  • This week I'm getting the old 4 row planter out and getting that food plot planted. Last year we had such good luck with the food plot. It helped wildlife, good cover and food to last. This year were planting Forage Soybeans they're supposed to get up to 6-7ft tall. It will provide plenty of cover and good forage for the deer and other wildlife. It honestly amazing this old planter still works. Its looks like it did a pretty decent job too. Thanks as always.

I remember my Dad having a planter like that even had reflectors that went up and down to tell you it was planting no monitors.

They’re pretty cool machines this one is in pretty rough shape we bought it off a guy who was going to use it for food plots. Figured we’d do the same. It did a great job last year

What height did you say they grew? My dad grew soybeans for forage to give to the hogs...the maturity wasn't short enough to grow like it is now...I think that was in the 1940's

6-7ft tall it’ll be interesting to see how it does. It’s beans on beans but I’m not worried on yield I just want tonnage for the deer.
