Gameplay explained is a series of FPS gameplay in which I try to explain the various skills, decisions and best practices you may want to master to start winning more games. I try to explain how I win fights, beat noobs and survive against pros. The point of these guides is to show in real-time what differences there are between experienced players and casuals.
Apex Legends is a battle royale game based in the Titanfall universe that's defined by squad battles emphasizing teamwork and use of a unique pinging system. - เกม
This is a great analysis and breakdown of the gameplay.
Thank you! I've been watching you for so long, I hope I did it justice. Congratulations on all the growth, you absolutely deserve it :)
Wow shiv🙏❤️
I literally only discovered shiv because of this video 😍 now to imitate it perfectly... Hahahahahahahah I wish
Shiv what is the attachment on your r301 behind your stock I see it but not sure what it is

During this stream my mic filters were turned off so enjoy the swallowing and background truck ASMR!
Upcoming videos from streams after this will have the mic quality back to normal :D
If you want to be coached as well: you can send me a VOD, ask questions or request a session for free on my twitch!
I try to do a coaching session daily and thanks to generous donations and subs, I will keep doing this for free as long as I can.
Hope to see you there :D
SAving this for later Nihilego. I'll watch it as soon as I get back from work.
This and RAS videos are my favorite. Watched each of them more than 10 times each and scrubbed back and forth, slowly learning and applying. So far, my gunplay has gotten better and I'm getting a better average kills each night.
I’d like to see you comment on what his enemies are doing more often. Like, what they’re doing wrong or right to try and counter whoever it is you’re analysing.
That's great feedback, I'll try to keep it in mind! Thank you :D
Nice video,
went right into detail without saying a lot of unneeded stuff and explained everything very well.
Damn wish my enemies stood still my enemies be jumping crouching doing backflips lol
your breakdowns are actually halting me tbh i’ve never had help from them until i found you😁 keep it up man great job
This is one of your best videos. Very useful for new and inexperienced players alike.
How are there less than a hundred comments here? Despite the to be continued, there is excellent material here. I, for one, would argue that Shiv created his own cover at the end with that thermite. Very instructive. Takeaways for me are 1) Kite 2) Always use cover 3) Fight one enemy at a time. Reposition or Q upon seeing a 2nd or 3rd enemy.
Loved this!!! Can’t wait for part 2. Would be really nice to se breakdowns of other really good players also. Ace and TSM guys, nicewigg and such.
Big thumbs up!
Its hard not be a bot in this game
I don't know about everyone else, but I am excited for part 2.
Great vid mate 👍🏻
VALENTINE66 soccer, mate 👍🏻
Spacial awareness, timing and accuracy = asset, hostile and cover control everytime.
Good work.
Can we get more like this because I constantly find myself last alive trying to figure out how to 1v3 and then all 3 rush me lol I can 1v3 I'd just like to improve it
that happens to even the best players homie.....unless you happen to be vs some complete badies most the time you are gonna lose that 1v3 (vs equal or greater skill level)....not saying its not possible by any means, just saying its not likely esp higher up the skill ladder.
that's one of the many many reasons pathy and wraith have the highest win ratio, they have the ability to rotate quickly whilst taking minimal damage. also Grenadddaaasss (arcstars or thermite preferably) can pretty easily stop or buy you some time if they're all coming from the same position. still tho quite difficult to contest a 1v3 if they all rush you.
i just found this channel watched the video and ive literally learned so much in just one video other channels just give general tips but you critically analyze players and what makes them so good and i like that i subscribed and ringed the bell to all :)
This is the Apex content I've been looking for
great content man, great way to proceed through the analysis and the explanations are on point!! :)
Great gameplay, and great analysis.
This was a great video coach!!! Learned alot from this video.
Coach, you're the best Bangalore in my book
Really good video, lots of useful advice :). I will definitely try to crouch a lot more!
Hey coach, I loved this vid. Can’t wait for part two.
My question: what exactly is “kiting”?
Thanks Paul!
Kiting means to continuously back off / create more distance between you and enemies that you are engaged with. Making people chase you, in other words.
Think of how you fly a kite ... you throw it up into the wind and then you run away from it until the string becomes taut and the kite 'chases' you. That's where the expression comes from.
@@JeanPaulConnock Yeah exactly! I originally came across it in MMORPGs where that example fits even better, you'd aggro an enemy and then maintain a certain range to keep them aggro'd but unable to attack you. That was really like flying a kite :)
JP C ohhhh... thanks man!
Coach Nihil thanks coach. Keep up the amazing content. You have made me a much better player!!!
Loved the vid thanks
16:07 and pause, now can someone explain what the attachment is on shivs R301 behind his stock you can see bottom right hand of screen pause it. Look. I don’t know what this is..
Anvil receiver (Make i think 2 or 3 round into 1 shot).... You should've have seen alternator with disruptor round hopup.. beast
I’m only 40 seconds in but I cannot believe he turns this drop into a 6k game. I would have been beyond tilted if that was how my game started lmao
For real!! No gun and no shield AND someone shooting at me bringing my health to 1 shot *and* no teammates. Yeah I'm getting sent back to the lobby in .5 seconds
Okay, so hear me out coach.
I understand this concept completely because I fall victim to chasing people without my team when I crack a shield all the time. So I've been on the receiving end of this "kiting" strat countless amounts of times.
As far as performing this strat, however I have a very difficult time doing so. To give you context, I play in a 3 stack or at least a 2 stack whenever possible. There are fights where I'm able to recognize "holy crap, we need to get out of here" but for whatever reason, one of my buddies in my stack feel like we can win the fight. As you can imagine, I disengage, my buddies stay, creating a 2v3 for themselves although I called out the disengage loud and clear. How can I deal with this in a constructive way? I don't want to hurt team morale so every time this happens, I hold my thoughts on the situation because I don't want to sound like the "I told you so" guy to my friends.
That's a tough situation to be in.. and we've all been there.
The main concern is making sure you share helpful info and not just point out what you think they did wrong. The other important thing is whether they're willing to learn or not. If after one of those fights you can bring up "Hey guys, do you think WE could have won that if WE disengaged and healed up?". It's important not to blame anybody directly and talk about it in terms of teamwork.
If they're still not receptive to the idea, they're not ready to improve. They'll stay at that mentality and skill level until their mindset more naturally progresses. So if that's the case I'd recommend finding more likeminded teammates or practising shorter resets so you can come back and clutch as they continue to take the fight.
Also prepare for the fact that, because you've been thinking about this already, they're going to take longer than you to adjust. So don't expect them to start following said call-outs perfectly the next game. Just keeping talking through what you guys are doing and why and give them time to learn :D
I see it 2 different ways. You are either better than them and recognize bad fights, or you are worse than them and are afraid of strong opponents where as they see those opponents as on par or of lower skill. If all 3 of you were very skilled then each one of you can instantly understand the situation and know whether to go in or pull out. As of right now I would suggest getting your strongest player both mentally and dexterity wise to be the shot caller. This is someone who is able to factor in his own skill AS WELL AS his teammates skills into figuring out if a fight is winnable. I am a believer in 1 person making a bad play is bad, but 3 people making that bad play could make it work. When you pulled out you 100% killed them. When they stayed they 100% killed you.
So more often than not, I end up being given the responsibility to call shots. Which I honestly have to admit, is not one of my strengths. My team consists of my girlfriend (less mechanically skilled than me, but overall a more intelligent decision maker and honestly I wish she shot called, but she doesn't have the confidence to) and a good irl friend of ours. So honestly I enjoy playing with them regardless of whether we win or lose. I just want to win more often lol.
I'm going to try the shorter resets you mentioned, coach. Thank you for your advice.
I forgot the TT used to be an energy weapon
shiv is a monster
I miss the energy triple take
New sub bro you are official ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
bangalore is underrated
Just got killed by Shiv - didn't even see him. Hoping to learn something here!
Pro players always have more heals than inventory slots. I don’t get it. Where do they find all the shield batts
They don't overloot, they loot efficiently. Getting high kills leads to more death boxes where you instantly take the important shield heals, armor swap and essentials then you continue on quickly. Plus just keeping track of how much you always carry and at what point you really need to loot :D
@@coachnihil6969 appreciate the reply. I never take in to account shield swap which would save a battery. I’m pretty about about healing and then looting shields 😂
@@PhotonBread I'm trying to get into the habit of not reading my notifications until I have time to actually respond since the community's been so badass and I never regretted taking time to talk to anyone here
I feel ya on the healing, defo build a habit of armor swapping when its safe just to keep up the pace and try to minimize loot time by always knowing what you're there to grab. You got this!
Loving the vid
Great video coach. I was wondering if you can help me, I'm a pred without a 20 bomb, my highest is 14 kills. I think my aims decent but game sense and cover or to engage or disengage are bad
Do not 1v1 people face to face, always use cover or corners to deal more damage than you take, always abuse high ground, always have cover to rotate around, if you see 2 enemies focusing you immediately back off and reposition and always try to split the fights into 1v1s meaning you usually don't take ground and fight but try to move around and make the players split up... Grenades work wonders, beaming 1 of them from a good angle which makes them back down to heal and then only 1 is on your ass... It's most important to take as little damage as possible so do not ever just drop into people's faces because you never know if the enemy is a pred with flawless aim or a bot lol
We can't do that stuff easily but if our team mates have this info and are to do what shif is doing we don't need crazy aim
I watch one of your vids yesterday and my first game was able to 1v3 a team because of it. Came back to hit the subscribe button and learn some more. Ty.
What was that soundtrack in the background?
Great good my guy good ass game
4:00 almost does a 360 towards enemy and I dont see his mouse move wtf..
He probably has a key for a 180° turnaround on his mouse
Why does it seem like the SBMM puts these guys in absolute bot lobbies
Because Shiv's insane and makes it look easy :D
HI!
I just started this game and Im happy if I even get 1k damage in a fight. This is insane...
Pause..
I WILL PAY FOR YOU TO COACH ME! pLEASE!
Just catch me on twitch and send me a youtube link of yourself playing, I coach for free and people can donate if they think it was useful! :D
I have a few past streems already on Twitch. Killer_Owens on Twitch
U should make MW content when Battle Royale is out
I really enjoyed Blackout, so I'll definitely give MW BR a chance when it comes out!
I hope it MW Battle Royale turns out good
yeah idk, this to me seems like one of those videos that sound like it would be helpful then you watch it and realize its all common sense things that you do already....shiv can just aim better lol
do aceu
First view and comment
You win!
This time... 👀
does this guy even made in pro games/competition? what his credibility to coach or analyse a game?
Apex is just Chess with better graphics
I like the content but am I the only who thinks he is not speaking loudly enough and that it's not energetic?
Pp
First !
Very poor breakdown . Missed a lot of key points he did for reasons , all you’re looking at is basic knowledge , and you call yourself a coach , you’re telling us step 1 and 5 , when shiv is doing step 1,2,3,4,5. Honest question does this coach even play the game ?
Lmao you didn't actually critique anything. Stop being a hater if you think his commentary is bad then explain how
Late reply but what is he supposed to do analyze shiv moving every step?
