@@SkorpSam I know that. I’ve played the game 8 years. But no one plays on Official settings from 7 years ago. There isn’t a Un Official cluster set on original Wild Card Official settings. And most clusters have all the maps which released tames and items to make the game super easy. So they will never know how hard the game was.
@@andrewberwick7760 It’s not the same Ark. There are Cryo pods. There are Carchars. The rates on normal time on official are what it used to be on 2X weekend. There are breeding and raising events now. Plus there is more Tek than in the first 3 maps released originally. It’s definitely not the same Ark even from 6 years ago it’s drastically easier!
im so sad that ark didnt receive more mini bosses than it did, like ragnaroks. I thought the concept of a mini boss in a cave with great loot that you can run in 10-30 minutes was great
Before the ship was taken over by Rockwell, there was apparently bosses in each section. According to the lore, after Rockwell took over they were taken or something and Moeder blocked Rockwell out or something. Thats what I heard anyway.
Moder shut herself offline before the delete and rockwell just deleted the others from the sim so he would have noone strong enough to get in his way. @@TheRealSPH_Oisin
Your videos are really cool and informative. It's crazy I have 100 days plus gameplay time on ark evolved and some on Ascended. I still feel like I know nothing lol. There is so much to this game.
That Abberation Obelisk fact is outdated, they changed it a long time ago to allow you to travel to the boss on Abb from the obelisks. Also Gigas fit in Beyla and Steinbjorns caves with cryopods.
One side of me hopes that they end up adding a Master AI for each of the biomes like originally intended. Though they couldn’t be bothered to make an Overseer for SE, so that’s just a pipe dream.
A master ai in each biome directly conflicts with the lore, so it's highly unlikely unless they wanna rewrite the lore as rockwell deleted the other master ai

In ASA the megapithecus one-shots you as well with the rock throw, as well as the projectile sometimes is invisible or travels at light speed. It can one-shot your creatures as well at times, tho there doesnt seem to be any rule there. Buggy as hell, playing solo, I'd avoid it unless you play on solo save and don't mind using console commands...
All gen1 biomes had a masterAI, only rockwell killed almost all of them t seize power. Moeder was the only one who did something about it and survived, though I cant say for sure what or how its been a minute haha
U could take gigas or anything into bosses when cryopods 1st launched, though Gigas aren't really the best for harder content they'll just rage and eat u 😢
Would it be feasible for bosses you can use Gigas in, to ride a flyer with the Gigas following you on the ground, trigger the boss into aggression and just let the Gigas do their work? I can just imagine taking on a boss while flying an Argy or Crystal Wyvern, circling overhead so the Gigas could rage all they wanted without being able to hurt you.
@@mikoto7693 not really, mainly because they get so little out of points into hp whereas u could get a boss rex lvld to 200k hp and have good melee dmg with no danger of raging.

I’ve only done the Island, Crystal Isles and I’m working on Scorched Earth so I’m fairly new. I’m just curious about the hypothetical situation. Could leading a squad of Gigas into a boss fight while flying out of reach on an Argy/Wyvern work? Would it actually protect you from your own Gigas when they raged during the fight? I see no reason why it wouldn’t, but unless I learned about a boss fight where I could test it in solo player and gmsummoned a squad of Gigas and a Crystal Wyvern to test it it’s unlikely I’ll ever be in a legit situation to test it.
@@mikoto7693ye maybe u could do that on genesis mission bosses or something open world but with 34k hp they don't last that long on alpha especially without an imprinted rider.

funny how the devs always kept saying "no we won't add an ascension to scorched" yet 6 years later here we are with a great ending (also the reason you stated scorched has no overseer is wrong, scorched has no overseer because in lore helena made it so you ascend after defeating the manticore so you can get to aberration and stop rockwell faster
I hope in ASA ark adds some cool new bosses to check out. Also on the center the megapithecus got a buff or at least on asa, it does more damage and takes reduced damage. I think if the center mega was the mega on all maps it would be way harder and more enjoyable. great vid btw :)
Theory: the x variant of the dragon was most likley going to be the master controller of the volcano region, however they scrapped it mid development due to story changes or not having enough time to make it, or it was just a weaker variant of the dragon for the volcano gaunlet, but that wouldnt really make alot of sense on why they would make it an x variant- :p
the King titan mentioned in the lore is the exact same individual as the alpha King, that's why you can only use the megamech with him AND he's the one with the scar on the chest, but he also grew armor as an adaptation because of all the damage he took, this is made very explicit on the story. Basically whoever created him took inspiration from Godzilla Earth from the Netflix anime movie
Neat video just wnated to mention you got one thing wrong The Manticore doesn't have the lowest hp of all Main Guardians/Main Bosses Gamma Manticore: 100K hp Gamma Rockwell Prime: 25K hp
the manticore doesn't have the least health. on alpha, rockwell prime has 75,000 health which is less than a giga. on gamma theres the master controller with 25,000 that's a quarter of the gamma manticore.
Newer players will never know how hard Ark used to be.

moeder shut herself down manually in the lore and prevented rockwell from killing her, the others weren't so lucky

It could work for scorched earth but it wouldn’t work for aberration because it clashes with the lore
Aberration could have rockwell created guardians, like a Elemental Nameless or Reaper Empress or Emperor

Another thing about the Desert Titan: If you place the dermis of the Desert titan flock on a taxidermy base, it shows a Dimorphodon

Broodmother used to be tamable, it was designed to have a area for a rider.
