountains and it ruins the trails when people ride when it is muddy. There are ares out there where people have gone off trail and ruined the area because they went to early in the season trying to avoid snow drifts , or after rain storms. If that continues the BLM is going to start closing trails because people are being irresponsible. Please respect the land and trails and don’t ride at inappropriate time and ruin it for everyone else! Side note: I’ll let it slide that these guys are riding on Can-AMs. Polaris or nothing! LOL

      @@RyansOutdoorLife but your video is super awesome absolutely awesome I really enjoy it I watched twice and I share it to my two friends who rides with me in Utah. The music is only annoying at the beginning of the video than you put better more enjoyable music that we can hear the engines and talking and so relax music that goes with the beautiful Ecenary

      Thanks, I appreciate it! I've gotten a lot of feedback about the music. Next big ride we do, I'm gonna go with minimal music, or none at all.

    I subscribed to your channel because I love off roading and Idaho, but you’re on probation. The camera work is passable but you need to quit being such sissies. If you don’t man up I’ll have to insist that you shave off the beards.🤷🏻‍♂️
