I personally think those fredo plugins should be added in default Sketchup itself. It makes the application more versatile for modelling and also a lot of users are dependent on particular functions offered by the plugin (there are a lot of competitors providing this function as an inbuilt feature). Maybe Trimble can associate fredo developers to be part of the core team.
You are finally combed presentably, now you are visually suited to the role and function you perform. I will always follow you with great interest (from Italy) because you are very good. Regards.
I totally understand why Fredo6 decided to go down the paid road with his must-have plugins. That being said, I don't like that he didn't keep a free downgraded version, for example what he did in the beginning with FredoCorner and RoundCorner, more so when those extensions weren't intended to be paid ones from the start (unlike FredoCorner, LOTT and some others). But that being also said, Sketchup is the one to blame, lacking so many features by default in other 3d programs, some free like Blender and DesignSpark Mechanical, and totally able to include them in the main software. Proof of that is that those plugins exist
Id love to see an in-depth video on curvisard, or see you use it more in your live demos. I use it for a few specific things but would love to have a better understanding of what all the things do. Also Fredo scale, there are things in that, that I have yet to figure out.
Hey sir! Can we use the visual hole plug in to trim/subtract? instead of using a solid tool or Bool tool? Every time I use the solid tool, it requires that my model be solid. especially when my model does not have the basic shapes, I tried Solid Inspector but sometimes I need to repair it manually. Just asking since I still don't have fredo6 plugin
Now that SU-PRO is a paid for app, I completely understand why developers like Fredo are monetising their hard work. Why should they do all this for free to make SU better while Trimble is making money? I agree with keggyification below, most of these tools are really considered essential to make SU usable (Aaron says a lot of people at Trimble already use them), so they should be part of the standard paid-for installation.
Thanks Aaron, I'm sure you've addressed this question before but wouldn't it be worth Trimble buying these extensions from Fredo (for a fair price)and incorporating them into the Sketchup if they are so good and improve functionality so much? I really like the Fredo6 extensions for their simplicity of use.
@@kozakShablia I'd be interested to know if there are legitimate reasons why Trimble haven't bought up the more popular extensions, from someone within the company who is in a position to know and has the authority to say. It's possible that like other software houses that allow users to create their own add-ons, Trimble don't want to detract from the base purpose of SketchUp that fits with the requirements of most of the user base and are therefore happy to allow users to create add-ons that match specific needs outside of the base capabilities of the original software. Not everything is down to corporate greed all of the time
It's been at least 10 years since I used Sketchup the last time, why aren't some of say Fredo's tools built in to Sketchup by now asa to me they seem more or less essential? actually I can't find much at all has changed in default Sketchup since then. It's like Trimble don't want to implement some user tools even though most people seem to use them al lot? I mean we have seen this happened many times before in other software what once started out as a user created extension later ends up built into Maya, Max, Blender. I mean the creators would still be compensated ofc. It's makes it easier for alla the users if the tools where in there to begin with. Again taking Blender as an example it comes with tons of addons you just enable if you want to use them or not.
Sketchup isn't very power hungry but it also depends on the size/complexity of your work. Any 3yo laptop will do but you'll want as much RAM as you can afford (general rule for any software). 16Gb is a minimum just because your OS takes 7-8-ish. You'll also want it to have dedicated GPU (e.g. nVidia) to accelerate 3D, not the one build into some of the CPUs. The rest is just creature comfort.

I think it will better if sketchup include fredo tools inside by default

Brian, search for the videos of TutorialsUp, his tutorials are excellent to better grasp the use of the plugins in deep
Good for Fredo to finally get paid for these awesome plugins. Most of them are a must-have.

Holy smokes. That is amazing
When will you make modifications in SketchUp viewport? It should be like 3ds or blender viewport, they are free to set the views in screen.

It's worth it, but big companies are greedy. That's why they don't care.

i use fredo scale and round corner,in my opinion fredo6 extensions are the best!
Muy buen vídeo y explicación, saludos.
What are the hardware requirements for the laptop to install skechup version 2022

How we can calculate volumes please?
Selecting any solid will show its volume in Entity Info
i'll comment, why i have to pay on top of my subsription to skp for tools that should already be in the software in the 1st place
"RoundCorners" is from 2018. "FredoCorners" is from 2022. I suppose you meant the latter?
peut on l'avoir en français?
