Good one: I was unaware that add detail could be used to add in extra detail points.... "I LIKE TO SMOOVE-IT, SMOOVE-IT!"

How could you use this native tool to replace SUB-d paid extension?? Sounds like one could generate several grids and manipulate them to create organic shapes in all directions, scaling and also changing their orientation...?
You CAN get some smooth shapes with the sandbox tools but the whole concept of subdividing like SubD or Artisan do goes way beyond what native tools can accomplish.
Does sketchup for ipad have this tool?
You good thing
Yes! The Earth did Smoove for me ;¬)

Can you show how to convert contour survey plan from AutoCAD to Sketchup.
Select the contours then use the “Make terrain from contours” command

@@AaronMakingStuff I'm old enough to remember that reference but too old to remember where it came from.
Based on some quick googling, it looks like it was in the 80s movie, The Explorers
@@AaronMakingStuff I just googled it too.
I do remember the movie… not that line specifically, though
I am using Sandbox tools to model a foundation on a slope. ??????ols

I really was waiting for something new in Sketchup, i thought it is 2022, but..... same, same and same again like SKP 8
This video is not about anything new in 2022. It is a basic overview of the Smoove and Add Detail commands in Sandbox tools.
