Stuck in the snow | Idaho backcountry winter ATV ride

- Today we started near Reynolds creek, past Hemingway Butte and made our way up into the Owyhees. The snow was deep and crusty and we got stuck quite a bit! Never ride alone in the winter.

Most everyone I ride with in the snow, has a set of tires with snow machine picks in them.....Looks like a great ride spot.
What are snow machine picks?

Oh and Ryan when you get stuck you can go a step on the snow in front of you to create a path for your fourwheeler

I have the Overland as well and she is a bit of a porker. The smaller machines glide over the snow better than a 1k pound behemoth. Still looks like fun.

What air pressure were you running? With your bead looks, you can go WAY down in pressure. I never run more than 5 psi. In the deep sand and snow, I’d drop down to 1-2 lbs or less.
How many mile you have on your Overland now. Picked mine up a couple months ago and it’s been great so far.
Probably between 400 and 500. I love it!
What trail navigation are you using on your phone?
Why wouldn't the smaller and lighter machine be loaded onto the front of the trailer, with the heavier machine directly over the axles for better trailering?
And those mud tires are like snow shovels in snow digging you into a hole. You want floatation from an all-terrain tire - your buddy's tires look more suited.
Also, can't keep the volume up to hear your engines and hear anything you're saying without the annoying music turning me off.
I know this is an entirely negative comment. Still like watching you guys explore though.
Where the atvs are located on the trailer makes very little difference to the 3500 ram. And they’re not all that different in weight. But yeah, I guess the optimal way would be how you described.
100% agree about the tires. They were terrible snow tires. I’ve since upgraded to Maxxis Carnivores and they’re way better in the snow (and all around). I’ve gotten the music comment quite a bit. Next video won’t have any music. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

Ok thanks! My buddies and I ride with are from the twin falls area so every year we are planning trips and new places to go ride/see and like seeing the cfmoto content since I'm considering upgrading from my polaris 450 and not willing to give an arm and a leg for some of them.
Noticed comments about music ….I think the key is volume …IMO anyway. Too many vids turn the music up way too loud. I’d reduce the volume …regardless of what music a person likes . Nice vids though. Can’t please everyone.
