I do own a 21' aluminum deep-v. That boat pretty much only hits the bay for walleye dinners. I hands down have the most fun on my kayak. Catching smallmouth and pike is such a blast. I do a lot of river fishing so I'm still paddling. The anchor is a must, some holes I will catch 4-5 smallmouth out of.
I was that exact same way. Boat was strictly for cold water walleye fishing and that was it. I do enjoy fishing on friends boats when I get an opportunity though 😂 but the kayak game is for me
