Seeing so many people say Sidney is their favorite final girl in the comments makes me so happy. Sidney Prescott nation rise up
By far my favorite final girl, hands down.
She’s THE best
She is the best and honestly the moment she wasn’t in the top tier I was instantly out. It doesn’t make sense her issues with Sidney and the Scream franchise
First and last and always
Only came to the comments to ride for Sydney
Sidney Prescott is my favorite final girl she pushes through her trauma in each movie, she becomes progressively more badass with each movie, in the third one she fights her trauma so what does she do helps other women who are going through traumatic events. I love her sm and when it comes to Laurie strode if you take out the new Halloween movies and just talk about the original she doesn’t do anything she’s a good character but doesn’t do anything but that’s my opinion I would’ve put her in iconic.
hard agree on this.
I think Jamie Lee Curtis as a final girl is iconic. She's had many great final girl roles in horror movies. But Laurie Strode the character in Halloween isn't as super iconic herself as someone like Sydney. But Jamie Lee Curtis the actress IS
@@RandomNirvanaSXE yes totally agree with you on that
Objectively, Laurie doesn’t do much in the first movie but continually drop her knife. She definitely was more badass/thoughtful in the first sequel, but she was also injured and limited. If we’re going by the first movie only, considering the times, she’s an icon, but not an idol.
@@the_petty_crocker she doesn’t become an idol until H20 cause that’s when she actually fights back against Micheal. Like it’s more believable that she’s traumatized of Micheal in the original timeline since she was attacked twice and saw more people die around her compared to Laurie in Halloween 2018 who only saw Micheal once and for some reason was waiting for 40 years to kill him.
I love Nancy because of how creative and innovative she gets with her plan to kill Freddy and the scene where she realizes what will actually kill him is so iconic! "You're nothing. You're shit." The way Heather Langenkamp delivers that line is amazing.
Same she's smart
SAME!! While I can't really give a *favorite* final girl, Nancy Thompson is 100% up there for me specifically because of her plan in the first Nightmare installment & how well Ms. Heather Langenkamp delivered the performance!
This, so much. Nancy fought back physically, mentally, and spiritually. She plotted and planned and outthought Freddy. She was the first to put the pieces together and made the choice to pursue him to protect herself and avenge Tina. Way more badass than Laurie. Nancy is not only an icon, she’s a freaking legend.
@@the_petty_crocker that was my favorite thing - she fully outsmarted a homidical semi-real sleep demon! The badass moniker is 100% deserved
@@jamiec3372 Absolutely. Nancy was hardcore in Dream Warriors, too. She had no fucks to give and was always putting herself first in the line of fire to protect those kids. She had no stake in it by that point; she was free of him and could have walked away. She fought hard and deserves all the recognition.
When i read the title the first person i thought about was Sidney… it’s insane to have her only on icon tier bc i think for a lot of people she is the definition of final girl
She is my fav final girl.
She is the most realistic and the best final girl to me (maybe im bias because Scream is my top 1 horror franchise lol)
She definitely is the definition of a final girl. She puts up a good fight and still gets her butt kicked from time to time while dealing with family issues and trauma. I just think the person in the video is probably not a fan of the character and that’s why she didn’t rank her higher
I know that she's never been a huge fan of Scream, no I'm not surprised that Sid was ranked lower than top tier. However, Sidney is THE final girl lol.
Summer Raine I’m a huge fan of scream and don’t understand they Sidney hype
it so sad that people always forgot miss Wendy Torrance from The Shining. she is the ultimate final girl and the heroine we didn’t know we needed.
She’s not much of a final girl as there isn’t much victims in the movie. She’s more of a hero type thing
@@Goblin10101uh, if you survive a horror movie then you’re a final girl imo.
also RIP shelly duval
Sidney easily has to be the best final girl. We see her character develop massively from movie to movie. She's a bad ass, Neve Campbell plays the character so incredibly well and we see her push through her trauma without backing down. She's not just a final girl... she's an inspiration
Agreed, I love her so much
Yesss!she deserves to be in the “idol girl” section :/ Sidney is inspiring
I honestly find her character development soooo well done and believable from movie to movie.
Agreed. Her character development is key. She evolves into a bad ass. Idol status all the way.
@@Jessfrogger88 it’s the most believable you can get
justice for Nancy! 😂 she brought the fight right to Freddy and was ready to fight her boyfriend, her daddy and her mama to take Freddy down! Nancy is for sure an idol girl 👏🏿👏🏿
one thing i love about nancy is in the first movie, she waits for freddy to come to her, but it's to kick his ass. she pulls him out of the dream world, having booby trapped the fuck out of her house and turns the tables on him.
which is not something that can be said for most of these final girls.
they kinda just hang out, waiting for their friends to get picked off, and they do 1 or 2 clever things and sorta get lucky.
What this video taught me: we need more Black and brown final girls in horror.
Absolutely! The only one I can think of is Brandy from I Still Know What You Did Last Summer
🙄 why does it always have to come down to this?
@@JackerySnaxxx Because as Jada Pinkett said in Scream 2, "the horror genre is historical for excluding the African American element". A quote that rings true to this day.
And Asian final girls too 😁
Don't forget Jada Pinkett was a final girl too in Demon Knight (Tales from the Crypt). One of favs.
I have to fight for my Girl Nancy, she should have got Icon atleast. She literally took Freddy to his own Hell.
In my opinion Helen Shivers was far more suitable for final girl status in I know what you did last summer. Sarah Michelle gellar just gave so much personality to her character
I just commented this but realised it was already posted. She would’ve been an idol girl had she survived. Luckily we have Buffy where she survives the horror blonde trope!
I love Jennifer Love Hewitt but this is an interesting point
At least we got to see her survive in the first grudge remake
@@ajpapas4039 from scary movie? If so, she died 30 seconds after being thrown in I’m pretty sure since you don’t die right away after being decapitated
FR THO
So happy you included Ripley! She is definitely my no. 1 final girl.
Love her
Same 🤍
My personal top 3:
1. Sidney Prescott: She's the lead in my favorite horror franchise. She always makes sure her attackers are dead in the end. She's grown into such a baddie that I can do nothing but respect her. And if the Scream franchise ever kills her I may burn the Earth to the ground. There will literally never be another final girl that can outshine this woman for me.
2. Grace Le Domas: Amazing movie. She's such a fighter, and that ending... just *chef's kiss*. Very much a good for her moment.
3. Gale Weathers: I know most people only think of Sid as the final girl in the early movies, but I think you can count Gale too. She's funny, vicious, and great character growth.
yep
gale is amazing and needs to start getting more recognition as a final girl
Erin from You're Next is my absolute favorite final girl and, yes, she is vicious!
Who would win Erin or Sidney
@@thatrobloxvegangirl0976 Erin.
Erin all day
Nancy is probably my favorite final girl, especially how she is used in the later nightmare movies. Such a great classic horror character
I love how you talked about Dani and Midsommar. I see a lot of people putting her in the "good for her" category with The Invisible Man and Knives Out but people don't seem to realize that she was basically stripped away from her identity and transformed into someone with the same mentality as the rest of the village (and I know it's supposed to be a metaphor but in the context of the movie it very clearly isn't). She's basically someone who had a severe mental illness and was taken advantage of by a cult, just like in real life.
Knives out is not a horror movie lol and it doesn’t have a final girl
@@ollieno971 I know it's not horror and has no final girl, I was talking about the good for her part of the video.
so what? dani is still not a final girl
Women don’t actually see Midsommar (a movie in which a severely traumatized and constantly drugged woman’s brain was broken as she fell victim to a cult) as some kind of girl power movie. The “women” you’ve seen online promoting this preposterous and insulting notion are actually reddit mras and chancels amusing themselves and pushing another confected narrative
Everyone missing the point of your comment, just like they missed the damn point of the movie.
You're right, her story is a tragedy - and I hate that people are acting like she got a happy ending. No. It's not a happy ending, and any person who ever escaped a cult will tell you that.
I think Nancy is super iconic and smart and definitely deserves idol tier. she totally outsmarted Freddy with her whole plan at the end and came out on top to survive
preach
I was so interested to see where you would put Erin Harson when she would eventually pop up. I totally agree with her being vicious, and tbh she is probably the most vicious out of a lot of these girls, but I can vividly remember feeling so refreshed and ecstatic when she really let everyone have it - WITH good reason as well. It was just so refreshing to see a final girl be so capable and SO violent at the same time, which is why I instantly thought she was iconic. The film really makes you want to root for Erin and its so satisfying to see her fight back and kill them after everything that is revealed. So totally agree with her being vicious, but I think she really only killed in self defense, and not solely because she wanted to, but also had every right to kill who she did, especially at the end. So with all that, shes totally in the iconic tier for me because of how smart, tough, and just brutal she was. ICONIC. (also, loooveeeddd seeing this video pop up today. I literally screamed)
She is the best final girl ever. Because not once Is she ever a victim
Sidney will forever by my final girl of choice, especially with how now, by movie 5, she's ready to just jump in, get things taken care of, and get back to her regular life. Also, seeing it all laid out like this, it's a good reminder of just how little diversity there is in American horror movies. Save for Adelaide, the only final girls on this list are white women. I think Hollywood can do way better than that!
exactly what i was thinking, i feel like the slasher subgenre especially has almost no diversity
Great points all around!
@@aryakamalie9669 I’m glad Scream 5 had 2 people of color characters (both survived!) and one was LGBT :)
@@jaydonarchuleta5691 Scream 5 had four people of color actually and they all survived! Plus we got 2 new final girls with Tara and Sam.
@@miguellozano28 yesss! love it
Sidney and Laurie will always be my two favourites 🙌🏻
Also love Nancy, Ginny from Friday Part 2, Erin, Grace and Sarah from The Descent
My favorite final girl is Tree. I'm really inspired by how she grows as a person and realizes that it is never too late to become a better person. I also love how she learns to confront her trauma, like dealing with the death of her mom and choosing to embrace her dad, not push him away.
I agree!
They don't give her enough credit
Thank you, its clear you actually watched the movie unlike this videos creator. I feel like shes only seen like 5 of the movies these final girls are in.
Yeah Alice Hardy definitely is a pity girl for me. I just didn’t find her that strong of a presence in the movie. The fight scenes were a bit mediocre, although the ending was great for her. I walked away from Friday The 13th just feeling bad for her and found her quite forgettable overall. 🤷🏼♀️
i agree, also the fact that each friday movie had a different final girl made me not care about alice what so ever.
The ending of part 1 was great for her; Alice is killed in the beginning scene of friday the 13th part 2
Agree
Yup. Alice is a pity girl. She does not belong in the idol tier.
For real! Ginny from part 2 was worthy of recognition
10000% would swap Sally and Nancy...Sally literally only makes the final girl cut by default/being the only one left, she doesnt do much but run and scream and her getting away is more to do with the killers being inept than her doing anything that really sets her apart from other final girls imo
Bro she literally jumped through a glass window twice. Laurie would neva. IJS
Agreed. She got taken down with a broom. Lol.
I was going to lose it if Grace le Domas ended up anywhere but top tier. Ready or Not is probably my favourite modern horror film (at least horrow comedy), and I love Grace with all my damn heart
Grace is one of the most iconic recent final girls, along with Cecilia from Invisible Man!2020
Watch Happy Death Day
@@erikdaniels0n oh man i Love cecilia
Honestly Ripley deserves her own "Professional" tier
for me personally I love Erin from the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. She was one of the first final girls that I truely looked up to. Not only is she so emotional (which I think people forget make strong characters) she tries to save all of her friends, is calm when needed, is resourceful and freaking chops off leeatherfaces arm and runs over the cop. She is one badass that I think no one would want to mess with
Agreed! Great point! Almost forgot about her.
the one and only good thing about that new godawful TCM reboot is that lots of people are looking back & finally appreciating the 2003 installment, and i for one love to see it. ♥️
I agree. All Sally did in the first one was scream . I thought Jessica Biel did a far better job and really kicked some butt while also earning the empathy of the audience.
How is Sydney not an idol girl?! This woman has been through 10x the amount of shit than Laurie strode (if we’re just going off the new timeline) and has come back stronger in each film without making her character an alcoholic. She’s THE definition of an idol
PREACH
Laurie and Erin will always be my favorite final girls because I love how ruthless they are. My favorite final girls are the ones who get their hands dirty, so mostly the vicious girls. and Laurie is just iconic.
Dude Erin's probably my top favorite final girl of all time specifically for the can-do absolute ruthlessness. If the "badass drinking game" was a thing in general, no one could ever watch You're Next again lmao
Sidney has LITERALLY survived 25 years of being hunted by this Ghostface killer. She's been stabbed more times than I can count and was able to become a mom and has worked through her trauma enough to have a normal, fulfilled life. She deserves Idol
Other than Sidney, I'd say you did a pretty good job ranking these characters, with decent explanations for why they belong where they are...
Yeah, we could banter all day about many, many more "final girls", but this is meant to be fun, and I think you accomplished exactly that. Thanks a bunch for your thoughts and hard work!
*ERIN* - Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
*SIDNEY* - Scream
*ERIN* - You’re Next
*GINNY* - F13 part 2
*JILL* *JOHNSON*- When a Stranger Calls
Nancy actually fights Freddy pretty hard and her return has her sacrifice herself for teenagers in a hospital. I think that is pretty awesome compared to most of the final girls who are merely running for most of their movies. Totally respect your preference, just a huge fan of Nancy's (and Heather's in New Nightmare) actual fights with the slasher.
JUSTICE FOR NANCY. She was the only one putting up a fight in her whole damn movie
Yes she's one of my top 3,, the whole idea of the movie was about conquering your fears and defeating them making them meaningless and she did
LITERALLY!!!!!!!!!!
YES!!!!
I feel like Gale Weathers deserves more recognition. She survived with Sidney every time and was a great character. Also, I think Helen shivers would have been a better final girl in ikwydls. she was just a better character overall.
I love Gale and she has such amazing character development
I prefer Gale to Sidney. I love Scream but I don’t vibe with Sidney. I was kinda rooting for Emma Roberts in the fourth movie, not gonna lie.
Sidney Prescott has got to be the most brave, iconic and overall an inspirational final girl. She is super brave and she doesnt let her trauma affect her which is honestly so cool. I wished you put her in idol girls instead of icon since girls... (also you forgot to include Gale, Tara and Sam from Scream :)
Nancy in elm street one is pretty typical, but where she shines to me is in the elm street 3, where she acts as a mentor to a new generation of elm street kids, she truly shines here. She also comes back for elm street seven in a way but 3 is her prime to me.
I love your tier rankings. I almost never agree with them, but they are so much fun.
Nancy is literally my favorite final girl. Unlike most of the 80s final girls, Nancy is proactive. She doesn't just survive (sort of), she proactively goes after Freddy. She fights back, not just in the moment, but strategically and with planning. I love Final Girls who are not just reactionary.
As for Adelaide, I think she's pretty vicious, considering the things both versions of her do to get out of their situations.
I'm glad you included Ripley! She's my absolute favourite and I also really love Laurie, Nancy and Sidney
I would love to see everyone’s thoughts on Susie from Suspiria (original & remake) remake DEF belongs in the vicious category lol
Original Susie is probably a pity girl because girl just wanted to dance and got wrapped up in aaalll that drama. But you're right, remake Susie is VICIOUS
@@xviolaa but the original Susie is so stunning..
@@baddie3358 Okay? This isn't a beauty tier list
"I am SHE..."
#1- Brigitte Fitzgerald (Ginger Snaps trilogy)
#2- Lana Winters (AHS asylum)
#3- Sidney Prescott AND Gale Weathers (scream 1-5)
Honourable mention: Julie James (IKWYDLS)for pure personal nostalgia.
Nah fam Helen Shivers in IKWYDLS is the true final girl in that movie all the way
You miss Wendy Torrance (Shelley Duvall) from the shining, she is an icon
DUDE EXACTLY WHERES MY BELOVED WENDY
TCM 2 is by and large a favorite of mine. My girlfriend and my little sister love it too. Whole series in fact. I mentioned many side gigs in a previous post, during “the great plague” I tried chainsaw carving and traditional axe and knife carving for Highland Games and Renfaire. For three years running on a certain day in august we invite everyone over and I with the assistance of my sister, girlfriend brother in law and anyone else, make a turkey fryer pot of Texas style chili, we screen TCM 2, in the yard, and have a damn good time. My little sister and I also give away carvings I chopped and she finished with a grinder and dremel. Thank you soooo much for incorporating stretch. Girl gets no love. 3 new subscribers fir life!❤❤❤😂🎉
The secret is prime meat, don’t skimp on the meat….”
My list goes more like this: (a lot of my fav horrors don’t have final girls so bear with me)
1. Bev (IT)
2. Mia (Evil Dead)
3. Lena (Annihilation)
4. Dana (CITW)
5. Bridgette (Ginger Snaps)
Bonus: Jules (What Keeps You Alive)
Ik Bev doesn’t really count but she’s a badass in my books.
Hell yeah, Brigitte all the way!! Great list!
i love beverly with all my heart, but i feel like she becomes so much less of a badass by the adult timeline. she just becomes so fragile and is kinda only there for the love triangle nonsense. justice for bev man, her character was so much better when she was a kid
I really like Bev and the two movies in general, but for some reasons i dont consider her as a final girl idk lol
@@norman0179 Eh, she technically doesn't fit the definition of a final girl. Most of the losers club survive, it's just that she happens to be the only girl in the group. I don't really have a problem with her being on a final girl list tho, like she is pretty iconic even if she doesn't quite fit the definition
@@raveng8217 thats what i say beverly doesnt fit the definition of a "final girl"
Firstly, I absolutely love you're videos!!!! But I think you missed one from Friday the 13th 2, the final girl, Ginny Fields. She can handle a chainsaw, a master at chess, and is majoring in child psychology, which helps her outsmart Jason. As a whole she is a very cool final girl.
The invisible man and ready or not we’re two movies that surprised me by how much I liked them. They will definitely be yearly rewatches for me.
Cecilia and Grace have only been around for two and three years respectively, but I’d rank them up there with icons like Laurie and Sidney. They’re just incredible. That final shot of a blood soaked Grace sitting on the steps of the mansion smoking is engrained into my brain. It’s SO GOOD
My top 10 do include some sequel girls.
1 Sidney Prescott
2 Jamie Lloyd (Halloween 4 and 5)
3 Rachel Carruthers (Halloween 4)
4 Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp)
5 Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis)
6 Kimberley Corman (Final Destination 2)
7 Kyle (Child's Play 2)
8 Jennifer Hills (I Spit On Your Grave)
9 Wendy Christensen (Final Destination 3)
10 Clear Rivers (Final Destination)
Oh Kyle is great!
Friday the 13th part 2 has amazing final girl Ginny
I LOVE KYLE
Yesss love the Jamie Lloyd appreciation. She's severely underappreciated and almost single-handedly carried those few installments of the original timeline (with the help of Loomis)
Ashley from Better Watch Out is such an Idol! My husband and I watched it for the first time this year and we were screaming for her to come out alive at the end!
I also love the ending where she just flips the little shit off
Definitely disagree with Nancy. She’s one of my favorites and definitely headstrong.
(Maybe biased because nightmare on elm street is my favorite franchise) ❤️
16:43 Thomasin isn't desperate, she's pitiable. She didn't join the coven out of desperation, she did it because she lost everything and was already condemned for being a witch, so she may as well do the crime she was convicted of. It's like the Ashley Judd movie _Double Jeopardy._
yep
You literally said why she belongs in desperate
She had no one and nothing eat, nothing to survive really, doesn't that make a person desperate enough to make a deal?
BRO I GOT SO HAPPY WHEN U PUT STRETCH !! so underrated omg. the texas chainsaw final girls are so strong. my favorite final girls are sally, stretch, sidney, grace, and nancy. you included all of them:)
so glad to hear what u said about midsommar, its crazy to me that people think its a happy ending
I agree. For some reason The Witch feels like a happy ending to me though 😂
People think it's a happy ending?!
@@heatheraggus7501 No, they don’t. Of course not. This narrative has been _heavily_ pushed by reddit mras and chancels. They would just love to hear a comment like OP’s and see their hard work pay off
I absolutely love the way you do tier lists! It makes no sense and all of the sense at the same time! I struggle with rankings and ratings, but this is a really great way to do that! So glad you're next and hush ladies, especially, made it in this list. I feel they're often overlooked.
I can respect your opinion on the Nightmare movies overall but Nancy Thompson will always be that bitch to me.
She’s always been a standout final girl because throughout her movies she is smart about and dedicated to how she takes down Freddie. She’s never helpless, doesn’t fuck around or take bullshit from literally everyone around her. She is an absolute idol to me.
And Dream Warriors only improves her character. The fact that she stayed dedicated to stopping Freddie with Hypnocil is the coolest thing ever and other final girls *wish* they went this hard.
sidney IS the moment, I am crying and shaking ab this decision
YESSS, I love Stretch!!! Such an underrated final girl, so glad she was included!
Sally is the greatest final girl ever!! What she went through with the Sawyer family was the most terrifying realistic madness ive seen in any horror movie and nothing has ever come close
I was really hoping that the one sequel girl you were referring to was Ginny from Friday pt II, she's one of my absolute favorites, so resourceful and smart
She's also the only person who attempts to feel empathy for Jason. Love Ginny. Amy Steele is awesome!
You forgot Sarah Conner from the Terminator Franchise. It may be Sci-Fi but it it horrific too. The first movie was a straight up slasher movie. She is a top tier final girl in my book
I also love Tree, and I really like the Happy death day movies especially the second one, they’re both so funny. Tree is literally one of the most funniest horror movie characters ever
Sidney is my favorite final girl, I just love how resilient and realistic she is. I’ve always really admired her as a character. I feel like you didn’t give Nancy another credit, she deserves more than being placed in the pity category. I found her plan that she used to outsmart Freddy was very smart. Honestly, I think that Alice should be in the pity category tbh. She’s not that memorable. While the ending was great for her, she‘s not really memorable outside of that, especially considering that the character is killed off in the next movie.
Sidney, Erin and Sarah are definitely the ones I rooted the most for... And Cindy Campbell should've been on this list as an idol girl for sure 😭
Nah Cindy is a Sidney Prescott knock off we don’t need her..
The whole point of Dani's decision is to be uncomfortable. She was controlled by the cult and it is not supposed to be a good for her moment as said by the director.
please rank all the m night shyamalan movies!
This would be so fun to watch!!
Yes!
I was so desperately hoping you’d include Needy Lesnicky and seeing her not only included but in the vicious category made me so happy 😤👏🏽
1. Sidney
2. Laurie
3. Nancy
I think Sue Snell from Carrie fits the definition of a final girl! Would probably put her in the Pity category at the end of the day.
sarah ive just wanted to say youve been such a positive influence on me ive been watching you since high school and now im about to turn 26 in a few months
Your tier list videos are some of my favorites to watch. Also looking forward to your next Toxic Set video.
I would have included:
Lila: Psycho
Melanie: The Birds
Rosemary: Rosemary’s Baby
Susie: Suspiria
Jamie: Halloween 4&5
Rachel: Halloween 4
Kyle: Child’s Play 2
Kirsty: Hellraiser
No one talks about them!
I think its cos a lot of TH-camrs are yonger im 23 by the way they probably don't know tipi hedren and janet leigh or seen the movies for the birds or psycho
Kirsty from Hellraiser is great!!
y’all I get it… Sidney should be in idol girls. god forbid she’s just an icon.
I confess I have a morbid fascination with final girls who don't make it. There's something incredibly bitter and cruel about heroines who do everything they can to survive and still end up paying the ultimate price. So I suppose my favorites are all pity girls.
Omg Danielle Panabaker in the Friday remake!!! I love that twist, I didn’t expect it at all!!
How do you feel about Alice in Friday the 13? She survives part 1 but is killed by Jason at the beginning of part 2 as Jason sought revenge for his mothers death
yes!! one of my favs is from the texas chainsaw massacre: the beginning. every time i watch it it shocks me
@@destinyfaulkner3941 I'd like that death a little bit more if it wasn't a prequel. The fact the movie was a prequel, I already knew literally none of them would live, otherwise they would go off, call the police and have the family arrested or whatever. But the fact we knew the family were continuing with the stuff they were doing in that first movie, it wasn't a shocker to me
@@kimberleymonroe1157 I totally feel you on this! I'm a fan of Texas Chainsaw: The Beginning & I know that a hallmark of horror & is the shock factor. The thing that made me enjoy it more is that while it lacked the surprise value (cuz again, we already know these buddies aren't makin' it out), the shock value was really good for me! I'm also a big ol' baby with gore & ESPECIALLY with chainsaws so maybe that played into my enjoyment cuz it did scare me lol. But I did really enjoy the shock of actually seeing how things played out!
the girls from the perfection are so good, truely an iconic movie
what how can u not like nancy😭 she’s so awesome and literally so smart with how sleep deprived she was LOL
wait wait wait...you havent seen EVERY horror movie EVER MADE....MAN...you're clearly NOT a true horror fan if you havent been a fan since the horror genre's inception, smh. Obvious sarcasm aside Great video aside, love the content.
For Sarah Carter from The Descent have you heard the amazing theory that there are NO monsters and that Sarah is the murderer?? If you watch the movie it makes so much sense and takes the movie next level. That would certainly change her tier.
Freddy is one of the most NOPE horror villains ever and nancy being capable of defeating him makes her iconic, none of us would survive him honestly, she's great! I hope you rewatch em soon!
Helen Shivers should’ve been the final girl in IKWYDLS tbh.
PS: Should have added Cindy Campbell from Scary Movie 💀
You also missed:
Karen from the Grudge,
Kelli from Black Christmas (2006),
Kate from Valentine,
Makani from there’s someone in your house
PSPS: you could also make a Tier list for the best “should-have-been-final-girls”
With people like Helen from IKWYDLS,
Vera from Friday the 13th part 3
Melissa from the Black Christmas remake etc.
Totally agree!! Helen will always feel like a final girl to me even though she wasn’t technically. To this day, I’m still devastated she didn’t make it. She should get an honourable mention :)
@@Nik.66 Because Helen survives in the book, in my head canon she is still alive in the movie series lol
stretch absolutely needed to be on this list, thank you for including her loll 🙏
Laurie, Nancy, Kirsty, Sidney, and Erin will forever be my idol girls!
I was so happy you included Jessie from Wrong Turn. She was a badass!
Sally, Sidney, Nancy, and Grace are probably my favorites from the list. But all good choices!
Felt you were missing Sarah from The Craft and maybe Marie from High Tension. They might not totally count though.
You know it would be delightfull see sally battling their killers more than pushing the hitchicker against the bowl
my all time fav final girl is sidney! some others that i love that weren’t included would be kinsey from the strangers: prey at night, kirsty from hellraiser, and jamie lloyd from halloween 4/5! :)
Cherry falls is one of my favorites from growing up and it was so hard to find that I thought I was experiencing the Mandela effect
I can’t believe that you missed the OG FINAL GIRL ~ Lila Crane - Psycho
But I also have a few more final girls that you didn’t have on your list that I would have added…
Sara Bailey ~ The Craft
Alice ~ Resident Evil
Helen Lyle ~ Candyman
Kristy Cotton ~ Hellraiser
Max Cartwright ~ The Final Girls
Sue Snell ~ Carrie
Natalie Simon ~ Urban Legend
Marybeth Dunston ~ Hatchet
Jody Marken ~ Cherry Falls
Kate Davies ~ Valentine
Alana Maxwell ~ Terror Train
Kyle from child's play 2, after being thrown into this whole "doll is actually alive" thing she looks after little Andy AND kills Chucky
One of my favorite final girls is Jamey from Halloween four and five for nostalgia purposes. I grew up watching those two films on repeat and she fought like hell for such a young girl. I hate what they did to her is the sixth film though!!!
Jamie is the most badass kids I’ve ever seen, and Danielle Harris was amazing - especially for a child actress. Jamie deserved better, and she definitely earned a place on any list of final girls.
I love this topic, there are so many final girls who are my faves. Definitely have to give it up for Erin from “You’re Next.” That woman was NOT HAVING IT
Love your list!! I’d have to include Kirsty Cotton from HellRaiser (1,2 & 6) and Justine from Kristy (2014) as among my favs.
Sidney to me is forever idol girl. She is strong, brave, and loyal to her love ones. She comes back to Woodsboro when she is needed even with the trauma that it holds for her. She wants to help others. She has made it through 5 movies. She is my idol.
hey babes, much love to u and ur choices, but my homegirl Kirsty Cotton did not survive against literal demons from hell (twice!) just to be left off the list like this lol 🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely adore Kirsty Cotton 💪🏼♀️
My top 3 final girls are:
3) Kirsty (Hellraiser): Was able to beat beings from literal hell to make it out alive!
2) Nancy (ANoES): She went from kind mousy to taking out a man that stalks your dreams in the real world with homemade traps...thats an Icon! I love Laurie, but she didn't do something eveb close to that in her first time against Michael.
1) Jennifer (Dr. Giggles): An overlooked Icon from an underrated as hell fun slasher. She stood up to the doctor from hell, surviving time after time while running on borrowed time thanks to a heart condition. A condition bad enough to need equipment to monitor and heart surgery in the end. Holly Marie Combs is an amazing actress!
Nancy was my favorite final girl until I watched Hellraiser 1 and 2. Kirsty Cotton is my absolute favorite and I'd put her at the top. Then it would be Nancy, then Laurie Strode, then Sidney Prescott and then Sally.
Saw “Haunt” for the first time last night.
Harper was a pretty cool final girl…though, the writers did her dirty with one act that I bet, if real life, she would find hard to get over.
Wonder where she would be rated.
They’re all amazing but my number one top favourite if I had to pick only one, is definitely Sidney. She is so beautiful and a queen and I love Neve Campbell, what a gorgeous woman
It's a shame you didn't do sequels. Ginny from Friday the 13th part 2 is my favorite final girl in the Friday series. She's awesome. Even going as far as putting on Pamela Vorhees' sweater to outsmart Jason, so cool!
I love Sarah Connor. T2 is an action movie, but seeing her transform from victim to warrior is amazing
My top 5 favorite final girls are Sidney Prescott, Erin, Rachel Carruthers, Ginny Field, and a toss up between Laurie Strode and Clear Rivers. A little sad that Nancy Thompson didn't make icon at least. But I would love to see one for final boys! If you can find enough to rank that is.
Laurie and Sidney are my queens
Some of my favorites are: Marie from Haute Tension. Jen from 2017's Revenge, and all the girls from the I Spit on Your Grave franchise.
