    Vids like this are honestly the best way to learn the game. Breaking down gameplay of someone who knows what they are doing and highlighting what they do right is much more insightful than pointing out what more novice players do wrong. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just feel like you can take away much more information from both you and the player you are highlighting.

    Shiv: hits a guy with 40 dmg
    Guy: omg I'm so hurt I gotta take a phoenix
    Guy's teammates: lets wait for the guy to finish phoenixing after that we will engage
    Me: hits a guy with 80
    The full squad: SPARTAAA **rushes and kills me instantly**

    Ive played with and against shiv before. Hes a great player! I hate his playstyle, (i prefer ras for example) but hes really fucking good. The game i played with him went super well and i even got to res him hehe but he did three times the dmg i did, and got 1 or 2 more kills (i think i stole a few :D)

    Bigger now that SBMM is hitting pretty hard since there are obviously bots like the Caustic that gave up high ground later in the game, but there are a lot of other players that can somewhat hold their own as well. Seeing games against better players probably teaches more than games where the lobby favors the player.

    I get a lot more kills when I pick-and-choose which fights I take. Really satisfying when a third-party Octane tastes your flesh and ditches his squad to chase you. Only to find you holding high-ground + cover, guns reloaded!

    How far do you think a Team of 3 players with mediocre/average/maybe a bit above average aim/"fps" skills be able to go, ELO wise, if they are backed up by game/map/rotation knowledge and strong macro/micro shotcalling decisions, and played for top 3-4 every game with bare minimum k/p?
    My guess would be SOMEWHERE in Diamond over time as improvement happens, minimum platinum due to how the RP gains work.
    I'm very curious to see how far a team could go rank wise off of superior macro/micro decisions regarding the map and positioning/engagements, vs trying to becoming a better FPS player like Noko, Lululuvely, etc. Movement mechanics is easier to learn than decades or years of FPS aim.

    • @coachnihil6969
      @coachnihil6969  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pred, decisively. Assuming ample playtime, of course.
      If their macro plays are actually top tier and they have high level micro comms and teamfighting strats as well as playing their comp/meta decently. There's no requirement for a certain level of accuracy or movement to make a rank, having them be so terrible you're an easy kill is simply what holds people back. Doesn't mean you need far above average mechanics to start climbing in higher tier lobbies and the experience will get their aim there anyway.
      People just tend to forget that many of these "knowledge skills" are more than just knowledge, many require just as much experience and mastering as mechanics and people often misjudge how experienced they are in them.

    9:02 He did that well. Bang's ult is different from gibby's where as with gibby you have to throw the ult under the target area but with Bangalore the ult will spread forward making a triangle. So in that case the ult landed between him and bit on the enemy too. You can see the explosion on the higher ground.

    Who is the best legends to keep resetting the fights until it's favorable for you?

    • @coachnihil6969
      @coachnihil6969  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      As a single player? Pathfinder, his reposition potential is unmatched and no character can keep up with a well executed grapple.
      For a team, Wraith. Her portals's extremely valuable in ranked for repositioning teams safely.

    To be honest watching this has made me happy as hell because I am not a super aggressive player and get most of my kills outsmarting and isolating teams or using a 3rd party to my advantage and clearing up weakened enemies and my team never wants to push 3rd parties or pull away from a fight that they clearly cannot win. I only have dropped 10 kills as my best game and my best damage has been 1866 I’ve been hitting those consistently so my hope is that now instead of playing super passive or super aggro depending on my team I can just do my own thing and feel confident that I can play around with other teams like I usually do. I’m a Wattson main too so these tips really transition into any legend playstyle.
