Hard facts as a modder for ark I can say performance is it's biggest problem and needed addressed prior to ASAs release, the unreal update to 5.4 is no performance update it's a tools for devs update I wish shills would admit this, they copied 3/4 of ASEs code to make ASA and wonder why it's broken

Delays are expected from WC. The thing that is hurting the player base most is the fact that p2w has taken over dev time instead of fixing core issues. Totally agree with you on this point.
As long as non gamers who run these companies push their agendas coders and game designers will never be able to focus on quality. Secondly when having forced spec and memory limits by companies like Sony and Microsoft games won't reach peak performance. Finally on pay to win. I bought the pyromane. I do not pvp I'm pve only, also I have physical limitations due disability so I will take some advantages if they reduce time to complete tasks as my play time is limited. My opinion on pay to win is I don't fully blame the game companies, I'll explain. The only thing the company is doing is exploiting a fault in the player base. This fault is some players care more about winning than the experience. Being a gamer a lot older than most content creators and a former long time competitive player on a national level I've seen a lot of short cuts taken instead of putting in the time. This decline in player etiquette created pay to win and is the reason I don't pvp on any gaming platforms anymore. When I was younger I would burn hours and days perfecting techniques and strats to utilize. Being nearly 50 years of age and disabled even now I only use pay to win or automation to reduce pve task time if there is no reasonable technique or strat that works in pve. In pvp and competitive environments short cuts, exploits and hacks should not be used regardless of knowledge of them. The players who will use shortcuts and other things I mentioned to win in competitive environments need to get back to understanding that winning is not everything. Game companies need to realize the quality non-profit should matter. Until these two things start to show gaming across most platforms will continue to suffer. I apologize for the long comment this is my opinion across the whole gaming universe.

You cannot patch out what needs to be redesigned, as someone who understands arks code thoroughly ASA is a 3/4 rip-off of ase's code which is why it is such a bad performing game, they didn't even have the nerve to rework the game prior to releasing it and recharging people $50 ASA is truly just the definition of scummy tactics, if it wasn't for console mod support it would already be completely dead, people are forgetting that official servers are not what funds the game anyway as it constantly sees less than 1,600 players concurrently daily, wherever on custom-built servers you constantly see a flood of over 100 times more players

I'm the same on official after the update i keep crashing after using my tp or just randomly crashing and can't even jump from the floor with the jetpack so pretty much in base breeding xD
ASA isn’t even pulling in half the people that ASE is still pulling. ARK will never be what it was. And that’s fine because I had a blast on ASE for almost 8 years. I’m already level 155 on official with less than 13 days in the game. I’ve been having a blast on ASA. Everyone that played ASE shouldn’t be surprised about these issues on ASA. I’ve actually become immune to these issues in some ways since I have almost 13k hours in ARK 🤣
Been playing since it came out still.Can't save my game and now with the summer bash Mod every time I load in it crashes can't even play It.Wild card is really starting a piss , me off

they fucked up the mods too..i couldn't get out of my base after the update.. and the graphics still flicker.
They force modder to spend hundreds of hours fixing their mistakes and claimed that they're upgrading the game
I lost all my progress because wild card wouldn’t help me with my servers. My servers were completely broken and I couldn’t get on my server. It was 2 weeks later when I was able to get back on and wild card did NOT help me at all. I contacted them like 4 times and they didn’t not help me. They need to do better because I lost over 40 boss rexes with over 50k hp and 1.2k melee.
Could that be why they are upgrading the engine soon lmao

30-70 FPS on GF4 Ti?!?!?! I am struggling like that with my GF2060RTX, 16Gb ram and Intel i5 10400F, with bunch of things turned of in game settings and over the console commands...
I literally thought we needed 7060+ to run it lol my 4060 with like 32gb ram on my pc can't even run it that well at all so I guess 2060 is like way under the requirement. Then again I don't think the recommended even works either 😅
Not sure if you posted this video after reading my comments however I appreciate you actually addressing the concerns with ark thank you that wasn't referring to you as one of the shills, however anyone claiming that unreal engine 5.4 update will be a performance update is definitely a shill and doesn't understand anything about software engineering and coding
This is just one annoying issue in addition to everything else. We invested 7000k in 2 computers, not counting games. We can't use the potential of our graphics cards. Med settings for a high-end computer is ridiculous. D4 does not have these issues.
I9 rtx 4070 128gb ddr4 and I have similar issues as of recently
Only around 40 hours in as I bought recently (played Evolved, though) and on a 5.3 ghz i5, 4070ti Super, 32 Gb and M.2 NVMe SSD - I'm getting on average 55-60 fps on Ultra @ 1440p with draw distance turned down to high. Not one crash yet either (this is solo play mind, can't speak to online play) - and as I'm not a framerate obsessive, nor is this a twitchy shooter I'm perfectly happy with the performance of the game, which looks amazing btw. As a gamer who installed the original DOOM off floppy disks, and before that c64 cassettes, lol - I think modern gamers should get their eyes off the FPS counter and just enjoy the experience - you don't need 120 fps for that to happen.
True, I run a similar system with a 6950XT and the FPS has become obsessive for some people. However, getting regular 1% and sudden 4fps for a second or at the wrong time is hard work
Never understood the point of ASA. Who, in their right mind, incures the insane workload of remastering a content Behemoth like Ark SE (which is a poorly optimized game to begin with) and promises to do all that for free, while they are also working on Ark 2 (allegedly)?
Wildcard are like politicians: They routinely promise stuff that they cannot deliever in time or not at all. Which is a lesson learned years ago. People, who haven't figured that out by now, never will.
There is no way to sugar-coat it: Splitting a community (that had seen better days to begin with) over a remaster, that requires a 2.000 bucks PC to run like garbage at mid settings (hopefully) is just a move of grade A stupidity.
So I agree with what you are saying. My problem is I am a pve player only. With that being said things like the within range of cryo fridge to unpod. Making getting dinosaurs 🦕 to the obi for boss fights difficult. It causes excessive Bob box building around the obis.
If you haven’t unlocked a transmitter yet to run boss fights from base that’s your problem. 😂

We have the Pyromane on our SE map and didn't pay to get to it.
@dawnhoefer4494 Pyromane will spawn on the Island regardless if you paid for it or not...without paying for it though you will not be able to tame
Ok so yall seem to harp in ASA. But honestly I am running the same PC as 7 yrs ago I have over 8k hours on ark regular. The problems you b!tch about are the same with ark overall. ASA though is soo much better with graphics. LOAD TIMEs old ark with 32 mode took 25 min to load ASA with same amount of mods 2 minutes. I run all high settings and the lag is no diff then old ark. mainly its the host etc. Over all ASA is so much worth the immersion it brings. just need the core mods to catch up is the biggest thing. Fuk the devs they always suck its the modders who always made this game last so long. When ASA gets CKF, COSPLAY mods etf it will rock.
i have a 3060 and ryzen 5 5600x and i struggle to hit 60 fps on low preset with clouds and all that off

@@drabent99 I don’t see why. I’ve been playing ascended for months now. I don’t experience any of the stuff this video talks about. Both games run the same, ascended just looks way better and has a bunch of quality of life upgrades that all make the game way better. I could never go back to evolved.
Must be a pvp or pc problem.
I play pve only on a series x with a 120hrz bigscreen tv and it’s not perfect because it’s ark but definatly runs the same. I see no difference except for positive ones for ascended.
@Spartacus4281 you must be lucky, I've had issues with or without mods on single-player like dinos not spawning or them spawning in rocks or the ground. Also crashes happen to me since the center launched, now on my moded save most mod dinos from Garuda don't spawn wouldn't be a problem but I bought the premium one from Garuda doesn't work no matter the order it's in, plus I tried it with it as my only creature mod. I'm so glad yours works, but many are having some kind of issues

It'll probably look as bad as island and center do compared to ASEs versions honestly can tell you how many floating rocks and mesh holes I've found in every map in ASA that ASE didn't have, it's truly been a huge down grade except for console mod support

The pyroman is already collapsed the official servers with 1600 players leaving daily from ark as their stocks drop less than a dollar, wild card needs to wake up

Which no ark player truly wants seeing as it's a narrative-driven single player game not a open world MMORPG it's Insanity that ark studio is pushing for ark 2 and destroying its own community in the process that have been faithful for almost a decade
Also the community probably needs a nuke / re vamp too so they probably dont care what we think ... ether way loving the mods they are selling because it makes people that try to earn off server's now have to invest time '&' money not just toxic knowledge over the game.get to work server makers get to work.. and content creators go take a pve break

I think I'll just get a 7700xt, and I'll just stick to evolved until mid range gpus can run it 60fps high. Oh, and a 4070 is not mid ranged. A 4060 is for any of those idiots in the comments. Remember, most people are using gpus that are 2-4 years old.

None of these bugs keep the the game from being playable and enjoyable in my opinon. Yes they are annoying and frustrating but but Ark is a long grindy game anyway. Lag is not going to stop me from playing it. The game becoming stale for lack of content would though.
You sound like those commercials for V Shred and give about as much info in this video on game dev or updates. Maybe spend some time learning about game programing and UE5 or heck just put out a video of you taming or doing something in ASA.

I've said all along pay too win and constant server issues ie crashes rollbacks and constant problems the game doesn't even run properly it's a joke at this point... On top of that ask us for more money with mods and extra tames... Nobody is investing in the game... Can you blame them... This games is dying people leaving constant delays and bad gameplay... I ask can you blame them... Looks like there grabbing last bit of cash before game just ends

All the complaining is from PC players, and PvP players. Ark runs fine on consoles, and if you can’t afford $5, then you have financial problems and should sell your pc/console.
The only division is PvE players tired of being punished for PvP players BS. They need to separate the two player base.
You’re an absolute retard, PvP is a solid 40% of the player base. I can join single player on my Xbox and run 30-50 fps without 20+ commands. The game is absolutely terrible

@@Kodeations works fine on ps5 sometimes i find myself crashing when loading other peoples bases but its rare given the custom cosmetic thing other than that i haven't had any major complaints aside from the stupid censorship.
