I totally agree with you, the best era for music, fashion, movies, cartoons, and too many to list, it was so fun back then and so miss it. I need a time machine, where is Stewie Griffin? 😄 great reaction, thank you for taking us back to the good old days. Love and blessings from Canada 🍁

I’ll be Love You (Forever) was the next single after this one & their 1st #1. After that was Hangin’ Tough in 1989 with Donnie Wahlberg on lead & also another #1 hit.
NKOTB were put together in 1984 by Maurice Starr who also put New Edition together. 4 of the members were from the same neighborhood & were part of the desegregation bussing in Boston through the late 70s-80s. They were essentially the minority at their school so they were into rap, breakdancing, etc., as a result. They were actually signed to the black music division of their record label & marketed to R&B stations. All their shows were essentially to all black audiences for the first few years they were together. Their crossover to pop & ascension to teen idols was accidental, but they became the model for later boy bands. They were also poor kids from rough neighborhood, so there are a lot of things like that that make them a bit different from the groups who came after in their image.

I was around 6 or 7 bk then & I can tell you it was a GREAT time to be a kid... Even growing up in L.A during the crack era, it wasn't that heavy in some parts . We would ride, skates, skateboards,& bikes for miles ( helmet & pad free) , play hopscotch written in chalk , jump rope, play tag , had the BEST Saturday morning cartoons but knew it was over when " Soul Train " came on where you could learn to do dances like " The Running man", & Roger Rabbit ". We'd sneak to catch our parents watching some of the most iconic r rated movies of all times. We went to drive in theaters & fell asleep in the back of a " Station Wagon " lol 1988 was a FANTASTIC time to be a kid , 1998 was an even better time to be a teen 🙌🏽.

My favorite boyband!! This was back in 1988 I was 8 years old 😅 Donnie has leads in a lot of songs...his voice is a lot better nowadays, in my opinion, but he still sounded good back then too. Growing up in the 80s was fun! In my opinion, New Kids had great vocals, especially Jordan and Joey they had most of the leads in the songs. But I will admit that BSB are the best vocal boyband imo....and I love New Kids more 😅
    I enjoyed your reaction!

1980s and 1990s were the best time to be a kid and teen & public interaction!!! We were so lucky

It was definitely better back then. Less stress, carefree, went out of the house to hangout with friends daily instead of sitting on social media, no social media to worry about posting your "perfect life", clothes in brighter colors, dropped off at the skating rink, hanging out at the mall where all the other teens were, free to go biking everywhere without your parents worrying, going to the carnival, school games etc.
Stranger Things gives a very good representation of the time, minus all the monsters and death!😄 We played this music at the skating rink! 😁

Listen to Remix, Donnie sang most on that song. I would love to see you react to some Guns and Roses. Specifically Rocket Queen live in Tokyo!

It's 80s and 90s. If memory serves me correct, this dropped in like 88. I feel like I was 12 or so when this came out and I absolutely loved these guys. Still do, if I'm keeping it a buck.

Don't know if this played in the clubs... I was about 13 when I first got into these guys. They were HUGE in my age group! Yeah, those were REALLY fun times! They reunited in 2008 and are still putting out music, there latest stuff has a really similar vibe, fun, carefree :)

NKOTB is Donnie Wahlberg's band! He picked all of the guys for the band and they all went to middle school together. Jordan sang in the Choir... hence his amazing voice and falsetto. Donnie sings a few songs. Hanging Tough is one. Block Party is another!

What do you want to know about NKOTB?? I can help you out tons my friend! LOL New Kids were more like New Edition. That was the goal of Maurice Starr when he and Donnie Wahlberg when they started the group after New Edition's success. You are so right about the music being fun, because that's exactly what it's supposed to be. It takes me back to being 9-10 yrs old again. Also, they just released a new song last week
