And this track... Oh this track had all the girls swooning. People can say what they want but these dudes made panties drop all over the world back in the day. Maurice Starr managed and founded New Edition first. Then, when he was fired by them, he went on to manage and found New Kids On The Block, this time, he wanted an all white group. I think this is the reason why people compare the 2 groups, they had the same creator and manager... Both groups respect each other and what they do. They even performed together on the 2021 American Music Awards.

You can compare New Kids on the Block to New Edition because NKOTB was created to be the "white New Edition" by Maurice Starr. Both groups are from Boston and founded by the same person. NKOTB has said for well over 30 years that they're only here because of New Edition.
They were ignored until an R&B radio station started playing Please Don't Go Girl. They played the Apollo and the crowd loved them.
